< Galatia 3 >

1 O, Galatia rama mi mo ngei, tumo nangni dôi? Nin mitmu ngêta Jisua Khrista hah khrosa jêmdel ani tie ânthârtaka ânlang anga han.
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 Ma inkhat hih mi ril ta u; Balamin ai nâng ngei sintho sikin mo Pathien Ratha hah nin man, Thurchisa nin rangâia nin rieta nin iem sikin mo?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Inmo madôrpa nin moh theia, Pathien Ratha leh nin phut hah atûn nin theia rachamin min mong rang nin nuom mo ani?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4 Ma angdôra nin tuongna hah môk tutuong mo ani rang? nitet noni!
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.
5 Hanchu Pathien Ratha nangni a pêka, nin lâia sininkhêl ai tho hah Balamin anâng ngei nin sin sika mo, Thurchisa nin rieta nin iem sika mo?
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6 Abraham'n a leirietna hah mindon roh, Pathien lekhabu'n ai ti anghan Abraham'n Pathien a iema, ha a taksônna hah a diknân ipompe ani.
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Masikhan a taksôn mingei nâm chu Abraham richi diktak an ni, ti riet roi.
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 Pathien lekhabu han aphuonga, Pathien'n an taksônna sikin Jentailngei dik a minchang rang ani. Hanchu Thurchi Sa han Abraham kôma, “Nangma renga hah miriem murdi satvur a tih,” tiin a lei ril suo zoi ani.
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 Abraham'n Pathien a iema, satvura a om anghan, a iem ngei murdi chu satvurin an om.
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10 Balam jôm vaia inngam ngei chu khomâksâmna nuoia an oma, Pathien lekhabu'n, “Balambua ânziek murdi jôm tit loi kai chu Pathien khomâksâmna nuoia an om ani,” ati.
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 Masikin, balam jômin Pathien makunga tute dik intum mak ngei, ti hih ânthâr zoi; Pathien lekhabu'n, “taksôn sika Pathien makunga dik intum ngei vai ring an tih,” ati sikin.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 Aniatachu, Balam leh taksônna chu ân manna om maka, manêkin, “Tukhomin Balamin ai ti murdi thopu chu ring an tih,” ati ani.
And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Aniatachu, Khrista hah ei ruthûla khomâksâm lei nîn, balam khomâksâm renga mi khôk zoi ani; Pathien lekhabu'n, “Tukhom thinga makhâi chu Pathien khomâksâm chang ani” ati.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 Khrista'n ma-ngei murdi a tuongna chu Abraham chunga Pathien satvurna hah Khrista Jisua jâra Jentailngei chunga a hong om theina rang le taksônna sika Ratha inkhâm hah ei chang theina ranga ani.
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Ka malngei, nîngtina nin riet ngâi neinun enminkhinân ka mang rang ani hi; mi inikin an chonginkhâma inruol senla ngei, pominruolna chong nei senla ngei; ha an chong hah tutên set thei noni ngei, bôk khom bôk thei noni ngei.
Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man’s covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Atûn Pathien chonginkhâm ngei hah Abraham le a richisuonpârngei kôma a pêka, Pathien lekhabu'n mi tamtak chungroi a misîr loi anghan “Richisuonpârngei,” ti maka, mi inkhat vai rilna anghan “Jâisuon” ai ti ani, ama hah Khrista ani.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 Imo ki tina tak chu, chonginkhâm Pathien'n Abraham kôma, a lei phun mindetsa hah, kum razaminli kum sômthum suoleh balam hong oma han Pathien chonginkhâm hah mangmunboi achang loina rangin thonpai uol mak.
And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 Asikchu Pathien neinunpêk hah Balama ânngam rang anînchu, chonginkhâm sika ni khâi nonih; aniatachu, Pathien'n chonginkhâm sika kêng, Abraham kôm neinunpêk ai pêk.
For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.
19 Ma anghan ni senla, balam hi itho sika mo pêk ai ni? Pathien'n chonginkhâm a pêkna Abraham jâisuon hah a hong om mâka minchâina ânlang theina rangin Balam hah ipêk ani. Ma Balam hah vântîrtonngei leh palâi imanga a mingei kôm juong mintung ani.
Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Aniatachu chonginkhâm a pêk lâihan palâi nâng loiin mi inkhat vai ân chela; male Pathien chu inkhat ani.
Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.
21 Ma anghan nisenla, Pathien chonginkhâm hih balam hin ânkal mo? Inkal mak! Miriemngei'n ring theina rang balam an lei man nisenla chu, mitinin ha balam hah jômin Pathien kôm dik inchangin an om rang ani zoi.
[Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 Ania, Pathien lekhabua han, rammuol pumpui hih nunsie nuoia a om a ti; masikin Jisua Khrista taksônna sika manboipêk inkhâm hah a iem ngei kôm han pêk ani.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 Ania, Taksônna ahong om mân, taksônna ajuong inlâr mâka han chu, ha balam han mi intâng ina om anghan mi khitphier ani.
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Maleh taksônna sika Pathien kôma dik ei chang theina rangin balam hah Khrista juong mâka han chu eini ni lei enkolpu ani.
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Atûn chu taksônna a om zoi sikin balamin ni kairuoi khâi mak.
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 Taksônna sikin kêng nin rêngin Khrista Jisua leh inzomin Pathien nâingei nin ni.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 Khrista leh inzomin baptis nin chang zoia, atûnchu Khrista ringnân nin invoa, ama leh nin chonga, Khrista ringna han inzomkhôm nin ni zoi.
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 Masikin Juda le jentail khom tei uolna reng ommak, suok le suok niloi khom pasal le nupang khom, Khrista Jisua leh inzomin nin rêngin inkhat nin ni.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 Hanchu, Khrista mi nin nînchu Abraham richi ngei nin ni zoi; Pathien'n ânkhâmna hah nin man rang ani.
And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
