< 2 Timothy 1 >
1 Paul, Khrista Jisua taka ringna om inkhâmna thurchi misîrna lama Pathien lungdoa Jisua Khrista tîrton renga han,
From Paul who, by the will of God, is an apostle of Christ Jesus, charged to proclaim the life that comes from union with Christ Jesus,
2 Ka nâipasal moroitak, Timothy kôm: Pathien ei Pa le Khrista Jisua ei Pumapa han moroina, inriengmuna le inngêina ngei nang pêk rese.
to Timothy, my dear child: may God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Lord, bless you, and be merciful to you, and give you peace.
3 Ki richibulngei renga sielesarietna inthiengtak dôna a sin ko tho pe ngâi Pathien kôm râisânchong ki misîr ngâi. Sûn le jân ku chubaithonangeia zoratin nang riettitin a kôm râisânchong ki misîr ngâi.
I am thankful to God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, when I remember you, as I never fail to do, in my prayers – night and day alike,
4 Ni mitrithingei khom ki riettit ngâi, male râisânnân ka sip theina rangin nang mu rang ku nuom sabak ani.
as I think of your tears, longing to see you, that my happiness may be completed,
5 Taksônna, takintâina no dôn hah ki riettita, ma taksônna hah aphut han ni pi Lois kôm le nu nû Eunice kôm khom aom, nangma no kôm khom aom sa ti ki riet minthâr ani.
now that I have been reminded of the sincere faith that you have shown. That faith was seen first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and is now, I am convinced, in you also.
6 Ma sika han nu chunga ku kutngei ki minngam lâia Pathien'n neinunpêk nang a pêk hah minring tit rangin nang ka minrietnôk ani.
And that is my reason for reminding you to stir into flame that gift of God, which is yours through your ordination at my hands.
7 Pathien Ratha mi pêk han ei thâimindôp maka; manêkin, ama Ratha'n sinthotheina, lungkhamna le indîntheinân mi min sip ngâi ani.
For the Spirit which God gave us was not a spirit of cowardice, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control.
8 Hanchu ei Pumapa rietpuipu nina ha inzakpui nônla; keima Khrista jâra mi intâng khom hih mên zakpui uol no roh. Manêkin, Pathien'n Thurchi Sa sika tuong theina ranak nang a pêk ngâi anghan nu tuong rangtum hah tuong roh.
Do not, therefore, be ashamed of the testimony which we have to bear to our Lord, or of me imprisoned for his sake; but join with me in suffering for the good news, as far as God enables you.
9 Ama han ei sintho ngei sika niloiin, ama neinunkhîn le a moroina sikin mi sanminringa, a mingei ni rangin mi koi ani. Hi moroina hih Khrista Jisua han rammuol insieng mân mi pêk zoia, (aiōnios )
It was God who saved us, and from him we received our solemn call – not as a reward for anything that we had done, but in fulfillment of his own loving purpose. For that love was extended to us, through Christ Jesus, before time began, (aiōnios )
10 aniatachu maha mi Sanminringpu Khrista Jisua juongna sikin atûn chu ei kôm minlangin aom zoi ani. Ama han thitheina ranak hah a min monga, male thurchisa renga han thitheiloina ringnun a minlang zoi.
and has now been made apparent through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus; who has made an end of death, and has brought life and immortality to light by that good news,
11 Thurchi Sa phuong rangin Pathien'n tîrton le minchupu'n ni phun zoi ani,
of which I was myself appointed a herald, apostle, and teacher.
12 male ma sika han kêng hi neinunngei khom hi ku tuong ani. Hannirese atûn tena khom ngamnân ka la sippuia, ka taksônpu hah tumo ani ti ki riet sikin, male ko kôma ni minkol hih ma Nikhuo ha atung mâka a rung thei ti ki riet mindik ani.
That is why I am undergoing these sufferings; yet I feel no shame, for I know in whom I have put my faith, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.
13 Chong dik nang ki minchu ngei hah sûr mindet tit roh, nu jûi ranga minenna ani anghan, Khrista Jisua leh inzoma eita, taksônna le lungkhamna han omtit roh.
Keep before you, as an example of sound teaching, all that you learnt from me as you listened with that faith and love which come from union with Christ Jesus.
14 Ei kôma om ngâi, Ratha Inthieng sinthotheinân neinun asa ngei no kôma minkola om hah vong minsa roh.
Guard by the help of the Holy Spirit, who is within us, the glorious trust that has been committed to you.
15 Asia ramhuola om murdi'n min mâk ti ni rieta, Phygelus le Hermogenes ngei khom an inchel sa.
You know, of course, that all our friends in Roman Asia turned their backs on me, including Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Pumapa'n Onesiphorus insûngmi ngei inriengmu ngei rese, ama han vêl tamtak mi minhar zoi sikin. Intângna ina ko om khom hi mên zakpui maka,
May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus; for he often cheered me and was not ashamed of my chains.
17 aniatachu Rom a hong tung lehan mi roka, ni mu mâka ni rok titir ani.
On the contrary, when he arrived in Rome, he sought eagerly for me until he found me.
18 Pumapa'n ha Nikhuo han a inriengmuna pêk rese! Male Ephesus taka keima rangin idôrmo sin a tho khom ni riet minthâr sabak ani.
The Lord grant that he may find mercy at the hands of the Lord on that day. The many services that he rendered at Ephesus you have the best means of knowing.
