< John 8 >
1 Hanchu mitinin an ina an sea, aniatachu, Jisua chu Olive tânga a sea.
but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 Anangtûk jînga ânmânin Biekina a se nôka. Mipuingei murdi a kôm an hôn tûpa; ânsunga anni ngei ha a minchu ngei phut zoia.
Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.
3 Balam minchupungei le Phariseengei han nupangnu ânrê lâitaka an sûrnu hah an hong tuonga, male an rênga an moton han amanu hah an mindinga.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
4 Jisua kôm, “Minchupu, hi nupangnu hih ânrê lâitaka kin sûr ani.
they said to him, "Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5 Ei Balamin Moses chongpêk angin chu hi nupangu hih lung leh dêng that ngêt rang ani. Atûn hin, nangman kho angin mo ni ti?” an tia.
Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such. So what do you say?"
6 Ma hah ama min ôkna ranga an ti ani, demna an man theina rangin. Aniatachu Jisua ân kûna, a kutruol leh pil a mizieka.
Now they said this to test him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7 Ma anga indingin chong an rekel anghan ânthoi lita, male an kôm, “Nin lâia nunsie tho loitakin motontaka lung leh amanu hah dêng bak roi,” a tia.
But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."
8 Hanchu ân kûn nôka, a kutruol leh pil a miziek nôka.
Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
9 A chong hah an rietin chu, a ulien dônin inkhat inkhatin, an rot riei zoia. Jisua hah athenin an mâk raka, nupangnu hah ma muna a lân ding chien lehan.
But when they heard it, they went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last, and he was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10 Jisua hah a hôn dinga, nupangnu kôm han, “Khonmo an om suo zoi? Tutên theiloi nang mintum rang om khâi mak ngei na?” a tia.
Then Jesus, standing up, said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?"
11 Amanu han a thuona, “Pu, tutên theiloi mi mintum mak ngei,” a tia. Jisua'n a kôm, “Asa, nônchu, kei khom theiloi nang mintum uol mu-ung. Se roh, hannirese nunsie tho nôk khâi no roh,”] a tia.
And she said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."
12 Jisua'n Phariseengei kôm a chong nôka. “Keima hi rammuol vâr ki ni,” a tia. “Tukhom mi jûi murdi chu ringna vâr dôn an ta, ijînga lôn tet no ni ngei.”
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
13 Phariseengeiin a kôm, “Atûn hin nu thurchi nanâk kêng ni misîr; nu thurchi misîr dik mak,” an tia.
The Pharisees therefore said to him, "You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid."
14 “Nimak,” Jisua'n an kôm, “Ku thurchi nanâk misîr khom ronga, ki misîr hih adik kêng. Keima chu kho renga mo ku juong le kho tieng mo ke se rang khom ki riet. Nangni chu kho renga mo ku juong aninônchu, kho tieng mo ke se rang riet mak chei.
Jesus answered them, "Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you do not know where I came from, or where I am going.
15 Nangnin chu taksa balam angtakin roi nin tan ngâia; keiman chu tu roi te tan ngâi mu-ung.
You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16 Ke lei tanna khom om senla, ko roi tanna chu dik atih; asikchu ke theivaia om ni mu unga; Pa mi tîrpu ko kôm a om sikin.
Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17 Nin Balam lekhabua khom rietpuipu inik an inruola, imo an ti tak chu adik, tiin miziekin aom ani.
It's also written in your Law that the testimony of two people is valid.
18 Keiman ku thurchi nanâk ki misîra, male Pa mi tîrpu khomin ku thurchi a misîr sa ngâi,” a tia.
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me."
19 Anni ngei han, “Khomo na Pa?” tiin ama an rekela., “Nangnin mi riet mak choia, ka Pa khom riet uol mak chei. Mi nin riet nisenla chu ka Pa khom riet nin ti zoi,” tiin Jisua'n a thuon ngeia.
They said therefore to him, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
20 Jisua'n hi ngei murdi hih Biekina chôiruol dôngna an darna mun khâltan sûnga a minchu lâia a ti ani. Tutên ama hah sûr mak ngei azora ala tung loi sikin.
Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21 Jisua'n an kôm, “Ke sepat rang kêng ani zoi; nangnin mi rok nin ta chu, nin sietnangei han thîng nin tih. Ke sena ranga se thei no tunui,” a tia.
Jesus said therefore again to them, "I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you cannot come."
22 Masikin Juda rachamneipungeiin, “Ke sena ranga se thei no tunui a ti hih amananâkin inthat rang a tina mini?” an tia.
The Jewish leaders therefore said, "Will he kill himself, that he says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come?'"
23 Jisua'n a thuon ngeia, “Nangni chu hi rammuola mi nin ni. Kei chu chung tieng renga juong ki ni. Nangni chu hi rammuol renga nin ni, hannirese kei chu hi rammuol renga ni mu-ung.
He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24 Masika han nin sietnangei han thîng nin tih, tiin nangni ki ril ani. Male ‘Keima hih tumo Ki ni’ mi nin iem nônchu nin sietnangei han thi lelê nin tih,” a tia.
I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."
25 Anni ngei han, “Tumo ni ni?” tiin an rekela. Jisua'n, “Aphut renga nangni ki ril ani.
They said therefore to him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, "Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26 Nin chungroia hin misîr rang tamtak, nangni demna rang tamtak ko dôn. I-ih khomnirese, mi tîrpu chu mi diktak ani, ama renga ki riet kai ke rammuola ki ril ngâi ani.”
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world."
27 Jisua'n an kôm, Pa chungroi kêng a misîr ani ti riet thei mak ngeia.
They did not understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28 Masikin an kôm, “Miriem Nâipasal hih nin makhâi tika ‘Ama hah Keima ki ni’; ti le keima ka rachamin ite tho mu unga, Pa'n mi minchu kai ke ki misîr ani tiin riet sa nin tih.
Jesus therefore said to them, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I say these things.
29 Male mi tîrpu chu ko kôm a oma; ke thenin mi mâkrak maka, a lungdo ki sin bang ngâi sikin,” a tia.
He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn't left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."
30 Jisua'n thurchi a misîr ngei hah mi tamtakin an rieta, ama an iem zoi.
As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31 Masikin Jisua'n ama iem Judangei kôm han, “Ki minchuna nin jômin chu ku ruoisi diktak ngei nin ni rang;
Jesus therefore said to those Judeans who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32 chongtak riet nin ta, chongtak han nangni mojôk atih,” a tia.
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
33 Anni ngei han, “Abraham richisuonpârngei kêng kin ni, tute suoka la om mak me. ‘Suok renga nangni mojôk atih,’ ni ti hih khoi tina mini?” tiin an thuona.
They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free?'"
34 Jisua'n an kôm, “Chongdiktak nangni ki ril: tukhom nunsie tho chu nunsie suok ani.
Jesus answered them, "Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.
35 Suok chu insûngmi ni tit ngâi mak, aniatachu Nâipasal chu kumtuongin a om ngâi. (aiōn )
A slave does not live in the house forever. A son remains forever. (aiōn )
36 Nâipasalin suok nangni a mojôk vaiin kêng nin jôk tatak rang.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
37 Abraham richisuonpârngei nin ni ti ki riet. Hannoma nangnin ma that rangin nin pût ani, ki minchuna chong nin pom loi sikin.
I know that you are Abraham's descendants, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38 Keiman ki misîr hih ka Pa mi min mu ani, nangni khom nin pa ngei nangni an ril anghan nin misîr ngâi.”
I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have heard from your father."
39 Anni ngei han, “Kin pa chu Abraham ani,” tiin an thuona. Jisua'n an kôm, “Abraham nâi diktak ngei nin ni nisenla chu a lei tho ngâi anghan nin tho rang ani,” tiin chong a mele ngeia.
They answered him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40 “Ki sin lei tho ngei murdi chu Pathien renga chongdik ki riet ngei nangni ril hih ani, aniatachu atûn hin ma that rangin nin pût chien ani. Abraham'n chu ma anghin tho ngâi mak!
But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
41 Nangni chu nin pa ngei lei tho ngâi anghan nin tho ani,” a tia. Anni ngei han, “Pathien vai kêng kin Pa dôn chu, keini hih a nâi diktak ngei kin ni,” tiin an thuona.
You do the works of your father." They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God."
42 Jisua'n an kôm, “Pathien nin Pa ani tatakin chu, mi nin lungkham rang ania; Pathien renga juong ki ni sikin atûn hin nin lâia ko om ani. Keima rachama juong ni mu unga, ama tîr kêng ki ni, a tipe ngeia.
Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I have not come of myself, but he sent me.
43 Ithomo ki misîr hih nin riet thei tet loi? Ku thurchi misîr hih nin mulungrîla nin mindon loi sika ani.
Why do you not understand my speech? Because you cannot hear my word.
44 Nin pa Diabol nâingei nin ni, male nin pa lungdo jûi nin nuom ani. Ama chu aphut renga mi that ngâi ani, male chongdik tieng khom inchel ngâi mak, dikna reng a dôn loi sikin. Milak a tho tikin ama lungdoa a tho ani ngâi, milakpa ani sikin, milak ngei murdi pa khom ani sa.
You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
45 Hannirese keima chu chongtak kêng ki misîr ngâi, masika han nin iem ngâi loi ani.
But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.
46 Nin lâia tumo sietna tienga theiloi mi min chang thei rang? Chongtak ki misîr khomin ithomo nin iem loi?
Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47 Tukhom Pathien renga juong chu Pathien chong a pom ngâia. Nikhomrese nangni chu Pathien renga nin ni loi sikin, a chong khom nin rangâi loi ani.”
He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you do not hear, because you are not of God."
48 Anni ngei han a kôm, “Nangma hih Samari mi male ramkhori no dôn kin ti hah dik mak mo?” tiin an rekela.
Then the Judeans answered him, "Do not we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?"
49 Jisua'n an kôm, “Ramkhori dôn mu-ung. Ka Pa ki mirita, aniatachu, nangnin mi nin êsêl ani hi.
Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
50 Keima rang nanâk miritna rok ni mu unga. Aniatachu, a rokpu le ku ruthûla a jêkpu mi inkhat a om kêng.
But I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
51 Chongtak nangni ki ril ani: tukhom ko chong jômpu chu thi tet no nih.” (aiōn )
Truly, truly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death." (aiōn )
52 Anni ngei han a kôm, “Ramkhori no dôn khet tiin kin riet minthâr zoi! Abraham a thi zoia, dêipungei khom an thi suozoi, hannoma nangman chu ‘Ko chong jômpu chu thi tet no ni,’ ni tia, an tipe. (aiōn )
Then the Judeans said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste of death.' (aiōn )
53 Kin Pa Abraham nêkin ni lien uol mo? Ama khom a thi zoi; dêipungei khom an thi suozoi. A tutak hamo ani angin nên bê?” an tia.
Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?"
54 Jisua'n an kôm, “Keima nanâkin miritna a rok ninlang, ha miritna hah chu ite ni no ni. Kin Pathien nin ti, ka Pa hah mirita mi min ompu chu ani, tiin a thuona.
Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say 'He is our God.'
55 Nangnin chu ama hah riet tet mak chei, keiman chu ki riet ani. Ama riet mu-ung ki tiin chu nangni angin milak ki ni rang ani. Hannirese, ama ki rieta a chong khom ko jôm ngâi.
You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, 'I do not know him,' I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.
56 Nin pa Abraham'n ku juong a mu rang sikin a râiasân oka, ma anghan a mu tataka, a râiasân sabak ani.”
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad."
57 Anni ngei han a kôm, “Kum sômrangnga luo la kâi mak che ngah, Abraham nu mu na?” an tia.
The Judeans therefore said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"
58 Jisua'n an kôm, “Chongdik kêng nangni ki ril,” tiin a thuon ngeia, “Abraham ân zir mân khom, ‘Keima’ chu ko om zoi.”
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."
59 Hanchu a dêngna rang lung an rûta, hannirese Jisua ân thupa, Biekin renga a jôkpai zoi.
Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was concealed, and went out of the temple.
