< Mathayo 15 >
1 Na Amafarisayo na asimbi bhahenzele wha Yesu afume Huyerusalemu. Na yanje,
Then some Pharisees and teachers of the Law came to Jesus, and said,
2 “Yenu abhanafunzi bhananganya amalisizi gazehe? Afwatanaje sagabhanawa inyobhe zyawo lwabhalya ishalye.”
“How is it that your disciples break the traditions of our ancestors? For they do not wash their hands when they eat food.”
3 U Yesu abhajibu nahubhawozya, “Namwe yenu munanganya indajizyo ya Gosi kwa ajili yamalisizi genyu?
His reply was, “How is it that you on your side break God’s commandments out of respect for your own traditions?
4 Afwatanaje o Ngolobhi ayanjile, 'Ubheninshinshi wha baba waho nu maye waho; na 'Wayanga imbibhi wha baba wakwe na whamaye wakwe, na hakika afwe.'
For God said – ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who abuses his father or mother shall suffer death,’
5 Ila amwe muyanga, na wahumozya ubaba wakwe nu maye wakwe, “Kila ulwavwe ambalo andapatile afume huline eshe mpesya afume wha Ngolobhi,”
but you say ‘Whenever anyone says to his father or mother “Whatever of mine might have been of service to you is set apart for God,”
6 “Umuntu oyo sagaalinihaja yabheninshinshi wha baba wakwe. Katika inamuna ene mubadilisizye izulya Ngolobhi kwa ajili yimalisizi genyu.
he is in no way bound to honor his father.’ In this way you have nullified the words of God for the sake of your traditions.
7 Amwe bhanafiki, shinza hansi u Isaya shakuwilwe pamwanya yenyu shayanjile,
Hypocrites! It was well said by Isaiah when he prophesied about you –
8 'Abhantu ebha bhahwfpanyila inshinshi ane humalomu gawo, ila amioyo gawo galihutali nane.
‘This is a people that honor me with their lips, While their hearts are far removed from me;
9 Bhahunsaya wene, kwa sababu bhafundizya amamanyizyo agali malajizyo gabhanadamu.”
but vainly do they worship me, For they teach but human precepts.’”
10 Epo abhakwizizye ikusanyiho na hubhawozye, “Tejelezi na mumanye
Then Jesus called the people to him, and said, “Listen, and mark my words.
11 Nahamo ahantu hahahinjila mwilomu lya muntu nahumombe ubhibhi. Ila, shila shishifuma mwilomu eshi shesho shimomba umuntu abhe mibhi.”
It is not what enters a person’s mouth that defiles them, but what comes out from their mouth – that does defile them!”
12 Epo abhanafunzi bhamalila nayanje nu Yesu, “Eshi!, Uwhele Amafarisayo lwabhalyevwa lila izu bhavisiwilwe?”
His disciples came up to him, and said, “Do you know that the Pharisees were shocked on hearing what you said?”
13 U Yesu abhajibu na yanje, “Kila likwi lwasagatotile ubaba wane wahumwanya lyayisenywa.
“Every plant,” Jesus replied, “that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.
14 Bhaleshi bhene, abhene bhalongozi bhivipofu. Hansi umuntu shipofu abhahunongozye ushipofu uwamwawo, wonti bhabhele bhanzagwe mwilende.”
Leave them be; they are but blind guides; and, if one blind person guides another, both of them will fall into a ditch.”
15 Upetro ajibu na humozye u Yesu, “Tiwozye umfano ogu hulite,
Peter spoke up, “Explain this saying to us.”
16 U Yesu ajibu, “Namwe bado sagamuhelewa?
“What, do even you understand nothing yet?” Jesus exclaimed.
17 Namwe sagamuwhenya aje shila shishi bhala mwilomu shishilila muvyanda na bhale muchoho?
“Don’t you see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is afterward expelled?
18 Ila ivintu vyonti vivifuma mwilomu vifuma mhati yimoyo. Shesho ivintu vihumeha umuntu ubhibhi.
But the things that come out of the mouth proceed from the heart, and it is these that defile a person;
19 Afwatanaje katika umoyo gafuma amawazo amabhibhi, ugoji, uumalaya, uashelati, uwibha, uashuda wilenga ni ndigo.
for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts – murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, perjury, slander.
20 Ega gamambo gahumeha umuntu ubhibhi. Ila alye bila anawe inyobhe sagahuumomba umuntu abhe mibhi.”
These are the things that defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile a person.”
21 Epo u Yesu ayepa isehemu ela nahujisegusye aeleshela uhupande wi miji gi Tiro ni Sidoni.
On going away from that place, Jesus went to the country around Tyre and Sidon.
22 Enya ayenza onshe Umkanani afume uwupande owo. Azuvya isauti ayanga, “Ndolele inkombo, Gosi, Mwana wa Daudi; umwale wane ayemba hani ni mpepo.”
There, a Canaanite woman of that district came out and began calling to Jesus, “Take pity on me, Master, Son of David; my daughter is grievously possessed by a demon.”
23 Ila u Yesu sagaajibule izu. Abhanafunzi bhakwe bhenza bhanabha bhayanga, “Mwefwe abhaje ulwakwe, maana ahutikhomela ihalanga.”
But Jesus did not answer her a word; and his disciples came up and begged him to send her away. “She keeps calling out after us,” they said.
24 U Yesu abhajibule nayanje, Saganatumwile wha muntu wowonti ila whingole zizitejile zinyumba yi Israeli.”
“I was not sent,” replied Jesus, “to anyone except the lost sheep of Israel.”
25 Ila ahenzele na whiname whilongolela lyakwe, ayanga, “Gosi navwe.”
But the woman came, and, bowing to the ground before him, said, “Master, help me.”
26 Ajibule na yanje, “Sagashinza awheje ishalye shabhana na huzitajile embwa.”
“It is not fair,” replied Jesus, “to take the children’s food and throw it to dogs.”
27 Ayanga, “Eshi, Gosi, hata esho embwa indodo zilya ishalye shishigwa pameza pa Gosi wawo.”
“Yes, Master,” she said, “for even dogs do feed on the scraps that fall from their owners’ table.”
28 Epo u Yesu ajibu na yanje “Anshe, ulweteho lwaho gosi.” Na ifanyishe huliwe hansi shuwhanza.” Nu mwale wakwe ali aponile husala yeyo.
“Your faith is great,” was his reply to the woman, “it will be as you wish!” And her daughter was cured that very hour.
29 U Yesu asogoye isehemu ela nabhale karibu ni bahari yi Galilaya. Tena abhala humwanya yigamba na khale oho.
On leaving that place, Jesus went to the shore of the Sea of Galilee; and then went up the hill, and sat down.
30 Empoga ingosi yahenza hukwakwe. Na hunetele bhasaga bhajenda avipofu, abubu, bhishilema na bhanje vinji, bhabhali bhabhinile. Bhabhabheshele pamanama ga Yesu abhaponyla.
Great crowds of people came to him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, or dumb, and many others. They put them down at his feet, and he cured them;
31 Na bhene empoga bhaswijile lwabhalolile amabubu bhayanga, ni vilema bhabhewha womi, aviwete bhajenda, nivipofu bhalola. Bhatemele Ongolobhi wi Israeli.
and the crowds were astonished, when they saw the dumb talking, the cripples made sound, the lame walking about, and the blind with their sight restored; and they praised the God of Israel.
32 U Yesu abhakwizizye abhanafunzi bhakwe nayanje, “Imbaloleye inkombo impoga, husababu bhali nane hinsiku zitatu bila alye ahantu hohonti, sigimbahubhalaje bhabhale humwawo bila alye, bhasa hazimile mwidala.”
Afterward Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, “My heart is moved at the sight of all these people, for they have already been with me three days and they have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry; they might faint on the way home.”
33 Abhanafunzi bhakwe bhamozya, “Tibhawezye apate amabumunda gatosye epa pinyiha awhigutizye empoga ingosi eshi?”
“Where can we,” his disciples asked, “in a lonely place find enough bread for such a crowd as this?”
34 U Yesu abhawozya, “Muli na mabumunda galenga?” Bhayanga, “Saba, neswe indodo ndodo.”
“How many loaves have you?” said Jesus. “Seven,” they answered, “and a few small fish.”
35 U Yesu ayiwozya empoga ikhale pansi.
Telling the crowd to sit down on the ground,
36 Ahejile gala amabumunda saba neswe, na baada ya husalifwe, agamensula na hubhapele abhanafunzi. Abhanafunzi bhabhapela empoga.
Jesus took the seven loaves and the fish, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke them, and gave them to the disciples; and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
37 Abhantu bhonti bhalya natosewe. Bwawonganya gagasyalile ivipande vivyalye vya vyasageye vipande vipande, vyamemile iviseje saba.
Everyone had sufficient to eat, and they picked up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left.
38 Wonti bhabhaliye bhali alume elfu zene bila abhashe na bhana.
The men who ate were four thousand in number without counting women and children.
39 Tena u Yesu alaga empoga bhabha bhewo na ayinjila mkasi yi mashua na bhale isehemu zi Magadani.
Then, after dismissing the crowds, Jesus got into the boat, and went to the region of Magadan.
