< Hebrew 9 >
1 Chonginkhit masa khom chubaimûkna balamngei le miriem sin chubaimûkna mun a lei dôn ani.
Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.
2 Puon-in an sina, khâltan pêninta hah Mun Inthieng an tia. Ma sûnga han meiserdarna le dosâng leh Pathiena an pêksai vâipôlngei hah an oma.
A tabernacle was prepared. In its first room were the lampstand, the table, and the consecrated bread. This was called the Holy Place.
3 Puondûng inikna nûktieng han Mun Inthiengtak an ti hah aom.
Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
4 Asûnga han mirimhoi hâlna mun rângkachak mâichâm le rângkachaka minluon Chonginkhit sumduk a oma, Ma sûnga han “Manna” omna rângkachak sungkola ngei, Aaron sunrol abuo hôn cher ngei le chongpêkngei a chunga ânziek lungpêk inik ngei hah an om.
containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
5 Ma sumduk chunga han Pathien roiinpuina minlangin iringparân mantha dôn ngei hah sietnangei ngâidamna muna an mantha pharin an om sa. Aniatachu, atûn chu ma thurchi ha chu akip akôiin rilsensâi zora la ni mak.
Above the ark were the cherubim of glory, overshadowing the mercy seat. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 Ha neinunngei hah hi anghin an lei minsûk ani. Ochai ngei hah anîngtin apêninta puon-in sûng han an sintum sin rangin an se ngâia,
When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
7 aniatachu asûnginta Puon-in han chu Ochai Inlaltak vai kêng akuma voikhat thisen chôi ngêtin a lût ngâi. Ma thisen a chôi hah ama rang le mipui ngeiin an riet loi kâra sietna an sinngei ruthûlin Pathien kôm an pêk ngâi.
But only the high priest entered the second room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
8 Hi minsûkna ngei murdi renga hin Ratha Inthiengin ânthârtakin a minchu ngâia; apêninta Puon-in hah a la omsûng kâr chu Mun Inthiengtak lampui hah lân ong mak.
By this arrangement the Holy Spirit was showing that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 Maha atûnlâi mintêkna ani. Aomtie chu neinunpêkngei le sa inbôlnangei Pathien kôma pêk han a biekpu ngei mulungrîl min chukphar thei maka,
It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper.
10 sâk rang, nêk rang le minthieng-minthârna balam tamtak roi ngei vai ani sikin. Mangei murdi hah pêntienga balam korong an nia, Pathien'n chongpêk athar a pêk mâka mang rang ani.
They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform.
11 Aniatachu Khrista chu neinun sa ngei hi taka lei omsai piel Ochai Inlaltakin a juong ani. Puon-ina sin a thona ngâi ha a roiinpui uol le achukphara; miriem sin puon-in nimak, ma hih rammuola sinngei lâia nimak tina ani.
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation.
12 Khrista hah Mun Inthiengtaka voikhatin a lûtpat lâihan, inbôlna rangin kêlngei le sielngei thisen chôi maka, ama thisen nanâk chôiin eita rangin kumtuong sanminringna a man zoi ani. (aiōnios )
He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption. (aiōnios )
13 Kêlngei le sechalngei le setuoi ngei hâlminvâmin mi innim chunga an rethe luon an taksa innimna a minsâi pe ngei theia a minthieng thei ngeiin te,
For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean,
14 Khrista thisen vangin te athei uol ok rang na! Kumtuong Ratha ruoinân Pathien kôm ama nanâkin inbôlna achukpharin ânpêk zoi sikin, Pathien ring sin ei tho theina rangin a thisenin thina mintung ngâi ngei sin renga ei sielesarietna minthieng a tih. (aiōnios )
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God! (aiōnios )
15 Hi sika hin Khrista hih chonginkhit athar minsûkpu ani, Pathien'n a koi ngei hah kumtuong satvurna ânkhâm an man theina ranga ani. Maha anitheina chu chonginkhit masa a la om sûnga miriemngei minchâina renga kelsuoa, thina a lei omsai sikin ani. (aiōnios )
Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. (aiōnios )
16 Chongmâk roi chu a mâkpu hah athi le thiloi enmindik bak anâng,
In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
17 chongmâkpu a la ringsûngin chu ite amangna la om loiin a thi suonûkin kêng amangna a la om ngâi.
because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
18 Ma sika han chonginkhit masa khom hah thisen an mang tena kêng mang a la chang ani.
That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
19 Amotona Moses'n Balam Chongpêkngei hah mipui ngei kôm a phuong baka. Masuole chu sechalngei le kêlngei thisen hah tui leh minpolin, hyssop machang le samul sen mangin Balam Lekhabu le mipui ngei murdi hah a thika.
For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
20 An kôm, “Mahi Pathien'n nin jôm ranga nangni a pêk Chonginkhit nammindetpu thisen hah ani” a tia.
saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
21 Ma angdên han Moses'n Puon-in Inthieng le biekna mangruongei murdi khom hah thisen a thik sa.
In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship.
22 Adiktakin, Balam dungjûiin neinunngei murdi hih thisenin a minthieng thei leta, male sietnangei chu thisen suok vaiin kêng ngâidam ani thei.
According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 Ma neinunngei, invâna a taktaka a om rimilngei hah ma anghan minthieng an ni rang ani. Aniatachu invâna neinunngei ha chu inbôlna sa uol ok an nâng ani.
So it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 Asikchu Khrista chu miriem sin Mun Inthieng atak rimila han lût mak. Atûna Pathien makunga ei ruthûla ân dingna invân khin a lût kelen ani.
For Christ did not enter a man-made copy of the true sanctuary, but He entered heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf in the presence of God.
25 Juda Ochai Inlaltak han sa thisen chôiin Mun Inthiengtak han kumtin a se ngâia. Aniatachu Khrista chu ama nanâk inpêk rangin voi tamtak lût maka,
Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 ma anghan nino senla chu rammuol sinphut renga voi tamtak a tuong rang ani zoi. Manêkin, atûn zora mong rangtoa hin ânbôlna sika sietna a minhek theina rangin voikhatin a juon lang ani. (aiōn )
Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. (aiōn )
27 Mitin voikhat chu thi ngêt an ta, masuole Pathien'n an chungroi jêkin om an tih.
Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment,
28 Ma angdên han Khrista khom ha mi tamtakngei sietna min hek rangin voikhat inbôlnân pêk ani zoi. Sietna min hek rang ni khâi loiin ama lei ngakngei sanminring rangin avoi niknân juon lang nôk atih.
so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.
