< Sinthongei 15 >
1 Mi senkhat Judea ram renga Antioch an juonga, “Moses Balam anghan sertan nin tho nônchu sanminring ni thei no tu nui,” tiin iempungei an minchua.
And certain men which came down from Judæa taught the brethren, [and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Paul le Barnabas han ma roia han anni ngei hah an inkhalpui ngei oka, masikin, Paul le Barnaba le an lâia mi senkhat le ha bâiinkhamna chungroia han Jerusalema tîrtonngei le upangei hong intongpui rangin an minsûk zoia.
When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3 Koiindangin an hong mathâna, anni han Jentailngei Pathien tienga an inlet roi hah misîr tîrin Phoenicia ram le Samaria ram an sir suoa ha an misîr renga han iempungei murdi an râiasân oka.
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 Jerusalem an tungin chu koiindangin tîrtonngei le upangeiin an lei modôma ma ngei kôm han Pathien'n anni ngei ma anga sin a tho ngei murdi hah an rila.
And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and [of] the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 Hannirese Pharisee pâla mi iempungei senkhat an indinga, “Jentailngei sertan ngêta, Moses Balam an jôm rangin tipe ngei rang ani” an tia.
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command [them] to keep the law of Moses.
6 Tîrtonngei le upangei, ha roi hah jêk rangin an intûpa.
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 Asôt tak an inkhal suo nûkin Peter ândinga, “Sûngsuokngei, Jentailngei Pathien chong an rieta, an iem theina ranga Thurchi Sa misîr pe ngei ranga nin lâi renga tien renga Pathien'n mi zen ani ti hah nin riet.
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men [and] brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 Mitin mindona rietpu Pathien'n ei kôm mi pêk anghan Jentailngei khom Ratha Inthieng pêk sân a khôk tiin ânlanga.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;
9 Eini le anni sensâi loiin, an iem sikin an sietnangei a ngâidam zoia.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Masikin, ei richibulngei le eini pêl zoi khâiloi puok hah atûna hin iempungei chunga mokhop pe rang bôkin irang mo Pathien nin minsin hi?
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 Ni mak! Anni ngei angdênin eini khom Pumapa Jisua iema moroina han Sanminring ei ni,” a tia.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 Barnabas le Paul'n anni ngei manga Pathien'n Jentailngei lâia sininkhêlngei le kamâmruoingei a sin roi an misîr kâr chu mipuingei nâm an dâireka.
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 An misîr suole chu Jacob khomin a misîr sa, “Sûngsuokngei, ko chong rangâi ta u!
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men [and] brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Pathien'n ama riming ruput ranga anni ngei lâia ni lâk suok rangin Jentailngei a juong pan phut roi Simon'n a misîr zoia.
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 Ha chong le dêipungei chong hi ântok thap ani. Pathien lekhabu'n,
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 ‘Masuole, Pumapa han kîr nôk ka ta David omna rêngram achim hah minding nôk ki tih. a sietnangei sin nôk ka ta male mindet nôk ki tih.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 Male mi murdi ngei le Jentailngei, Ki mi niranga ko koi ngei nâm Jentailngei ko kôm hong an ta.
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Rammuol insieng renga hi chong min riet ngâipu Pumapa han a ti,’ ati anghan. (aiōn )
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. (aiōn )
19 “Masikin Jacob'n, mahi ki mindon chu ani. Jentailngei Pathien tienga hong inlet ngei chu minjêl no ila.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 Manêkin, lekha muthuonin mirmilngei biekna neinun inthiengloi sâk mo, hur le ngal mo, sâ lei thisai le thisen sâk mo, mong rangin tipe ngei ila ki ti ani.
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood.
21 Moses Balam chu tienlâi renga sabbathni rachamin Synagog taka an pore ngâi zoia, a chongngei khom khopui tina an misîr ngâi zoi,” a tia.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22 Hanchu, tîrtonngei, upangei le koiindang pumpuiin an lâia mi senkhat an thanga, Paul le Barnabas pâla Antiocha min se rangin an min chukka. An ulien uol inik iempungeiin an mirit, Judas, Barsabass an ti le Silas an thang ngeia.
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23 Hi anghin miziekin, an min chôi ngeia: “Keini, tîrtonngei le upangei nin sûngsuokngeiin kin iempu champui Jentail ânzir ngei Antioch, Syria le Cilicia rama omngei chibaingei nangni kin mûk.
And they wrote [letters] by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren [send] greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24 Kin pâla mi senkhatin thurchi juong misîrin nangni an minjêla, mulungjîng nangni an shak ti kin rieta; nikhomrese, anni ngei ha kin kôm renga ite rilnangei man mak ngei.
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, [Ye must] be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no [such] commandment:
25 Masikin kin intûpa, mulung inruol takin kin thanga nin kôm juongtîr rangin kin minsûk ani. Ei ruol moroitak ngei Barnaba le Paul
It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 Jisua Khrista sinthona an ringna phal ngei lehin juong rese ngei kin ti.
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Ha anghan, Judas le Silas kin juongtîr ani, hi ngei hin kin miziek hih mêl inmun nangni misîr pe an tih.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell [you] the same things by mouth.
28 Ratha Inthieng le inruolin hi balamngei sin om pêna hi chu puok rik dang sin loi rangin kin inruol;
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 An tîrlâmngei hah an sea, Antioch an tunga; mahan iempungei pâl murdi an koibûma, lekhamuthuon hah an pêk ngeia.
So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 An pore suole chu ma mohôkna chong sika han râisânin an sip zoia.
[Which] when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 Judas le Silas chu dêipungei khom an ti sa, asôtzan an chongpui ngeia, an mohôk ngeia, an min rât oka.
And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed [them].
33 Sûn sôtzan an om suole chu a juongtîr ngei kôm kîr nôk rangin an se zoia, iempungeiin rathangamriemin an mathân ngeia.
And after they had tarried [there] a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35 Paul le Barnaba chu midang tamtak ngei le Pumapa chong minchu le misîrin Antioch'a han zora sôtzan an la oma.
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 Zora sôtzan suole chu Paul'n Barnabas kôm, “Tho se nôk ei ta, khopui tina Pumapa chong ei misîrna murdia ei sûngsuokngei pan ei ta, i angin mo an om va en ngei rei,” a tia.
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, [and see] how they do.
37 Barnabas'n John Mark an kôm tuongsa rang a nuoma.
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 Hannirese Paul'n chu nuom maka, abi chu Pamphylia ram tena a kîra, an sin a zoipui loi sikin ani.
But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 An inkhal bita, an insen zoia, Barnabas John Mark a tuonga, rukuongin Cyprus tuihuol tieng an sea.
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 Paul'n chu Silas a thanga, iempungeiin Pumapa moroina kuta an bâng ngei suole chu a se zoi.
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41 Koiindangngei mindet tîrin Syria le Cilicia ram a sir zoi.
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
