1 ১ মম প্রথম আদেশোঽযং, প্রার্থনাৱিনযনিৱেদনধন্যৱাদাঃ কর্ত্তৱ্যাঃ,
First of all then, I am urging that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered regularly for all men;
2 ২ সর্ৱ্ৱেষাং মানৱানাং কৃতে ৱিশেষতো ৱযং যৎ শান্তৎৱেন নির্ৱ্ৱিরোধৎৱেন চেশ্চরভক্তিং ৱিনীতৎৱঞ্চাচরন্তঃ কালং যাপযামস্তদর্থং নৃপতীনাম্ উচ্চপদস্থানাঞ্চ কৃতে তে কর্ত্তৱ্যাঃ|
for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and peaceful life in all godliness an gravity.
3 ৩ যতোঽস্মাকং তারকস্যেশ্ৱরস্য সাক্ষাৎ তদেৱোত্তমং গ্রাহ্যঞ্চ ভৱতি,
For this is good and pleasing in the eyes of our Saviour God,
4 ৪ স সর্ৱ্ৱেষাং মানৱানাং পরিত্রাণং সত্যজ্ঞানপ্রাপ্তিঞ্চেচ্ছতি|
whose will it is that all men should be saved, and come into full knowledge of the truth.
5 ৫ যত একোঽদ্ৱিতীয ঈশ্ৱরো ৱিদ্যতে কিঞ্চেশ্ৱরে মানৱেষু চৈকো ঽদ্ৱিতীযো মধ্যস্থঃ
For God is one; and one is mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 ৬ স নরাৱতারঃ খ্রীষ্টো যীশু র্ৱিদ্যতে যঃ সর্ৱ্ৱেষাং মুক্তে র্মূল্যম্ আত্মদানং কৃতৱান্| এতেন যেন প্রমাণেনোপযুক্তে সমযে প্রকাশিতৱ্যং,
who gave himself as a ransom in behalf of all, to be attested in due time.
7 ৭ তদ্ঘোষযিতা দূতো ৱিশ্ৱাসে সত্যধর্ম্মে চ ভিন্নজাতীযানাম্ উপদেশকশ্চাহং ন্যযূজ্যে, এতদহং খ্রীষ্টস্য নাম্না যথাতথ্যং ৱদামি নানৃতং কথযামি|
It was for this testimony that I myself was appointed a herald and apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), to be a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 ৮ অতো মমাভিমতমিদং পুরুষৈঃ ক্রোধসন্দেহৌ ৱিনা পৱিত্রকরান্ উত্তোল্য সর্ৱ্ৱস্মিন্ স্থানে প্রার্থনা ক্রিযতাং|
My wish, then, is that in every place the men should offer prayer, lifting up holy hands, free from anger and disputation;
9 ৯ তদ্ৱৎ নার্য্যোঽপি সলজ্জাঃ সংযতমনসশ্চ সত্যো যোগ্যমাচ্ছাদনং পরিদধতু কিঞ্চ কেশসংস্কারৈঃ কণকমুক্তাভি র্মহার্ঘ্যপরিচ্ছদৈশ্চাত্মভূষণং ন কুর্ৱ্ৱত্যঃ
in like manner also the women. I desire women to clothe themselves in suitable apparel, adorning themselves with reverence and self- restraint; not with hair plaited with gold or pearls, or with expensive clothes,
10 ১০ স্ৱীকৃতেশ্ৱরভক্তীনাং যোষিতাং যোগ্যৈঃ সত্যর্ম্মভিঃ স্ৱভূষণং কুর্ৱ্ৱতাং|
but (as becomes women proclaiming godliness) with the ornament of good deeds.
11 ১১ নারী সম্পূর্ণৱিনীতৎৱেন নির্ৱিরোধং শিক্ষতাং|
Let a woman learn quietly in entire submission.
12 ১২ নার্য্যাঃ শিক্ষাদানং পুরুষাযাজ্ঞাদানং ৱাহং নানুজানামি তযা নির্ৱ্ৱিরোধৎৱম্ আচরিতৱ্যং|
I allow no woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man; but let her keep quiet.
13 ১৩ যতঃ প্রথমম্ আদমস্ততঃ পরং হৱাযাঃ সৃষ্টি র্বভূৱ|
It was Adam who was first formed, then Eve.
14 ১৪ কিঞ্চাদম্ ভ্রান্তিযুক্তো নাভৱৎ যোষিদেৱ ভ্রান্তিযুক্তা ভূৎৱাত্যাচারিণী বভূৱ|
And it was not Adam who was deceived; but it was the woman who was thoroughly deceived, and who became involved in transgression.
15 ১৫ তথাপি নারীগণো যদি ৱিশ্ৱাসে প্রেম্নি পৱিত্রতাযাং সংযতমনসি চ তিষ্ঠতি তর্হ্যপত্যপ্রসৱৱর্ত্মনা পরিত্রাণং প্রাপ্স্যতি|
Notwithstanding she will be saved by the Child-bearing; (so will they all), if they live in faith and love and holiness, with self- restraint.
