< Ephesi 5 >
1 Pathien nâi moroitakngei nin ni sikin ama phuo rangin nin pût ngêt rang ani.
Be ye therefore followers of God, as most dear children;
2 Khrista'n mi lungkhama, eini rangin a ringna a pêka, inbôlna neinunpêk anga mirimhoi Pathien'n a râisân anghan, nin ringna hah lungkhamnân jêk ngêt rese.
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.
3 Pathien mingei nin ni zoi sikin, nin lâia inditnasaloi ngei, inthiengloina ngei aninônchu inruôkna ngei, nin bâia nin ril luo hih adikloi ani.
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not so much as be named among you, as becometh saints:
4 Bâingal ngei, chongkâmboi ngei, tusiem porinche ngei khom nin mang rangin inhoi mak; ha ngei ril nêkin Pathien kôm râisânchongril roi.
Or obscenity, or foolish talking, or scurrility, which is to no purpose; but rather giving of thanks.
5 Tutên hurindit song le inthiengloi le inruôkngei (inruôk hih mirmil biek ani) murdi'n, Khrista le Pathien Rêngrama rangtum man noni ngei ti nin riet minthâr sikin.
For know you this and understand, that no fornicator, or unclean, or covetous person (which is a serving of idols), hath inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Tutên chongkâmboi leh nangni huong no rese ngei; ma neinunngei sikin kêng Pathien taksina hah ama chongdonloipungei chunga ajuongtung rang ani.
Let no man deceive you with vain words. For because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief.
7 Masikin ma anga mingei lehan ite inzomkhômna dôn rangin tho no roi.
Be ye not therefore partakers with them.
8 Nangni nanâkin ijînga lei inmangin nin om ngâia, hannirese Pumapa mingei nin hongni zoia, masikin avâra om ngâi mingei anghan nin om ngêt rang,
For you were heretofore darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk then as children of the light.
9 satnangei, diknangei le chongtak jâttin mara tamtak musuok hih avâr chu ani.
For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth;
10 Pumapa râisânna ngâi hah imo ani riet rangin pût roi.
Proving what is well pleasing to God:
11 Mingei an sin ngâi kâmnângloi neinunngei hah ite tho no roi, ijîng ta neinunngei hah. Manêkin avârna hongtuong pai ngei roi.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 (Inrûka an tho ngâi neinunngei chungroi hih chu amisîr khom inzakpui aom sabak tatak ani.)
For the things that are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.
13 Male neinunngei murdi hi avâra hong tuongin aomin chu, an nina diktak hah ânthârin ânlang ngâia;
But all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light; for all that is made manifest is light.
14 i-ih neinun khom ânthârlaka inlanga omngei ngân chu avâr ani sikin. Ma sika han kêng, “Nangma a in meng inla, thina renga inthoi roh, hanchu, Khrista'n nu chunga juong êlminvâr atih,” a ti hah.
Wherefore he saith: Rise thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead: and Christ shall enlighten thee.
15 Masikin mi inmôlngei angin om loiin, mivârngei anga omin, nin om lama singthei roi.
See therefore, brethren, how you walk circumspectly: not as unwise,
16 Nikhuongei hih asa khâi loi sikin, zorânchum nin dôn ngei hah mang mindik ta roi.
But as wise: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Masikin moh no ungla, Pumapa'n nin sin ranga a nuomngei hah riet rangin pût ta roi.
Wherefore become not unwise, but understanding what is the will of God.
18 Ju inrûiin om no roi, nangni vai kêng nangni asiet rang; manêkin Ratha'n sip roi.
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is luxury; but be ye filled with the holy Spirit,
19 Lapuingei chongbâingei, minpâkna lângei, male la inthiengngei leh inrokôk ungla; minpâkna lângei lapuingei lehan nin mulungrîlngeia Pumapa kôm minpâkna lâtho roi.
Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord;
20 Neinunnâm chunga ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista rimingin, zoratin Pa Pathien kôm ngêt han râisânchongril roi.
Giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God and the Father:
21 Khrista taka nin inthieng sikin inkhat le inkhat inpêklût inlôm roi.
Being subject one to another, in the fear of Christ.
22 Lômnungei, Pumapa kôm nin inpêklût anghan nin lômpangei kôm inpêklût roi.
Let women be subject to their husbands, as to the Lord:
23 Khrista chu ama takpum, koiindang sanminringpu ania, koiindang chunga racham a nei anghan pasal khomin a lômnu chunga racham a nei ani.
Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. He is the saviour of his body.
24 Koiindangin Khrista chunga ânpêklût anghan lômnungei khomin an lômpangei chunga an inpêkrip rang ani.
Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so also let the wives be to their husbands in all things.
25 Lômpangei, nin lômnungei lungkham roi. Khrista'n koiindang a lungkham sikin a ringna a pêk anghan.
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it:
26 Koiindang hah tuia rusûk minsâia, ama chong sika han Pathien kôm a pêk theina ranga maha a tho ani.
That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life:
27 Innimna koploi, demnaboi, minchâinaboi, kôknaboi le jûrnaboi le chukloina reng omloia, ama kôm nanâka koiindang hah a pêk theina rangin.
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any; such thing; but that it should be holy, and without blemish.
28 Ma anghan, pasalngei khomin an takpum angtakin an lômnungei an lungkham ngêt rang ani. A lômnu lungkham kai chu ama ânlungkham ani.
So also ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife, loveth himself.
29 (Tutên ama takpum heng ngâi mak, a vâiin a donsûi ngâi; Khrista'n koiindang a donsûia a vâi ngâi anghan,
For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, as also Christ doth the church:
30 a takpum abâkngei eini sikin)
Because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 Pathien lekhabu'n, “Masikin pasalin a nû le a pa mâk a ta, a lômnu leh inpumkhat an ta, inik hah inkhat chang an tih,” ati anghan.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be two in one flesh.
32 Ma Pathien Lekhabua han chongtak inthup inthûk minlanga om aom, maha keiman chu Khrista leh a koiindang a misîrnân ki rietthei.
This is a great sacrament; but I speak in Christ and in the church.
33 Aniatachu nangni tieng khom mang thei ania; pasal nâmin anni angin, an lômnungei an lungkham rang ani, lômnungei nâm khomin an pasalngei mirit an tho rang ani.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular love his wife as himself: and let the wife fear her husband.
