< 2 Peter 2 >
1 Zora leivunsai han mingei lâia dêipu rotholngei an inlanga, ma anghan nangni lâia khom minchupu dikloi ngei la suok an tih. Anni han rilna dikloi la hongchôi an ta, anni khôkpu Pumapa lele khom minlêm an tih, masikin anni chunga inningloia sietminmangna tung atih.
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Hanchu, mi tamtakin indit inthiengloina lama han jûi an ta, ha ngei sintho sika han midang ngeiin chongtak lampui hah rilminsiet an tih.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 An inruokna sikin ha minchupu dikloi ngei han an rachama an iphuo thurchi ngei nangni rilin an inlâpna sin an tih. An Roijêkpu rang hah ânzoina asôtzan zoia, anni minmang rangpu hah alên thoi zoi ani.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 Pathien'n, nunsie tho vântîrtonngei hah hôi maka, dûkmuna a paia, Roijêkna nikhuo ngâk rangin jîngzirûia thungin ajîngna ai dar ani. (Tartaroō )
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (Tartaroō )
5 Pathien'n tienlâi rammuol khom hôi maka, pathienboi rammuola han tuisâng a minlien ani, ai hôi chu Noah, dikna chong misîrpu le midang sari anni.
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 Pathien'n Sodom le Gomorra khopuilienngei hah theiloimintumin mei leh a minmanga, pathienboi ngei chunga hongtung rang minenna ai tho ani.
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 Lot, midik, mi nunsie ngei balamboia hur sika beidong taka om ngâi hah a sanminjôk ani.
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 Ha midik hah an lâia omin an sintho saloi ngei hah a mua, a rieta, anîngtin mulung natna a tuong ngâia.
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds; )
9 Masikin Pumapa han ama riet ngâi ngei minsinna an tongna renga a kelsuo chang a rieta, misaloi ngei Roijêkna Nikhuo ngâk ranga dûktong puma dar chang khom a riet,
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 aliekin, an taksa ôina innim jûi ngei, Pathien rachamneina a enkhum ngei hah. Ha minchupu dikloi ngei hah mihâi le tukdullien an ni, chungtienga roiinpuina ngei khi mirit tho loia, an êro ngâi an ni.
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Hi minchupu dikloi ngei nêka rât uol le alien vântîrtonngei luon ha ngei hah Pumapa makunga êron, nôn ngâi mak ngei.
Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12 Aniatachu, hi mi ngei hi chu ramsa isûra that ranga ânzir ngei anghan an rietna mangin sin an thoa, an riet theiloi kai chu rilsietin an doi ngâi. Ramsa ngei anghan minmang nîng an tih,
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 dûktongna an musuo lam ang takin dûk mintuong ngei nîng an tih. An râisânna chu an taksa ôina minhoina ranga sûnkhovâra râisâna mang ani. Anni hah inzakpui om le mâimôk ompui tak an ni, nin bunêkna an honchel rachamin an milakna an song kelen ngâi ani.
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots [they are] and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Nupang angal tiloi chu ite en nuom ngâi mak ngeia, nunsie tho an ôina hah khotiklâi khomin bângpe ngâi mak ngei. Miriem râtloi ngei hah chânga an min ôk ngâia. An mindonna hah ranghuolnan asipa. Pathien khomâksâm nuoia an om ani.
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Lampui injîk hah an mâka, lam an invâi zoia, Beor nâipasal Balaam saloi a sin sika sum man rang nuompu lampui hah an jûi zoi ani.
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam [the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 Ama hah a nunsie sikin ngôn a oma, a sakuording hah miriem chongin a hong chonga, dêipu achâng sintho hah ai khap ani.
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 Ha mingei hah chu tuipûtsuonngei achâr le sûm phâivuopuiin ai sêmpai angin an ni. Pathien'n ha mingei ta rangin mun ajîngna inthûktak ahôi pe ngei zoi. ()
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. ()
18 Inpâk chong le invêt chong ngei an manga, nunsiea om ngei lâi renga hongjôk rang a bôk ngei hah an min ôk theina rangin hurna ngei an mang ngâi.
For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, [through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 Anni nunsie suoka omchien ngei han, mi zalêna apêk rangin an inkhâm ngâi, tu miriem khomin ama menêpu suoka chu aom ani.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 Ei Pumapa le Sanminringpu Jisua Khrista an rietna sikin rammuol tho minchâina ranak renga jôka, ama nanâka lût nôka, menêa om nôk mingei kai chu aphuta nêkin a dingmun nûktak hah chu ai siet uol ani.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 Dikna lampui hah an rieta, chongpêk inthieng pêk an ni suonûka, nûk an inhei nôk nêkin chu ariet reng an rietloi ni rese chu an ta rangin sa ôk atih.
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 An chunga neinun hongtung ngei hih, Vârchong, “Ui a muluok tieng a kîr nôk” ti le “Vok minthiengliei sai dieldôka inbuol rangin akîr nôk” iti hih adik ani iti a minlang ani.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
