And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 Hi ngei hih nin iem lam angin inrûi mak ngei, atûn hin jîng dâr kuo vaikêng ala ni.
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
16 Hi roi hih Dêipu Joel'n a lei ril hah ani.
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 ‘Pathien'n sûn nûka chu hi anghin la tho ki tih; mi murdi chunga ka Ratha la bun ka ta nin nâipasal le nin nâinupangngeiin ko chong la misîr an ta; nin ruotharte ngeiin inlârna mûng an ta, male nin tarngeiin ramangin phan an tih.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 Ani, ma nikhuo ngeia hanchu ki tîrlâmngei nupangngei, pasalngei chunga ka Ratha bun ka ta ko chong la misîr an tih.
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 Hanchu, tukhomin Pumapa riming ralam murdi chu sanminringin om an tih.’
And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Jisua hah Pathien jêklam le mintuo lam angtakin an sûra, nangnin mi nunsie ngei kuta bângin khrosa jêmdelin nin thata.
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Aniatachu Pathien'n thina sinthotheina renga mojôkin, ama hah thinân asûr chien thei loi sikin a kaithoi zoi.
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 David reng khomin a chungroi hi anghin a rila, ‘Ka makunga Pumapa ku mu tit ngâia; kên nîk loina rangin ka changtieng aom tita.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Masikin râisânnân ki sipa, ko chong khom râisâna asip. ka taksa khomin a sabei ngit ani, ka sabeina khom râisânnân asipa.
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Masikin ka ratha hi mithi khuoa mâksan no ti nia, Ni mi inthieng ruok mon rang phal no ti ni. (Hadēs g86)
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
28 Nangman ringna lampuingei mi ni min mua; male mi ni ompui sikin râisânnân sip ki tih zoi.’
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 “Ka champuingei, ei richibul Rêng David roi hah hâitakin nangni ki ril. Ama hah a thi zoia, male an phûma, a thân khom atûnten ei kôla ala om tit.
Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Ama hah Dêipu ania, a ruthûl rangin tumakhat Pathien'n David richisuonpârngei lâia rêngin la phun rangin ânkhâm ngit ti a rieta.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 Pathien'n sûnmotona sin a tho rang tie David'n a lei riet piel sikin Khrista inthoinôk rang chong misîrin, ‘Ama hah mithi khuoa mâkrakin om maka; a ruok khom thâna mon mak,’ ai ti ani. (Hadēs g86)
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 Hima Jisua hih Pathien'n thina renga a kaithoinôk zoi ti chong hih keini reng hi rietpuipungei kin ni.

33 Pathien changtieng chôiminsâng ani zoia, a Pa kôm renga Ratha Inthieng leikhâm hah a changa, atûna nin mu le nin riet hi ei chunga ajuong vur ani hih.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 David hah ama lelên invâna kal maka, ‘Pumapa han ku Pumapa kôm: ka changtieng insung tit roh.
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Keima'n na râlngei murdi ne kepha sirna nuoia ka dar mâka a ti, a tina kêng ani.’
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 “Hanchu, Jisua nin jêmdelpu hah Pathien'n Pumapa le Khrista aminchang ngêt tih Israel mi murdi riet ngêt rese ngei a tia.”
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 An chong riet han an mulungrîl atôka, Peter le tîrton dangngei kôm han, “Lâibungngei, imo kin tho rang ani zoi?” an tia.
Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?
38 Peter'n an kôm, “Nin sietnangei ngâidam anina rangin insîr ungla, Jisua Khrista rimingin Baptis chang pak roi, hanchu, Pathien manboiapêk Ratha Inthieng hih chang nin tih.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 A khâm hih nangni le nin nâingei le ram lataka mi murdi ngei rang le Pumapa Pathien'n a kôma a koi ngei nâm ani,” a tia.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 Peter'n Chong dang tamtakin a ril minthâra; male atûnlâi ruolthar saloi ngei renga hih jôk roi, tiin a ngêna.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 A chong a pom ngei murdi baptis an changa, ma nikhuo han mi isâng thum an inbôk sa zoi.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
42 Tîrtonngei kôm inchûn, inlopkhômna inchelin bu khalâi ot inlopkhômna inchelin le chubaitho ningsiet takin an oma.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 Tîrtonngei han sininkhêl kamâmruoi tamtak an tho sikin mitinin an rin ngei zoia.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 A iempungei murdi chu inlopkhômin an neinunngei murdi an minchun zoi.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 An rochonngei an neinunngei murdi juorin an nâng dungjûiin inmang inlômin an insem ngâia.
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.
46 Anîngtin mulung munkhatin Biekina an inkhôm ngâia an in tieng khom râisântak le mulungchuktakin bu khalâi an ot ngâi.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Pathien an minpâka, mi murdi râisân lamin an oma. Hanchu, Pumapa minringa hong om tîr ngei chu anîngtin an lôm rangin a hong bôk pe bang ngâi ani.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
