၁ ကရိန္ထိနး 8
1 ဒေဝပြသာဒေ သရွွေၐာမ် အသ္မာကံ ဇ္ဉာနမာသ္တေ တဒွယံ ဝိဒ္မး၊ တထာပိ ဇ္ဉာနံ ဂရွွံ ဇနယတိ ကိန္တု ပြေမတော နိၐ္ဌာ ဇာယတေ၊
Concerning now the idol-sacrifices, we know indeed all knowledge we have. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
2 အတး ကၑ္စန ယဒိ မနျတေ မမ ဇ္ဉာနမာသ္တ ဣတိ တရှိ တေန ယာဒၖၑံ ဇ္ဉာနံ စေၐ္ဋိတဝျံ တာဒၖၑံ ကိမပိ ဇ္ဉာနမဒျာပိ န လဗ္ဓံ၊
If (now *k*) anyone thinks (to have known *N(k)O*) anything, (not yet *N(k)O*) (no [thing] *k*) (he knew *N(k)O*) even as it is necessary to know;
3 ကိန္တု ယ ဤၑွရေ ပြီယတေ သ ဤၑွရေဏာပိ ဇ္ဉာယတေ၊
If however anyone loves God, he has known by Him.
4 ဒေဝတာဗလိပြသာဒဘက္ၐဏေ ဝယမိဒံ ဝိဒ္မေါ ယတ် ဇဂန္မဓျေ ကော'ပိ ဒေဝေါ န ဝိဒျတေ, ဧကၑ္စေၑွရော ဒွိတီယော နာသ္တီတိ၊
Concerning the eating therefore of the idol-sacrifices we know that no [thing] an idol [is] in [the] world and that [there is] no God (other *k*) only except one.
5 သွရ္ဂေ ပၖထိဝျာံ ဝါ ယဒျပိ ကေၐုစိဒ် ဤၑွရ ဣတိ နာမာရောပျတေ တာဒၖၑာၑ္စ ဗဟဝ ဤၑွရာ ဗဟဝၑ္စ ပြဘဝေါ ဝိဒျန္တေ
Even truly if indeed if indeed there are [those] named gods whether in heaven or on (*k*) earth, as there are gods many and lords many;
6 တထာပျသ္မာကမဒွိတီယ ဤၑွရး သ ပိတာ ယသ္မာတ် သရွွေၐာံ ယဒရ္ထဉ္စာသ္မာကံ သၖၐ္ဋိ ရ္ဇာတာ, အသ္မာကဉ္စာဒွိတီယး ပြဘုး သ ယီၑုး ခြီၐ္ဋော ယေန သရွွဝသ္တူနာံ ယေနာသ္မာကမပိ သၖၐ္ဋိး ကၖတာ၊
yet to us [there is] one God the Father of whom [are] the [things] all and we ourselves for Him, and one Lord Jesus Christ through whom [are] the [things] all and we ourselves through Him.
7 အဓိကန္တု ဇ္ဉာနံ သရွွေၐာံ နာသ္တိ ယတး ကေစိဒဒျာပိ ဒေဝတာံ သမ္မနျ ဒေဝပြသာဒမိဝ တဒ် ဘက္ၐျံ ဘုဉ္ဇတေ တေန ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလတယာ တေၐာံ သွာန္တာနိ မလီမသာနိ ဘဝန္တိ၊
But not in all [is] this knowledge; Some now (by custom *N(K)O*) until now of the idol as of an idol-sacrifice eat, and the conscience of them weak being it is defiled.
8 ကိန္တု ဘက္ၐျဒြဝျာဒ် ဝယမ် ဤၑွရေဏ ဂြာဟျာ ဘဝါမသ္တန္နဟိ ယတော ဘုင်္က္တွာ ဝယမုတ္ကၖၐ္ဋာ န ဘဝါမသ္တဒွဒဘုင်္က္တွာပျပကၖၐ္ဋာ န ဘဝါမး၊
Food however us not (will commend *N(k)O*) to God; neither (for *ko*) if not we shall eat [still] do we come short [then] nor if we shall eat (have we an advantage. *NK(o)*)
9 အတော ယုၐ္မာကံ ယာ က္ၐမတာ သာ ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလာနာမ် ဥန္မာထသွရူပါ ယန္န ဘဝေတ် တဒရ္ထံ သာဝဓာနာ ဘဝတ၊
do be careful however lest perhaps the right of you this an occasion of stumbling may become to those (weak. *N(k)O*)
10 ယတော ဇ္ဉာနဝိၑိၐ္ဋသ္တွံ ယဒိ ဒေဝါလယေ ဥပဝိၐ္ဋး ကေနာပိ ဒၖၑျသေ တရှိ တသျ ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလသျ မနသိ ကိံ ပြသာဒဘက္ၐဏ ဥတ္သာဟော န ဇနိၐျတေ?
If for anyone shall see you who is having knowledge in an idol’s temple eating, surely the conscience of him weak being he will be encouraged the idol-sacrifices to eat?
11 တထာ သတိ ယသျ ကၖတေ ခြီၐ္ဋော မမာရ တဝ သ ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလော ဘြာတာ တဝ ဇ္ဉာနာတ် ကိံ န ဝိနံက္ၐျတိ?
(Is destroyed *N(K)O*) (for *N(k)O*) the [one] who is being weak (through *N(k)O*) your knowledge, (the *no*) brother for whom Christ died.
12 ဣတျနေန ပြကာရေဏ ဘြာတၖဏာံ ဝိရုဒ္ဓမ် အပရာဓျဒ္ဘိသ္တေၐာံ ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလာနိ မနာံသိ ဝျာဃာတယဒ္ဘိၑ္စ ယုၐ္မာဘိး ခြီၐ္ဋသျ ဝဲပရီတျေနာပရာဓျတေ၊
Thus then sinning against the brothers and wounding their conscience being weak, against Christ you sin.
