< Chongphuong 13 >
1 Male dragon hah tuikhanglien panga han ânding zoi. Hanchu sarâng tuikhanglien renga hong jôk ku mua. Rikingei sôm dôn le lungei sari dôn ania; a riki zeta han rênglukhum aom leta, male a lu zeta han Pathien êrona riming aom sa.
Then I saw a beast with ten horns and seven heads rising out of the sea. There were ten royal crowns on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.
2 Sarâng ku mu hah ikeiarsi aphuoa, a kengei hah ivom kengei aphuoa male a bâi hah ikeibaknei bâi aphuoa. Dragon han sarâng kôm a sinthotheina, a rêngsukmun le a rachamneina lientak ngei hah a pêka.
The beast I saw was like a leopard, with the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
3 Sarâng lungei kâra inkhat hah thi theina dôra popin ku mua, aniatachu a sâbê hah ahong dam zoi. Pilchung pumpuia mingei han an kamâma, sarâng nûk an jûi zoia.
One of the heads of the beast appeared to be mortally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world marveled and followed the beast.
4 Sarâng kôm han a rachamneina a pêk sikin dragon hah mi murdi'n chubai an mûk zoi. Anni ngei han sarâng khom chubai an mûk sa, “Sarâng anga hi tumo aom? Tumo a doi thei rang?” tiin.
They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?”
5 Sarâng hah inpâk thei rang le Pathien êro thei rangin phal ania, male tha sômminlileinik sûnga rachamnei rangin phal ani sa.
The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months.
6 Pathien le a riming, aomna ngâi mun le invâna omngei murdi khomâksâm a phut zoi ani.
And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.
7 Pathien mingei doia mene rangin phal ani zoia, chitin, namtin, chongtin, le jâttin chunga rachamneina a kôm pêkin aom zoi.
Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
8 Rammuol insieng mâna Belrite that sai ta ngei ringna lekhabua an riming chuongsai ngei tiloiin pilchunga omngei murdi'n ama chubaimûk an tih.
And all who dwell on the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb who was slain.
9 “Hanchu, kuorngei nin dônin chu rangâi roi!
He who has an ear, let him hear:
10 Tukhom suoka om rang anînchu suoka om tatak a ta, tukhom khandaia that rang anînchu khandai leh thatin om tatak a tih. Pathien mingei chu an tuongdier rang le taksônoma an om ranga koi an ni.”
“If anyone is destined for captivity, into captivity he will go; if anyone is to die by the sword, by the sword he must be killed.” Here is a call for the perseverance and faith of the saints.
11 Hanchu sarâng adang pilchung renga ahong jôk ku mua. Belrite angin rikingei inik a dôna, male dragon angin a chonga.
Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. This beast had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.
12 Sarâng inkhatna rachamneina lientak hah sarâng masa makunga a manga. Pilchung le a chunga miriem omngei hah sarâng masa thi theina dôra popsai, a dam nôk hah chubaimûk rangin a dânderîta.
And this beast exercised all the authority of the first beast and caused the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
13 Ma sarâng inikna han sininkhêlngei roiinpui a thoa; invân renga pilchunga mi murdi mitmua mei a juong musuma.
And the second beast performed great signs to cause even fire from heaven to come down to earth in the presence of the people.
14 Male sarâng inkhatna mitmua sininkhêlngei tho ranga phalna a man sika han pilchunga mingei murdi a huonga; an kôm, sarâng khandaia pop sai la dam nôk miritna rangin ama rimil sin rangin chong a ril ngeia.
Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived.
15 Sarâng inkhatna rimil hah a chong theina rang le chubaimûk loi ngei murdi a that theina rangin sarâng inikna kôm han ringna phûk pêk theina rangin phalna pêk ani.
The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed.
16 Mingei murdi, achîn alien, anei ânrieng, suok le zalen mi khom an kut changtiengngeia aninônchu an machalngeia sînthona dôn pak rangin a dânderîta.
And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17 Sarâng riming aninônchu a riming number sînthona dônloi ngeiin chu tutên ite rochôk theiloi le zuor theiloi rangin.
so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 Mahin vârna anâng. Tukhom riettheina dônin chu sarâng number hah aomtie ha sût rese, munisi riming number ani sikin 666 ani.
Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666.
