Finally then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to live and to please God, even as you are living, that you excel more and more.

2 Pumapa Jisua rachamneina taka rilnangei nangni kin pêk hah nin riet sikin.

For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God;

6 Hanchu ma roia han, tukhomin nin khristien champui dangngei chunga tho minchâi no roi aninônchu inlâpna tho no roi. Ma anga thopu ngei chu Pumapa'n dûkmintong ngei atih, tiin nangni kin lei rila, male inningna lientak nangni kin pêksai ani.

that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

7 Pathien'n nunchan ânthiengloia om rangin mi koi maka, ânthienga om rangin kêng mi koi ani.

For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

8 Masikin tukhom hi minchuna heng ngei chu miriem heng nimak ngeia, Pathien ama Ratha Inthieng nangni pêk ngâipu heng kêng ani.

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

9 Nin iempu champuingei nin lungkham rang roi chu miziek pe rang nâng mak chei. Inmo inkhat le inkhat nin inlungkham rang chu nangni reng Pathien'n nangni a minchu zoi ani.

But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

10 Male nangnin, atatakin, ma angtak han Macedonia rama lâibungngei le sarnungei murdi chunga nin tho ngâi zoi ani. Masikin ruolngei tho nôk uol rangin nangni kin ngên ani.

for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

11 Nangni kin lei ril anghan, dâiriema ringnun mang rangin khîna sin ungla, nin sin chit lunghâng thoa, male nin ringna rang chit lo suok rangin bôk roi.

and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

12 Ma anghan anînchu nîngtina nin ringnun han iemloipungei nangni jâ an ta, male nin nâng ngei hah tute chunga nin inngam nâng no nih.

that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

13 Kin lâibungngei le sarnungei, midang sabeina reng dônloi ngei anghan nin inngûi loina rangin alei thisai ngei chongtak chungroi hah nin riet kin nuom ani.

But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

14 Jisua a thia male ânthoinôk zoi ti ei iem ani, masikin Pathien'n ama iema lei thi ngei chu Jisua leh munkhatin tuong ngei nôk atih, ti ei iem ani.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

15 Atûna nangni kin minchu hih Pumapa minchuna ania: eini Pumapa juong ni dêna aringa lei omngei hin alei thisai ngei hah khêl thei ngei tet no ih.

For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 Chongpêka iniek miring ngei, vântîrton inchungtak ngei rôl, Pathien bekul miring ngei om a ta, male Pumapa lelên invân renga juong chum atih. Khrista iema thi ngei hah aringin inthoi masa an ta;

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God's trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,

17 hanchu eini aringa lei om ngei hih sûmngei lâia Pumapa don rangin anni ngei leh phâivuo kâra khin munkhatin juong lâkin om ei ta. Male chu Pumapa kôm om tit ei ti zoi.

then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

18 Masikin hi chongngei lehin inkhat le inkhat inmohôk inlôm ngâi roi.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
