1 Khrista nunchan inchupu ki ni anghan, ku nunchan inchu ngei ni roi.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.

2 Mi nin riettit ngâi sik le nangni ki minchunangei nin jûi tit ngâi sikin nangni ki minpâk.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered [them] to you.

3 Aniatachu, pasal lu chu Khrista ani, nupang lu chu pasal ani, male Khrista lu chu Pathien ani ti nin riet rangin ku nuom.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.

4 Masikin pasal lukhum inkhum puma inkhômna taka chubaitho ngâi mini, thurchi misîr ngâi ngei mini chu Khrista an lu hah mâimôk an shak ani.

Every man praying or prophesying, having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head.

5 Male nupang tukhom lukhum inkhum loia inkhômna taka chubaitho ngâi mini, thurchi misîr ngâi ngei mini khom an lu, an pasal mâimôk an shak ania; ma anga nupang chu nupang an sam zietminkol leh ateina om mak ani.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

6 Nupangin lukhum ân khum nuom nônchu epin ep let rese, ma anga nupang rangin samep mo, luvoi mo hi inzakpui aomin chu lukhum tho rese.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

7 Pasal chu Pathien rimil in-angpui le Pathien roiinpuina minlang ngâipu ani sikin lukhum ân khum rang nâng mak. Aniatachu nupang chu pasal roiinpuina minlang ngâinu ania;

For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

8 pasal hih nupang renga sin nimaka, aninâka nupang chu pasal renga sin ani.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

9 Pasal hih nupang jâra sin khom nimaka, aninâka nupang rêk chu pasal jâra sin ani.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

10 Masikin vântîrtonngei sika han nupangin pasal rachamneina nuoia om ani ti indangna rangin lukhum a tho rang ani.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of the angels.

11 Nikhomrese, Pumapa taka ei ringnuna hin nupang hih pasal boiin chu om thei maka, pasal khom nupang boiin chu om thei mak.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

12 Nupang hih pasal renga sin ani anghan pasal hih nupang renga suok ania; male jâttin hih Pathien renga ânzir let ani.

For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

13 Mindon ta u, nupang lukhum inkhum loia inkhômna taka Pathien kôm chubaitho ânhoi mo?

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

14 Pasal sam minsei chu ata rangin neinun inzakom ani ti nin inzirpui mulungrîl khomin a riet nimak mo?

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

15 Nupang sam minsei chu ama roiinpuina ania, a sam hah ama inkhum rang piela pêk ani.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.

16 Aniatachu, tumakhatin hi roi hih a makhal an om lekhom, mapêna hi chu balam dang reng dôn mak me, Pathien koiindangngei khomin dôn mak ngei.

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

17 Nikhomrese, nangni ki rilnangei zomin chu nangni minpâk mu-ung, nin satna rang niloiin nin siet uolna rangin nin inkhôm ngâi sikin.

Now in this that I declare [unto you] I praise [you] not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

18 Amotontaka, nin intûpnangei han doi pâlngei an om ti mîn min rila; male ma hih dik lekhom ki iem ani.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

19 (Midik ngei hah an inlang theina rangin nin lâia insenna aom rang piel ani.)

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

20 Apâla nin intûp zora nin sâk ngâi hah Pumapa Jânbu nimak.

When ye come together therefore into one place, [this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper.

21 Nin nêkin nin bu pak motona nin nêk baka, senkhat nin inrûi lâiin senkhat nin von achâm ngâi sikin.

For in eating every one taketh before [other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

22 Nin sâk nin nêkna rangin inngei nin dônloi mo? Aninônchu, Pathien koiindang en min nuoiin mi intak ngei hah mâimôk nin shak mini? Hi chungroia hin imo ti-le mi nin minhoi? Nangni ki minpâk rang mini? Nangni minpâk tet mu-ung.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.

23 Inchuna nangni ke pêk ngei hah Pumapa kôm renga ka man kêng: Pumapa Jisua minsûra aom ni jâna han vâipôl hâr a lâka.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 Pathien kôm râisânchong a misîr suole a khoia, “Hi ma hih ka taksa nin ruthûla pêk rang hah ani. Mi nin riettitna rangin ma hih tho ngâi roi,” a tia.

And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 Ma angdên han, jânbu an nêk suole khuri khom a lâka, “Hi khuri hih Pathien chonginkhitna athar ki thisena mindet ani. Nin buong racham mi nin riettitna rangin tho ngâi roi,” a tia.

After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.

26 Zoratin hi vâipôl hih nin sâka, khuri renga nin buong racham a juong nôk mâka chu Pumapa thina hah nin phuong ani.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

27 Masikin tukhom chukloi pumin Pumapa vâipôl hih nin sâka, a khuri renga buong ngei kai chu Pumapa taksa le thisen chunga theiloi chang nin tih, tiin ajûi sa ngâi ani.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 Masikin mitin inphuol bak ungla, masuole vâipôl hah sâkin male khuri renga hah buong roi.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.

29 Vâipôl sâkpu le khuri renga buongpu ngei han Pumapa taksa omtie nin riet minthâr nônchu nin sâk le nin buong sika han nin chunga roijêkna nin mintung ani.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

30 Masika han kêng nin inzala, damloiin nin oma male mi tamtak nin thi.

For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 Eini nanâkin inphuol bak ila chu Pathien roijêkna nuoia om no uh.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 Aniatachu rammuol leh munkhata theiloi ei chang loina rangin Pumapa jêkin le dûkmintongin ei om ngâi.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

33 Masikin, ka lâibungngei le sarnungei, Pumapa jânbu ot ranga nin intûpin inngâk inlôm ngâi roi.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

34 Nin intûpin Pathien roijêkna nuoia nin omloina rangin tutu khom a vonchâmin chu a ina nêk rese. Roi dangngei nâm chu ko hong tika hong min sûk ki tih.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
