Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

2 Pathien le ei Pumapa Jisua nin rietna han moroina le inngêina tamtak nin ta ni rese.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 A roiinpuina le asatna chang ranga mi koipu ei rietna sika sakhuo diktak ringnuna ei om theina ranga neinuntin ei nâng murdi Pathien sinthotheina ânthieng mi pêk zoi.

According as his divine power hath given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Ma anghan, neinunpêk roiinpui le luttak ânkhâm hah mi pêk zoi, ha neinunpêkngei sika han rammuola ôina saloi ngei renga rotpai, mi nina inthieng hah hong chang thei nin tih.

Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 Masika han nin theidôr songin nin taksônna han satna bôk ungla, nin satna han rietna bôk ungla,

And besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 nin rietna han indîntheina bôk ungla, nin indîntheina han tuongdierna bôk ungla, nin tuongdierna han pathien angna bôk ungla,

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 nin pathien angna han lâibung inmoroina bôk ungla, nin lâibung inmoroina han inlungkhamna bôk roi.

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 Hi mi nina neinun ngei hih nin inâng ani, hi ngei hih nin dôn tam ok inchu, ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista nin rietna han nangni min râtin, malam nangni min pan a tih.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 Aniatachu tukhom ha ngei dônloi chu a kôlrevêl vai amua, mitcho ania, a sietna muruo renga minsâi ani hah ai mingil ani.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purified from his old sins.

10 Masikin ka lâibungngei le sarnungei, Pathien'n a lungdoa nangni koina le thangna hah asôia omtit rangin ningsiet uol roi, ma anghan nin thôn chu nin taksônna hah mâk tet no tunui.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11 Ma anghan, ei Pumapa le Sanminringpu Jisua Khrista ringinlon Rêngrama lût theina akipin dikna pêk nîng nin tih. (aiōnios g166)

For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)

12 Masikin, hi chong ngei hih zoratin rietmintharna nangni pêk bang ki tih, nin lei rietsai piel nikhomsenla, maleh chongtak nin changa han lei phun mindet ngit lei ni ta khom ungla.

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and are established in the present truth.

13 Ki ringkâr chu hima roi ngei hih nin riettitna hah mohôk minhar tit inlang sâng atih, tiin ki mindon ani.

Indeed, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance;

14 Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista'n ânthârlaka mi lei ril anghan, hi thithei takpum hih chomolte suoleh chu khekpai ki tih, iti hih ki riet.

Knowing that shortly I must put off [this] my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shown me.

15 Ki thi suoleh khomin hi roi ngei hih zora tiin nin riettit theina rang lam nangni pêk rangin ke theidôr tho ki tih.

Moreover, I will endeavor that ye may be able, after my decease, to have these things always in remembrance.

16 Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista juong nôkna roiinpui a roi nangni kin min riet hah kin rachama kin phuotot thurchi ngeia inding mak meh, kin mit lelên ânlalna kin mu ani.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

17 Ama hah Pa Pathien'n inlalna leh roiinpuina a pêka, a kôma Roiinpuina Ânchungtak renga rôl ajuon ringa “Ma hih ka Nâipasal moroitak, ka râisân tatak hah ani” a ti lâia han kin om ani.

For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18 Ha rôl hah a kôma muol inthienga kin om lâiin invân renga ajuonga, keini lelên kin iriet ani.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him on the holy mount.

19 Masikin dêipungei chongphuong hah adet uolin ei rietminthâr ani. Ama chong nin rangâia anin chu tho minsa nin ta, khuo avâra, sikhovâr hah nin mulungrîla avâr mâka chu, ajîngna châti vâr angha ani sikin.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; to which ye do well that ye take heed, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

20 Adadang nêkin Pathien lekhabua chongphuong ngei hih tutên atheiin rilminthâr thei ngâi ni mak iti riettit roi.

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 Dêipuchong chongbe hih miriem jôtna sika suok ngâi ni maka, aniatachu miriemngei hah Ratha Inthieng jêka omin Pathien renga juong suok chong hah an iril ngâi ani.

For prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke [as they were] moved by the Holy Spirit.
