< Matthew 26 >
1 Hanchu Jisua'n ha chongngei murdi hah a ril zoiin chu a ruoisingei kôm,
AND it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples,
2 “Sûnnik suoleh, Kalkân kût hong om atih iti nin rieta. Miriem Nâipasal hih jêmdel rangin pêk nîng atih,” a tia.
Ye know that after two days is the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
3 Hanchu ochaisingei le Upangei hah Ochai Inlal Caiaphas inpuia intongna an neia,
Then were the chief priests and scribes, and the elders of the people gathered together in the palace of the high-priest, called Caiaphas.
4 inrûkin an sûra, an that rang lam an mintuoa.
And they consulted together, how they might seize Jesus by guile, and put him to death.
5 Nikhomrese, “Kût sûngin chu ni no rese, mipui lâia injêlna tete om duoi nih,” an tia.
But they said, Not on the feast-day, lest there be a tumult among the people.
6 Hanchu, Jisua hah Bethany'a aphârpa Simon inah a oma.
Now when Jesus was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 Jisua bu a nêk lâitakin, nupang inkhat alabaster bilôrin sariek mirimhoi man luttak ahong chôia, a luah a buok pea.
there came to him a woman having an alabaster-box of very precious aromatic ointment, and poured it upon his head as he sat at table.
8 Ruoisingeiin an mu inchu an ningathika. “Irangmo hi anga a inchek hi?
But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, For what end is this waste?
9 Hi mirimhoi hih man tamtaka zuora, inriengngei kôma sem thei kêng ani,” an tia.
For this ointment might have been sold for a considerable sum, and given to the poor.
10 Jisua'n an ti ngei hah a rieta, an kôm, “Ithomo hi nupangnu hih nin rokôk? kata rangin sin asa le enhoi tak ai tho ani.
Then Jesus knowing it, said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath performed a good act upon me:
11 Inriengngei chu nin kôma om tit an nia, hannirese, kei chu nin kôma om bang noning.
for the poor ye have always with you, but me ye have not always:
12 Hi sariek mirimhoi ka takpuma ai buok hih phûm ranga ni sinsiamna ranga ai tho ani.
for in pouring this odoriferous ointment on my body, she hath done it for my burial.
13 Atûn, chongdiktak nangni ki ril, rammuol pumpuia thurchisa an misîrna nâma, hi nupangnu sintho khom hih ama riettitna rangin misîr sa ngâi an tih,” a tia.
Verily I say unto you, Wherever this Gospel is preached through the whole world, what she hath done shall be also spoken of for a memorial of her.
14 Masuole Ruoisi sômleinik ngei lâia inkhat a riming Judas Iscariot an ti hah ochaisingei kôm a sea
Then went one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests,
15 Male ama'n, “Jisua nangni ki minsûr inte imo mi nin pêk rang?” a tia. Anni han sumdâr sômthum an tela ama an pêka.
and said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? Then they placed before him thirty pieces of silver.
16 Masuo renga chu Judas han Jisua an kuta a pêk theina rangin chuminrên a rok tit zoi.
And from that time he sought an opportunity to deliver him up to them.
17 Cholboivâipôl Kût ni sûn motontakah han, ruoisingei an honga, Jisua kôm, “Kalkân Kût hih khotieng mo va minsûk unglang nu nuom?” tiin an rekela.
Then on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 Ama han an kôm, “khopuiliena mi inkhat kôm se ungla, a kôm. ‘Minchupu'n ko zora anâi zoia; ku ruoisingei leh Kalkân Kût ni inah mang kin tih,’ a ti va ti roi,” a tia.
And he said, Go into the city, unto such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the passover with my disciples at thy house.
19 Jisua'n an kôm he a be lam angtakin an thoa, Kalkân Kût hah an va minsûk zoia.
And his disciples did as Jesus commanded them; and they made ready the passover.
20 Kholoi ahong nînchu, Jisua le ruoisi sômleinik hah khalâi ottin an insung lâiin.
And when the evening was come, he sat down at table with the twelve.
21 Khalâi an ot lâitakin Jisua'n an kôm, “Nangni ki ril, nin lâia mi inkhat hin ni minsûr a tih,” a tipe ngeia.
And as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Hanchu ruoisingei mulung dûkatonga, a kôm, “Pumapa, keima mo mi ni ti?” tiin inkhat inkhatin an rekel paka.
And exceedingly grieved, they began to say to him every one of them, Lord, am I the person?
23 Jisua'n an kôm, “Khênga vâipôl mi pûrpuipu hin ni minsûr a tih.
But he answering said, He that dippeth his hand with me into the dish, that man shall betray me.
24 Pathien Lekhabu'n ai ti anghan, Miriem Nâipasal hih thîng a tih, nikhomrese, Miriem Nâipasal minsûrpu chung chu arik bâk rang na! Ha miriem ha chu ânzir tetloi nisenla ata rangin sa uol a tih,” a tia.
The Son of man indeed is departing, as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed! well had it been for that man if he had never had a being.
25 A minsûr rangpu Judas hah a hongchonga, “Minchupu, keima mo mini ti tatak?” tiin a rekela. Jisua'n a kôm, “Nên ti hate” tiin a thuona.
Then Judas, who betrayed him, addressing him said, Master, is it I? He saith to him, Thou hast named the person.
26 Hanchu an sâk lâitakin, Jisua'n vâipôl a lâka, râisânchong a ril zoiin chu a khoia, a ruoisingei kôm a pêka, an kôma, “Lâk ungla, sâk roi, hi hih ka taksa ani,” a tia.
Then as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessing, brake, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
27 Masuole chu, kilât a lâka, Pathien kôm râisânchong a ril zoiin chu an kôm a pêka, “Nêk roi, nin rêngin;
And taking the cup, and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of this:
28 ma hih ki thisen mi tamtak nunsie ngâidamna ranga suok rang, Pathien chonginkhit mindet rang chu ani.
for this is my blood, that blood of the new testament, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins.
29 Nangni ki ril, Ka Pa Rêngrama nangni leh uain thar ke nêk ni atung mâka chu hi uain hih nêk nôk khâi no ning,” a tia.
And I tell you, That I will no more henceforth drink of this produce of the vine, until that day when I drink it with you, new, in the kingdom of my Father.
30 Masuole chu la inkhat an thoa, an tho suolechu Oliv tâng tieng an se zoi.
And when they had sung an hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.
31 Hanchu Jisua'n an kôm, “Avien jân lelea hin nin rêngin rot let nin ta, ni mâk riei nin tih, Pathien Lekhabu'n, ‘Pathien'n belrihôlpu hah that an ta, belringei hah chekinchâi chit an tih,’ a ti sikin.
Then saith Jesus unto them, Ye all will be offended at me this night: for it is written, “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”
32 nikhomrese, kên thoinôk suoleh Galilee rama nin motona lei sêng ki tih,” a tia.
But after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
33 Peter'n a kôm, “Adangngeiin nang mâk riei khomrese ngei, keiman chu nang mâk tet no ning!” a tia.
Then Peter, taking up the word, said to him, Though all should be offended at thee, yet will I never be offended.
34 Jisua'n Peter kôm, “Nang ki ril, avien jân ârkhuong mân nangma'n voithum keima hih riet ngâi mu-ung ni tîng ni tih,” a tipea.
Jesus saith to him, I tell thee of a certainty, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
35 Peter'n a kôm, “Ni thina thisa rang khom nînlang ma anghan ti tet no ning,” tiin a thuona. Ruoisi dangngei khomin ha angdên han an ti paka.
Peter said to him, Though I should die with thee, never will I deny thee. In like manner also said all the disciples.
36 Hanchu Jisua hah a ruoisingei leh munkhatin Gethsemani an tina han an sea, Jisua'n an kôm, “Soson chubai ka va tho sûngkâr chu hin lên sung roi,” a tipe ngeia.
Then cometh Jesus with them to a place called Gethsemane, and saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 Peter le Jebedee nâipasal inik ngei hah a tuonga, Rathainvâina le mulungdûk tongnân ahong sipa,
And taking Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be deeply sorrowful, and to be overwhelmed with dejection.
38 male an kôm, “ka mulungdûk atong raia athi rang dôrin kêng ki ni zoi. Hin om ungla mên ning pui roi,” a tia.
Then saith he to them. My soul is exceeding sorrowful even to death: abide here, and watch with me.
39 Hanchu, mântieng ava se uol vieta, pila ânboka, chubai a thoa, “O Pa, anitheiin chu, hi tuongna kilât hih ko kôm renga ni khâi pai pe roh! Nikhomrese, keima racham niloiin nangma racham ni rese,” a tia.
And going a little farther, he fell on his face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 Masuole chu a hongkîr nôka, ruoisi inthum ngei hah an inin a hong mua; Peter kôm, “Inmo nangni inthum hite dârkâr khat luo khom mi inningpui thei loi tie hi?
And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and he saith to Peter, Is it so, that ye have not strength to watch with me one hour?
41 Huongna nin lût loina rangin intûng chienin chubai roi. Ratha'n chu a nuoma, taksa'n ai phari loi ani” a tia.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak.
42 Hanchu, avoiniknân Jisua a se nôka, a chubai nôka, “O pa hi tuongna kilât hi ke nêk loia pai thei aninônchu nangma racham ni rese,” a tia.
Again the second time he went away, and prayed, saying, O my Father, If it be not possible, that this cup pass from me, but that I should drink it, thy will be done.
43 A hong nôkin chu ruoisingei hah ain dênin a mu nôka; an mitngei reng an meng zoi loi sikin.
And coming, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were weighed down.
44 Jisua'n a mâk ngei nôka, a voithumnân a ti nanâk hah tiin chubai a tho nôka.
And leaving them, he went away again, and prayed the third time, repeating the same sentence.
45 Male ruoisingei kôm a hong nôka, an kôm, “Atûn tena inngamin nin la in bang na? En ta u, Miriem Nâipasal hih mi nunsiengei kuta pêk rang zora ahongtung zoi.
Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Do ye still sleep on, and repose yourselves? lo! the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Inthoi ungla, sêng ei ti zoi. En ta u, ni sûr rangpu hih ahong nâi zoi!” a tia.
Arise, let us go: lo! he that betrayeth me approaches.
47 Hanchu, Jisua a chong la mong loiin ruoisi sômleinik ngei lâia Judas hah a hong tunga. Ama lômin Ochaisingei le Upangei hongtîr mipui, khandai le tôkmol chôiin an hong sa.
And while he was yet speaking, behold, Judas one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 A minsûr rangpu han, “A bieng ku tum takhah nin rokpu nîng a tih, sûr kelen roi!” tiin minsinna a lei pêksai ani.
Now he that betrayed him had given them a signal, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: seize him.
49 Judas hah Jisua kôm a se pata, a kôm, “Minchupu, nu chunga rathanngamna om rese,” tiin a bieng a tuma.
And immediately approaching to Jesus, he said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
50 Jisua'n a kôm, “Mal, no hongna abi tho kelen roh!” a ti pea, Hanchu an honga, Jisua hah an sûr zoi.
Then spake Jesus to him, Friend, for what purpose art thou here? Then approaching they laid hands on Jesus, and seized him.
51 Jisua kôma om ngei lâia inkhatin a khandai a leka Ochai Inlaltak, a tîrlâmpa kuor a tukthâk pea.
And behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretching out his hand, drew his sword, and striking at a servant of the high-priest, cut off his ear.
52 Jisua'n a kôm, “Na khandai hah a koka thun nôk ta roh. khandai a lek ngei chu khandai nanâkin thîng an tih.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Return thy sword into its sheath: for all who take the sword, shall perish by the sword.
53 Ka Pa kôm sanna ko zong theia, ama'n voikhatrengin vântîrton isâng ruk pâl sômleinik nêka tam a juongtîr thei iti ni riet loi mini?
Thinkest thou, that I cannot now entreat my Father, and he will give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Nikhomrese, ngên ta inlang, i angin mo Pathien chong hih hi anga hong iom rang hih ai tung thei ranga?” a tia.
But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
55 Hanchu, Jisua'n lokongei kôm han, “Khandai leh tôkmol chôiin inru sûr rang leh in-ang bangin misûr rangin nin hong na? Nîngtin Biekinah kên sunga, ki minchu ngâia, mahan misûr mak cheia.
In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and staves to apprehend me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid not hold upon me.
56 Nikhomrese, dêipungei chong miziek ngei hah ahong tung dik theina rangin, hi ngei murdi hih a hong iom ani hi,” a tia. Hanchu, ruoisingei murdi'n ama an mâk raka an rêngin an rot riei zoi.
But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets should be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
57 Hanchu, Jisua sûrngei han, Ochai Inlaltak Caiaphas inah Balam minchupungei le Upangei lei intûpna han an tuong zoia.
Then they who had apprehended Jesus, brought him to Caiaphas the high-priest, where the scribes and elders were assembled.
58 Peter'n alazanin a jûia, Ochai Inlaltak in khalâi dênin a jûia. Khalâidung a lûta a mongna mu rang nuomin a rungpungei kâra han ânsunga.
But Peter followed him at a great distance unto the palace of the high-priest, and entering in, sat down with the servants, to see the issue.
59 Jisua an that theina rangin Ochaisingei le roijêkpu murdi han theiloi an mintum theina rang abi an roka;
Now the chief priests and elders and the whole sanhedrim, sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death;
60 nikhomrese, mu mak ngei, mi tamtak hongin a chungroia milak ril khom senla ngei. Anûktakah mi inik an honga,
and found none: and though many false witnesses came, they found it not sufficient. But at the last two false witnesses stepping forth,
61 male, “Hi mi hin, Biekin hih setin sûnthumin ki sin nôk thei,” a ti an tia.
said, This fellow said, I am able to pull down the temple of God, and to build it up in three days.
62 Ochai Inlaltak hah ândinga, Jisua kôm, “Hi nang an nônna roia hin ite thuonna ni nei loi rang mo?” a tia.
And the high-priest rising up, said to him, Answerest thou nothing? what do these men witness against thee?
63 Nikhomrese, Jisua chu a dâireka. Ochai Inlaltak han arkôk nôka, “Pathien aring rimingin nang ki ti; ni ril roh, Pathien Nâipasal Messiah hah nini mo?” a tia.
But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest addressing him, said, I adjure thee, by the living God, that thou tell us, if thou art the Messiah, the Son of God.
64 Jisua'n a kôm, “Ni na ti hate. Mahah ninôn khom nang ki ril; atûn renga Miriem Nâipasal hih Râtinchung chang tienga, insunga, invâna sûm chunga juong la mûng nin tih,” a tia.
Jesus saith to him, Thou hast spoken the fact. Moreover I tell you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Ochai Inlal han a puonsilngei a potkhêra, “Pathien a rilsiet zoi; Rietpuipu dang nâng khâi mak meh! Pathien a rilsiet tie chu nin riet zoi!
Then the high-priest rent his garments, saying, he hath blasphemed: what farther need have we of witnesses? lo! now ye have heard his blasphemy:
66 I angin mo nin mindon?” a tia. Anni han, “A tho minchâi, athi ngêt rang ani” an tia.
what think ye? They answered and said, He is deserving of death.
67 Hanchu a mâia an michila male an jêma; senkhatin,
Then they spit in his face, and buffeted him about; and some slapt his face with their hands,
68 “Ni ril roh, Messiah, Tumo nang a jêm?” tiin an bêna.
saying, Prophesy to us, you Messiah, who it is that struck thee!
69 Hanchu, Peter hah rukul sûng khalâiah ânsunga, Ochai Inlaltak tîrlâm dôngmate inkhat a honga, a kôm, “Nang khom, Jisua Galilee rama mi kôm no om ngâi,” a tipea.
Now Peter sat without in the hall: and there came to him a single maid-servant, saying, Thou also wert with Jesus of Galilee.
70 Hannirese, an rênga makunga a minlêma. “I thurchi mo nin misîr reng riet mu-ung” tiin a thuona.
But he denied it before them all, asserting, I know not what thou art saying.
71 Rukul mokot pêntieng ava jôka, tîrlâm dôngmate dangin a lei mu nôka. Ha takah omngei kôma han, “Hi mi hih, Nazareth Jisua kôma a om ngâi” a tia.
Then as he was going out at the gate, another maid-servant saw him, and saith to those who were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
72 Peter'n a minlêm nôka, “Khomâk insâmin ki ti ani, ha mi hah riet mu-ung!” a ti nôka.
Then again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.
73 Chomolte suoleh chu hataka inding ngei hah Peter kôm an honga, a kôm, “Nang khom an lâia mi nini khet, No chong lam renga hin ei riet thei!” an tipea.
But after a little while they who stood by, came up and said to Peter, Assuredly thou also art one of them: for even thy speech maketh thee manifest.
74 Male Peter'n an kôm, “Chongdik rillin khomâk kên sâm ani! Adik nônchu Pathien'n dûk ni mintong rese! Ha mi hah riet tet mu-ung!” a tia. Masuolechu âr akhuong kelen zoi,
Then began he to utter the bitterest curses, and to swear, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said unto him, Before the cock shall crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And going out, he wept bitterly.
