মথিঃ 11
1 ১ ইত্থং যীশুঃ স্ৱদ্ৱাদশশিষ্যাণামাজ্ঞাপনং সমাপ্য পুৰে পুৰ উপদেষ্টুং সুসংৱাদং প্ৰচাৰযিতুং তৎস্থানাৎ প্ৰতস্থে|
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of his charge to his twelve disciples, that he departed thence, to teach and to preach in their cities.
2 ২ অনন্তৰং যোহন্ কাৰাযাং তিষ্ঠন্ খ্ৰিষ্টস্য কৰ্ম্মণাং ৱাৰ্ত্তং প্ৰাপ্য যস্যাগমনৱাৰ্ত্তাসীৎ সএৱ কিং ৎৱং? ৱা ৱযমন্যম্ অপেক্ষিষ্যামহে?
And John, having heard in the prison of the works of Christ, sent by his disciples,
and said to him, Art thou he that is to come, or are we to look for another?
4 ৪ যীশুঃ প্ৰত্যৱোচৎ, অন্ধা নেত্ৰাণি লভন্তে, খঞ্চা গচ্ছন্তি, কুষ্ঠিনঃ স্ৱস্থা ভৱন্তি, বধিৰাঃ শৃণ্ৱন্তি, মৃতা জীৱন্ত উত্তিষ্ঠন্তি, দৰিদ্ৰাণাং সমীপে সুসংৱাদঃ প্ৰচাৰ্য্যত,
And Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John what ye hear and see.
The blind receive sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised, and to the poor good tidings are brought;
and blessed is he, whoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.
7 ৭ অনন্তৰং তযোঃ প্ৰস্থিতযো ৰ্যীশু ৰ্যোহনম্ উদ্দিশ্য জনান্ জগাদ, যূযং কিং দ্ৰষ্টুং ৱহিৰ্মধ্যেপ্ৰান্তৰম্ অগচ্ছত? কিং ৱাতেন কম্পিতং নলং?
And, as these were going, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? the reeds shaken by the wind?
8 ৮ ৱা কিং ৱীক্ষিতুং ৱহিৰ্গতৱন্তঃ? কিং পৰিহিতসূক্ষ্মৱসনং মনুজমেকং? পশ্যত, যে সূক্ষ্মৱসনানি পৰিদধতি, তে ৰাজধান্যাং তিষ্ঠন্তি|
But why did ye go out? to see a man clothed in soft raiment? Lo! they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
9 ৯ তৰ্হি যূযং কিং দ্ৰষ্টুং বহিৰগমত, কিমেকং ভৱিষ্যদ্ৱাদিনং? তদেৱ সত্যং| যুষ্মানহং ৱদামি, স ভৱিষ্যদ্ৱাদিনোপি মহান্;
But why did ye go out? to see a prophet? Yea, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
10 ১০ যতঃ, পশ্য স্ৱকীযদূতোযং ৎৱদগ্ৰে প্ৰেষ্যতে মযা| স গৎৱা তৱ পন্থানং স্মযক্ পৰিষ্কৰিষ্যতি|| এতদ্ৱচনং যমধি লিখিতমাস্তে সোঽযং যোহন্|
For this is he of whom it is written: “Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.”
11 ১১ অপৰং যুষ্মানহং তথ্যং ব্ৰৱীমি, মজ্জযিতু ৰ্যোহনঃ শ্ৰেষ্ঠঃ কোপি নাৰীতো নাজাযত; তথাপি স্ৱৰ্গৰাজ্যমধ্যে সৰ্ৱ্ৱেভ্যো যঃ ক্ষুদ্ৰঃ স যোহনঃ শ্ৰেষ্ঠঃ|
Truly do I say to you, Among those born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist. But he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent seize upon it.
For all the Prophets and the Law, until John, prophesied.
And if ye are willing to receive it, he is the Elijah who was to come.
He that hath ears, let him hear.
But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, who call to their fellows,
17 ১৭ ৱযং যুষ্মাকং সমীপে ৱংশীৰৱাদযাম, কিন্তু যূযং নানৃত্যত; যুষ্মাকং সমীপে চ ৱযমৰোদিম, কিন্তু যূযং ন ৱ্যলপত, তাদৃশৈ ৰ্বালকৈস্ত উপমাযিষ্যন্তে|
and say, We piped to you, and ye did not dance; we sung a dirge, and ye did not lament.
For John came neither eating nor drinking; and they say, He hath a demon.
19 ১৯ মনুজসুত আগত্য ভুক্তৱান্ পীতৱাংশ্চ, তেন লোকা ৱদন্তি, পশ্যত এষ ভোক্তা মদ্যপাতা চণ্ডালপাপিনাং বন্ধশ্চ, কিন্তু জ্ঞানিনো জ্ঞানৱ্যৱহাৰং নিৰ্দোষং জানন্তি|
The Son of man came eating and drinking; and they say, Behold, a glutton and a wine-bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified by her works.
20 ২০ স যত্ৰ যত্ৰ পুৰে বহ্ৱাশ্চৰ্য্যং কৰ্ম্ম কৃতৱান্, তন্নিৱাসিনাং মনঃপৰাৱৃত্ত্যভাৱাৎ তানি নগৰাণি প্ৰতি হন্তেত্যুক্তা কথিতৱান্,
Then he began to upbraid the cities wherein most of his miracles were done, because they did not repent.
21 ২১ হা কোৰাসীন্, হা বৈৎসৈদে, যুষ্মন্মধ্যে যদ্যদাশ্চৰ্য্যং কৰ্ম্ম কৃতং যদি তৎ সোৰসীদোন্নগৰ অকাৰিষ্যত, তৰ্হি পূৰ্ৱ্ৱমেৱ তন্নিৱাসিনঃ শাণৱসনে ভস্মনি চোপৱিশন্তো মনাংসি পৰাৱৰ্ত্তিষ্যন্ত|
Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
But I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
23 ২৩ অপৰঞ্চ বত কফৰ্নাহূম্, ৎৱং স্ৱৰ্গং যাৱদুন্নতোসি, কিন্তু নৰকে নিক্ষেপ্স্যসে, যস্মাৎ ৎৱযি যান্যাশ্চৰ্য্যাণি কৰ্ম্মণ্যকাৰিষত, যদি তানি সিদোম্নগৰ অকাৰিষ্যন্ত, তৰ্হি তদদ্য যাৱদস্থাস্যৎ| (Hadēs g86)
And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? Thou shalt be brought down to the underworld; for if the miracles which were done in thee had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs g86)
But I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
25 ২৫ এতস্মিন্নেৱ সমযে যীশুঃ পুনৰুৱাচ, হে স্ৱৰ্গপৃথিৱ্যোৰেকাধিপতে পিতস্ত্ৱং জ্ঞানৱতো ৱিদুষশ্চ লোকান্ প্ৰত্যেতানি ন প্ৰকাশ্য বালকান্ প্ৰতি প্ৰকাশিতৱান্, ইতি হেতোস্ত্ৱাং ধন্যং ৱদামি|
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, thou didst reveal them to babes.
Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 ২৭ পিত্ৰা মযি সৰ্ৱ্ৱাণি সমৰ্পিতানি, পিতৰং ৱিনা কোপি পুত্ৰং ন জানাতি, যান্ প্ৰতি পুত্ৰেণ পিতা প্ৰকাশ্যতে তান্ ৱিনা পুত্ৰাদ্ অন্যঃ কোপি পিতৰং ন জানাতি|
All things were delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth the Son but the Father; nor doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it is the will of the Son to reveal him.
Come to me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 ২৯ অহং ক্ষমণশীলো নম্ৰমনাশ্চ, তস্মাৎ মম যুগং স্ৱেষামুপৰি ধাৰযত মত্তঃ শিক্ষধ্ৱঞ্চ, তেন যূযং স্ৱে স্ৱে মনসি ৱিশ্ৰামং লপ্স্যধ্বে|
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
