< Hebrew 3 >
1 Ki khristien sûngsuokngei, Pathien'n a koi ngei! Ei taksônna lama Ochai Inlaltak ni ranga Pathien'n a tîr Jisua hah mindon roi.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Pathien insûngmingei lâia Moses taksôn oma a om anghan ama khom hi sin tho ranga a thangpu Pathien kôm taksôn a om ani.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.
3 In sinpu'n a in sin nêkin miritna achang uol anghan Jisua hih Moses nêkin roiinpuina achang uol ok rangin ânhoi ani.
For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 In tiin hi tu sin mini chu ani ngêta, male neinun murdi chu Pathien sin ani.
For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God.
5 Pathien insûngmingei lâia suok chu Moses hah taksôn omtak ania, Pathien'n sûnmotona la ti rang ngei hah a lei misîr ani.
And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 Aniatachu Khrista rêk chu Pathien insûngmingei chunga taksônom le donsûipu Nâipasal ani. Ei hâina sûr mindetin ei sabeina hin ei minngam titin chu a insûngmingei chu eini ngei hih ei ni.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7 Masika han Ratha Inthiengin “Aviensûn Pathien rôl nin rietin chu,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 nin richibulngei ramchâra Pathien an minsin lâia, ama doia an inhel anghan nin mulung minngar khâi no roi.
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 Pathien'n, ramchâra han nin richibul ngeiin mi minsin rangin an pûta, kum sômminli sûnga ki sintho an mu suonûk khomin, a ti.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Masikin ha mingei chunga han ka takasia, ‘Khotiklâi khomin iemomin om ngâi mak ngeia, male Ko chongpêkngei khom jôm ngâi mak ngei.’
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 Ka taksi sikin chonginkhâm ngartak ki sina: Ki minngam ngeina rang rama han lût tet noni ngei!” ki tia a ti anghan.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Ki iempu champui ngei, Pathien ring hah nûksong rangin nin lâia tutên iemloina mulungrîl saloi nin dôn loina rangin indîn roi.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 Manêkin, nin lâia tute sietna methêmna sika mulung ngarin nin om loina rangin Pathien Lekhabun “Aviensûn” ti mi mang pe kâr chu anîngtin inkhat le inkhat insan inlôm tit roi.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Ei iem phutna ngamna hah among dênin ei sûr mindet ngânin chu Khrista leh munkhata changsa rang ngei ei ni zoi.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 Ma hih Pathien Lekhabu'n ati: “Aviensûn Pathien rôl nin rietin chu, nin richibulngeiin Pathien doia an inhel lâia anghan, nin mulung minngar khâi no roi.”
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 Tu miriemngei mo Pathien rôl riet suonûka ânhelngei hah? Egypt ram renga Moses'n a ruoi suok ngei hah an ni.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Tu ngei chunga mo Pathien'n kum sômminli sûnga a taksi hah? Sietna sina ramchâra athia ânlet ngei chunga han ani.
But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 Tu ngei mo Pathien'n chonginkhâm ngartak dônin, “Ki minngam ngeina rang rama han lût tet noni ngei,” a ti hah? Ânhelngei murdi hah an ni.
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 Ma anghan, an iemloi sikin ma rama han lût thei mak ngei tiin ei mu ani.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
