< Hebrew 4 >

1 Atûn hin Pathien'n ha inngamna roi a misîrna hah ei man theina rangin chonginkhâm mi pêk ani. Masikin nin lâia tute ha inngamna lei khâmna taka lût theiloia nin om loina rangin indîn roi.
Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
2 Thurchi Sa chu an riet angtakin eini khomin ei riet. Chong chu an rieta, aniatachu an chong riet han ite satna manpui mak ngei, asikchu chong an riet lâi han taksônnân an pom loi sikin ani.
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard did not profit them, because they were not united by faith with those who heard.
3 Eini ama iem ngei chu, Pathien'n a chonginkhâm inngamna han ei lût bang ani. “Ka taksina sikin chonginkhâm inngartak ki sina: ‘Inngamna rang ram ke pêk ngeina han lût tet no ni ngei!’” a ti anghan. A sintho ngei hah rammuol a sinphut zora a zoisai nikhomrese ha chong hah a la ti ani.
For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 Pathien Lekhabu'n kho muna mini sûnsarini roi, hi anghin a ti: “Pathien'n sûnsarini chu a sintho murdi renga ânngam zoi.”
For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;"
5 Ma roi zom nanâk hah “Inngamna rang ram ke pêk ngeina han lût tet no ni ngei,” a ti nôk ani.
and in this place again, "They will not enter into my rest."
6 Thurchi Sa lei riet masa ngei han iem loina sika an lût thei khâiloi sikin midang ngei la lût rangin phalna a la om ani.
Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,
7 Ma anghan, Pathien'n “Aviensûn” tiin nikhuo dang ânkhâm nôk ani. Kum tamtak suonûkin David mangin motona a lei rilsai: “Aviensûn Pathien rôl nin rietin chu, nin mulung minngar khâi no roi,” ti hah a ti nôka.
he again appoints a certain day, "Today," saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
8 Joshua'n mipui ngei hah Pathien chonginkhâm inngamna hah a lei pêk ngei thei nisenla chu, Pathien'n nûka han nikhuo dang roi misîr khâi no nih.
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
9 Ma angdên han, Pathien mingei ta rangin chu sûn sarinia Pathien'n a sintho renga ânngam anghan inngamna hah a la om tit ani.
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 Tukhom Pathien chonginkhâm inngamna taka lût chu Pathien'n a sintho renga ânngam anghan ama khom a sintho renga inngamna man a tih.
For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
11 Tho, masikin anni ngei angin taksôn loina sika chukloia om loiin inngamna hah ei chang theina rangin ranak song ei tih u.
Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
12 Pathien chong chu aringa, sin a tho theia, khandai beniknei ngaidak nêkin khom angai uol ani. Ringna le ratha inchunna ngei, rolo le rithingngei dênin a sunkhoi theia. Miriem mulungrîla ôina le mindona khom a riet let ngâi ani.
For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Pathien renga chu neinun ite ânthup thei ommak; neinunsin ngei murdi khom a mitmua chu ânlârphangin an ong-iem ani. Male ama kôm han ei sika ei thurchi chit ei la misîr let ngêt rang ani.
There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Pathien omna lele invâna lei sesai, Ochai Inlal roiinpuitak Jisua, Pathien Nâipasal hah ei dôn sikin ei taksônna hi sûr mindet tit ei ti u.
Having then a great cohen hagadol, who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.
15 Ochai Inlaltak ei dôn hih ei râtloina mi rietpui phâkloi ni maka, eini anghan lam tina huongna tong sai ani, aniatachu, sietna chu tho loi mi ei dôn ani.
For we do not have a cohen hagadol who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
16 Tho, masika han lungkhamna jâra moroina le sanna ei nâng tika ei man theina rangin Pathien moroina rêngsukmun hah hâitakin pan ei ti u.
Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
