When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with superiority of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the mystery of God.

2 Nin lâia ko om han khom neinun dang murdi mingil riein Jisua Khrista jêmdela aom roi vai kêng nin riet rang ku nuom ngâi.

For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 Ma anghan nin lâia han râtloi le innîk pumin leh ichin ko oma,

When I was with you, I was weak and afraid and I shook.

4 male ka bâi renga minchuna chong asuok le ku thurchi misîr ngei khom hah miriem vârna methêmna chong nimaka, Pathien Ratha sinthotheina chong kêng ani uol.

My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

5 Masikin nin taksônna hah miriem vârna han inngam maka, Pathien sinthotheina han kêng ânngam ani.

that your faith would not rest on human wisdom, but on the power of God.

6 Hannoma rathatienga mitungsuo ngei kôm chu vârna chong ki misîr ngâi. Hannirese hi rammuol vârna chong chu nimaka, hi rammuol roijêkpungei an inlalna ânmang tir ngei vârna chong khom nimak. (aiōn g165)

We speak wisdom, however, among those who are mature, but a wisdom not of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are passing away. (aiōn g165)

7 Pathien vârna chong inthup ha kêng ki misîr ngâi, vârna chong inthup ei roiinpuina ranga Pathien'n rammuol om mânna a lei thangsai hah kêng ani. (aiōn g165)

But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God determined in advance before the ages for our glory, (aiōn g165)

8 Ma vârna hah hi rammuol roijêkpungei rengin riet mak ngei. Riet senla ngei chu roiinpuina Pumapa hah jêmdel noni ngei. (aiōn g165)

which none of the rulers of this age has understood. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (aiōn g165)

9 Hannoma Pathien lekhabu'n, “Tutên an mu ngâiloi le an riet ngâiloi, Ma anga tung ranga tutên an mindon loi, Pathien'n a lungkham ngei ta ranga a mintuosai ngân chu,” ati anghan.

But as it is written, No eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things which God has prepared for those who love him.

10 Aniatachu Pathien'n eini rangin chu a chongtak inthup hah Ratha'n mi min riet zoi. Ratha han jâttin a sûisuok ngâi, Pathien neinunkhînngei inthûktaka inthup khom.

But to us God revealed it through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

11 Ei sûnga om ei ratha lelê hih vai kêng ei chungroi a riet ngâia; ma angdên han, Pathien Ratha vai kêng Pathien chungroi murdi a riet thei ngâi.

For what person knows the things of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

12 Ei man hih rammuol Ratha nimaka; manêkin, Pathien'n neinun mi pêk ngei murdi ei riet theina rangin, Pathien juongtîr Ratha ha kêng ei man ani.

But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

13 Masika han miriem vârna minchûn, misîr ngâi mak mea, Ratha minchûn kêng kin misîr ngâi, rathatienga chongtakngei hah Ratha dônngei kôm kin rilsensâi ngâi.

And we speak of these things, not with words taught by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

14 Tukhom Ratha dôn loiin chu Pathien Ratha renga manboipêkngei hah man thei ngâi mak ngei. Ma anga mingei han chu ma neinunngei hah riet thei ngâi mak ngeia; ama ta rangin chu inmôlna vai kêng ani, a luttie hah Ratha'n vai kêng a riet thei sikin.

Now the natural person does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 Tutu khom Ratha man ngei chu neinuntin aluttie an riet ngâi, hannirese, ama chu tutên jêk thei ngâi mak ngei.

But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.

16 Pathien lekhabu'n ati anghan: “Tu'n mo Pumapa mulungrîl a riet? Tu mo minchuna chong a pêk thei rang?” Nikhomrese, einin chu Khrista mulungbôk ei pêl ani.

For, "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Who will instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
