< John 14 >
1 Jisua'n, “Nin kângmindoi no ungla male nin jâminzal no roi, Pathien iem roi male kei khom mi iem sa roi.
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.
2 Ka Pa ina omna khâltan tamtak aom, ninta rangin mun sin ke se rang ani. Om no senla chu nangni ki ril loi rang ani.
In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you,
and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may also be.
4 Ke sena rang lampui khom nin riet.”
You know where I go, and you know the way.”
5 Thomas'n a kôm, “Pumapa, ne sena rang riet mak me; masikin kho angin mo mataka sena rang lampui ha kin riet ranga?” a tia.
Thomas asked Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jisua'n a thuona, “Keima hi lampui, chongtak le ringna ki ni; keima taka se loi chu tute Pa kôm tung ngâi mak ngei.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7 Atûn chu mi nin riet zoi,” a tipe ngeia, “Ka Pa khom nin riet sa rang ani zoi, male atûn renga chu ama nin riet zoia male mu khom nin mu sa zoi ani.”
If you had known me, you would have known my Father too. From now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip'n a kôm, “Pumapa, Pa hah keini mi min mu ta; kinta rangin chu hun atih,” a tia.
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that would be enough for us.”
9 Jisua'n a thuona, “Philip, hi dôr sôt hih nin kôm ko oma; hannoma mi la riet mak che mo? Tukhom mi mu chu Pa a mu ani. Hanchu, ithomo, ‘Pa hah keini mi min mu ta ni tia’?
Jesus answered, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you haven’t known me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father, so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Jisua'n a ruoisingei kôm a tipe ngeia.
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you aren’t my own, but from the Father who lives in me. He does the works.
Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves.
12 Chongdiktak nangni ki ril: tukhom mi iem ngei chu ki sintho anghin la sin an tih; ani, hima nêka neinun roiinpui uol ngei khom la sin an tih, Pa kôm ke se rang ani sikin.
“Most assuredly, I tell you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and even greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
13 Male khokhoi khom ki riminga nin zong kai chu sin ki tih, Nâipasal sika Pa roiinpuina ânlang theina rangin.
I will do whatever you ask in my name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15 Nangnin mi nin lungkhamin chu ko chongpêkngei jôm nin tih.
If you sincerely love me, you will keep my commandments.
16 Pa kôm zong ka ta, ama'n Sanpu dang nangni pêk atih; tuonsôta nin kôma om rangin. (aiōn )
I will then ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever — (aiōn )
17 Ama ha Ratha diktak, Pathien chongtak minlang ngâipu ani. Rammuolin chu modôm thei maka, ama an mu thei loi sik le an riet thei loi sikin. Aniatachu nangni ngeiin chu nin riet, nin kôm a om bang sik le nangnia aom bang ngâi sikin.
the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, though, because He lives with you and will be in you.
18 “Ke se khomin nin theivaiin nangni mâk no ninga; nin kôm juong kîr nôk ki tih.
I won’t leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19 Chomolte suole chu rammuolin mi mu khâi no ni; hannirese nangnin chu mi mu nin ta, keima ki ring sikin nangni khom ring sa nin tih.
After a little while the world won’t see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will also live.
20 Ma nikhuo hah ahong tungin chu, nangni nin kôm ko om anghan keima ka Pa kôm ko oma, nangni ko kôm nin om tiin riet nin tih zoi.
In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 “Tukhom ko chongpêkngei a poma jôm chu mi lungkham ani. Tukhom mi lungkham kai chu ka Pa khomin lungkham atih; kei khomin lungkham ngei ka ta, an kôm inlâr bang ngâi ki tih,” a tia.
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, sincerely loves me. Whoever sincerely loves me will be sincerely loved by my Father, and I’ll sincerely love them and reveal myself to them.”
22 Judas (Judas Iscariot niloi) han a kôm, “Pumapa, kin kôm chu inlâr na ta, ithomo rammuol kôm chu nên lâr loi rang?” a tia.
Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jisua'n a kôm, “Tukhom mi lungkham ngeiin chu ki minchuna jôm an tih. Ka Pa khomin lungkham ngei a ta, male ka Pa leh an kôm juong kin ta, an kôm om kin tih.
Jesus answered him, “If anyone sincerely loves me, that person will keep my words; and my Father will sincerely love that person, and we will come and make our home with that person.
Whoever doesn’t sincerely love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 “Nin kôm ka la om lâihin hi chong hih nangni ki tipe ani.
“I’ve told you these things while living with you,
26 Sanpu, Ratha Inthieng, Pa'n ki riminga a juongtîr rang han neinunngei murdi nangni minchu a ta, male nangni ki misîr pe sai ngei murdi hah riettit rangin nangni sin a tih.”
but the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and bring to your remembrance all that I told you.
27 “Nangni ka mâkpe chu Rathânngamna hi ania; keima rathânngamna kêng nangni ke pêk ani. Rammuolin a pêk anghan chu nangni pêk mu-ung. Nin kângmindoi no ungla, male nin jâmminzal no roi; chi khom chi no roi.
I leave peace with you. I give you my peace. I don’t give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 ‘Nangni mâksan rang ki ni, ti nin rieta, aniatachu nin kôm juong kîr nôk ki tih,’ mi nin lungkhama anîn chu Pa kôm ke se hih nin râisân atih; ama chu keima nêkin a roiinpui uol sikin.
You have heard me tell you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you sincerely loved me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for my Father is greater than I.
29 Hi chong hih ahongtung mân nangni ke lei ril ani, ahongtung tika nin iem theina rangin.
Now I have told you before it happens, that when it does happen, you may believe.
30 Zora sôt chu nangni chongpui thei khâi no ning, hi rammuola roijêkpu hih a hong zoi sikin. Ku chunga racham dôn maka,
I won’t talk much longer with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me,
31 hannirese Pa ku lungkham ti hih rammuolin a riet ngêt anâng ani; masikin ama chongpêkngei anghan neinuntin ki sin ngâi.” “Hong roi, hi mun renga hin jôk ta rei u.”
but the world must learn that I sincerely love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come on. Let’s go.
