< 2 Peter 1 >

1 Simon Peter renga, Jisua Khrista tîrlâm le tîrton, Han Jisua Khrista kin Pathien le Sanminringpu dikna sika kin chang anghan iemna luttak achang ngei:
To those to whom, through the justice of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, there has been granted faith equally privileged with our own, from Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ.
2 Pathien le ei Pumapa Jisua nin rietna han moroina le inngêina tamtak nin ta ni rese.
May blessing and peace be yours in ever increasing measure, as you advance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus, our Lord.
3 A roiinpuina le asatna chang ranga mi koipu ei rietna sika sakhuo diktak ringnuna ei om theina ranga neinuntin ei nâng murdi Pathien sinthotheina ânthieng mi pêk zoi.
For his divine power has given us everything that is needful for a life of piety, as we advance in the knowledge of him who called us by a glorious manifestation of his goodness.
4 Ma anghan, neinunpêk roiinpui le luttak ânkhâm hah mi pêk zoi, ha neinunpêkngei sika han rammuola ôina saloi ngei renga rotpai, mi nina inthieng hah hong chang thei nin tih.
For it was through this that he gave us what we prize as the greatest of his promises, that through them you might participate in the divine nature, now that you have fled from the corruption in the world, resulting from human passions.
5 Masika han nin theidôr songin nin taksônna han satna bôk ungla, nin satna han rietna bôk ungla,
Yes, and for this reason do your best to supplement your faith by goodness, goodness by knowledge,
6 nin rietna han indîntheina bôk ungla, nin indîntheina han tuongdierna bôk ungla, nin tuongdierna han pathien angna bôk ungla,
knowledge by self-control, self-control by endurance, endurance by piety,
7 nin pathien angna han lâibung inmoroina bôk ungla, nin lâibung inmoroina han inlungkhamna bôk roi.
piety by mutual affection, and mutual affection by love.
8 Hi mi nina neinun ngei hih nin inâng ani, hi ngei hih nin dôn tam ok inchu, ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista nin rietna han nangni min râtin, malam nangni min pan a tih.
For, when these virtues are yours, in increasing measure, they prevent your being indifferent to, or destitute of, a fuller knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Aniatachu tukhom ha ngei dônloi chu a kôlrevêl vai amua, mitcho ania, a sietna muruo renga minsâi ani hah ai mingil ani.
Surely the person who has not these virtues is shortsighted even to blindness, and has chosen to forget that they have been purified from their sins of the past!
10 Masikin ka lâibungngei le sarnungei, Pathien'n a lungdoa nangni koina le thangna hah asôia omtit rangin ningsiet uol roi, ma anghan nin thôn chu nin taksônna hah mâk tet no tunui.
Therefore, friends, do your best to put God’s call and selection of you beyond all doubt; for, if you do this, you will never fall.
11 Ma anghan, ei Pumapa le Sanminringpu Jisua Khrista ringinlon Rêngrama lût theina akipin dikna pêk nîng nin tih. (aiōnios g166)
For in this way you will be given a triumphant admission into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Masikin, hi chong ngei hih zoratin rietmintharna nangni pêk bang ki tih, nin lei rietsai piel nikhomsenla, maleh chongtak nin changa han lei phun mindet ngit lei ni ta khom ungla.
I will, therefore, always be ready to remind you of all this, even though you know it and are firmly established in the truth that you now hold.
13 Ki ringkâr chu hima roi ngei hih nin riettitna hah mohôk minhar tit inlang sâng atih, tiin ki mindon ani.
But I think it my duty, as long as I live in this ‘tent,’ to rouse you by awakening memories of the past;
14 Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista'n ânthârlaka mi lei ril anghan, hi thithei takpum hih chomolte suoleh chu khekpai ki tih, iti hih ki riet.
for I know that the time for this ‘tent’ of mine to be put away is soon coming, as our Lord Jesus Christ himself assured me.
15 Ki thi suoleh khomin hi roi ngei hih zora tiin nin riettit theina rang lam nangni pêk rangin ke theidôr tho ki tih.
So I will do my best to enable you, at any time after my departure, to call these truths to mind.
16 Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista juong nôkna roiinpui a roi nangni kin min riet hah kin rachama kin phuotot thurchi ngeia inding mak meh, kin mit lelên ânlalna kin mu ani.
For we were not following cleverly devised stories when we told you of the coming in power of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eye-witnesses of his majesty.
17 Ama hah Pa Pathien'n inlalna leh roiinpuina a pêka, a kôma Roiinpuina Ânchungtak renga rôl ajuon ringa “Ma hih ka Nâipasal moroitak, ka râisân tatak hah ani” a ti lâia han kin om ani.
For he received honor and glory from God the Father, when from the glory of the Divine Majesty there were borne to his ears words such as these – ‘This is my dearly loved son, who brings me great joy.’
18 Ha rôl hah a kôma muol inthienga kin om lâiin invân renga ajuonga, keini lelên kin iriet ani.
These were the words that we heard, borne to our ears from heaven, when we were with him on that sacred mountain.
19 Masikin dêipungei chongphuong hah adet uolin ei rietminthâr ani. Ama chong nin rangâia anin chu tho minsa nin ta, khuo avâra, sikhovâr hah nin mulungrîla avâr mâka chu, ajîngna châti vâr angha ani sikin.
And still stronger is the assurance that we have in the teaching of the prophets; to which you will do well to pay attention (as if it were a lamp shining in a gloomy place), until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
20 Adadang nêkin Pathien lekhabua chongphuong ngei hih tutên atheiin rilminthâr thei ngâi ni mak iti riettit roi.
But first be assured of this: There is no prophetic teaching found in scripture that can be interpreted by a person’s unaided reason;
21 Dêipuchong chongbe hih miriem jôtna sika suok ngâi ni maka, aniatachu miriemngei hah Ratha Inthieng jêka omin Pathien renga juong suok chong hah an iril ngâi ani.
for no prophetic teaching ever came in the old days at the mere wish of people, but people, moved by the Holy Spirit, spoke direct from God.
