1 Nashaphi shausili agosi abhachungaji bhatangana pandwimo nagosi na simbi na bhibalaza sha lyundti ilyangosi. Kisha wakamfunga Yesu wakampeleka kwa Pilato. Pilato akamwuliza, “wewe ni Mfalme wa Wayahudi?”
And forthwith, in the morning, the chief priests with the Elders and the Scribes, and the whole Sanhedrim, held a consultation. And they bound Jesus, and led him away, and delivered him over to Pilate the president.
2 “Ahabhajibu, “Awe unjele isho.”
And Pilate asked him: Art thou the king of the Jews? He replied and said to him: Thou hast said.
3 Agosi abhachungaji bhahelezya amashitaka gaminji ju ya Yesu.
And the chief priests accused him of many things.
4 U Pilato abhuzya nanthele, “Haga ujibu hahundte? Haga ulola ishabha hukata humambo aminji?
And Pilate again questioned him, and said to him: Makest thou no reply? See how much they testify against thee!
5 Lelo uYesu haga ahajibu uPilato, ilya lya syizwa.
But Jesus gave no answer; so that Pilate wondered.
6 Nishi ikawaida uwakati uwishikulukulu awigulilya ufungwa omo, ufunga uwalabhile.
And it was his custom, at each festival, to release to them one prisoner, whom they might desire.
7 Wali atulanongwa wijela, palushimo nabha goga muhati bhali asawogopa. Abhatumishila ulozi wao. Ahali umuntu umo uya witwa Barnaba.
And there was one named Bar Abas, who was confined with the movers of sedition, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 Ibuga ihenza wa Pilato, na hulavhe abhombe ishabhombaga uwo khosi.
And the people clamored, and began to demand, that he should do to them as he was accustomed.
9 U Pilato abha jibu nayanje, “Munza imba fungulile Utawala uwa Yahudi?”
And Pilate answered, and said: Will ye, that I release to you the king of the Jews?
10 Pepo amenye pipo hunongwa ikelo agosi bhachungaji bhakata uYesu nahutwale wamwene.
For Pilate knew that the chief priests, from envy, had delivered him up.
11 Lelo agosi bha chungaji bhansonjelezya ibunga akhome iholo usauti uje ayigulilye Baranaba bada yamwene.
But the chief priests further persuaded the multitudes, that Bar Abas should be released to them.
12 U Pilatoi abhajibu andtele nayanje, “Ibhombe bhuli Utawala Uyahudi?
And Pilate said to them: What will ye, therefore, that I do to him whom ye call king of the Jews?
13 Bhaha bwaga nandtele, “Musulibishe!”
And they again cried out: Crucify him.
14 U Pilato ayanga, “Abhombile lijambo nshi?” Lelo bhahazida akhome ikelele zaidi na zaidi “Musulubishe.”
And Pilate said to them: But what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more: Crucify him.
15 U Pilato ahanza abhalizisye ibuga, abhigula Baraba. Akhama uYesu nujalindi afumia ili asulubiwe.
And Pilate was willing to gratify the wishes of the multitudes; and he released to them Bar Abas; and, having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to them to be crucified.
16 Askali bhahalogola hadi muhanti izyala (bhula uwali muhati ikambi) bhabhungene pandwemo ishikundi ishasikali.
And the soldiers led him into the hall which was the Praetorium; and they called together the whole regiment;
17 Bhakwatizya uYesu ikhanzu iyilangi izambarau, bhapota inginga imivhwabha kwatizya.
and they clothed him in purple, and braided a crown of thorns and put upon him;
18 Bhanda hulyeule nayanje, “Mwagona, Mutawala uwa Yahudi!”
and began to salute him with, " Hail, king of the Jews!"
19 Bhakhoma witwe namenda nahuswile amanti. Bhaha fugama amafugamo witanzi lyakwe huheshimu.
And they smote him on the head with a reed and spit in his face, and bowed upon their knees and worshipped him.
20 Paka pahali bhalyeule, bhahaula ikhanzu ilangi izambarau, nahukwatizye amena gakwe, bhahafumila hunzi abhale husulubisye.
And having mocked him, they divested him of the purple, and clothed him in his own garments, and led him forth to crucify him.
21 Bhalazimisya ajende idala humwavhe, uwa winjila hujini afume hu gunda. Uyawitwa Simoni Mkirene(uyise wakwe Iskanda na Rufo); bhalazimisya anyemule ishikhovhehanyo isha Yesu.
And they compelled a passer-by, Simon the Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, who was coming from the fields, to bear his cross.
22 Asikali bhahatwala uYesu apawitwa Goligotha (amana gakwe itafsiri ine, mahali ipo yi fuvulitwe).
And they brought him to Golgotha, the place which is interpreted a Skull.
23 Bhapela ihobwa isangine ni manemane, lelo haga amwela.
And they gave him to drink wine in which myrrh was mixed; and he would not receive it.
24 Bhasubisya bhahagabhana amenda gakwe, bhagakhomela ikula awamule ishi pande ishabha pante shila sikali.
And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments; and cast the lot upon them, what each should take.
25 Ibhanga ibhala saa tatu nashaphi pabha sulubisyaga.
And it was the third hour when they crucified him.
26 Bhabhiha pamwanya yakwe ulubao ululyasibilye ishitaka “Mutawala wa Yahudi.”
And the cause of his death was written in the inscription: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
27 Bhasulubisya pandwimo na majambazi bhabhili, umo hukhono ulilo uwinji hukhono ugwa hu mongo gwakwe.
And they crucified with him two robbers, the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith: He was accounted among the wicked.
29 Bhope pali bhajenda bhaligaga bhayizyaga, amatwe gao bhayangaga, “Aha! awe bhuhajile uhaibomola ishibhaza hunsiku zitatu,
And they also that passed by, reviled him; and, nodding their heads, they said: Aha, thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days,
30 wiyokole bhumwene iyish pansi afume pashi khovhe hanyo!”
rescue thyself, and come down from the cross.
31 Inamuna yila agosi bhachungaji bhalyeula bhayangana, pandwimo nasimbi nayanje, “Ahupaga abhanji, Lelo hagawezya awiyupe yuyo.
And so also the chief priests, jeering one with another, and the Scribes, said: He gave life to others, his own life he cannot save.
32 Kilisiti Mtawala wa Israeli, iha panzi ishi fuma pashikhovhehanyo, ilituwezye alole na waamini.” Na bhala abhasulubisye pamoja anao bhalye.
Let Messiah, the king of the Jews, now descend from the cross, that we may see it and believe in him. And those also who were crucified with him, derided him.
33 Pihafiha isantanda, ikisi ihenza pamwanya insi yundti paka musatisa.
And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
34 Pahafi itisa, uYesu ahakhoma ikelele husauti ingosi, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabaktani?” ihabhanga namana “Ngulubhi wani, Ngulubhi wani, yenu undeha?”
And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, and said: Il, Il, lemono shebakthone; that is: My God, my God; why hast thou forsaken me?
35 Bhamo abhahimilyile pahuvha bhayanga, “Enya, ahuku ga Eliya.”
And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said: He calleth for Elijah.
36 Umuntu umo anyila, amemia siki mu sponji nabhi she amwanya mwipishi ili la lanzi, ahapela ili mwele. Umuntu umo ahayanga, “Gula tulole khashele Eliya kama awinza humwisye pansi.”
And one ran and filled a sponge with vinegar, and tied it on a reed, to offer him drink. And they said: Desist; let us see if Elijah will come to take him down.
37 Phepo uYesu ahalila nu sauti ingosi afwa.
And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and expired.
38 Ipazia lishibhanza lyalyaganiha tupande tubhili afume humwanya hadi panzi.
And the curtain of the door of the temple was rent, from the top to the bottom.
39 Afisa umo uwahemelele abhelelaga wa Yesu, pahalola huje afile hunamuna ila, ayanjile, “Lyoli unu umuntu ali Mwana wa Ngulubhi.”
And when the centurion, who was standing near him, saw that he so cried and expired, he said: Verily, this was the Son of God.
40 Bhanga pipo abhashibhali wenya shahutali muhati yao umo ahali. Umaliamu Magdalena, uMaliya (unyina wakwe Yakobo udodo wakwe Yose), na Salome.
And there were women looking on, from a distance, Mary Magdalena, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41 Uwakati pahali Galialaya bhadajile nahutumishile. Abhashi bhamo abhanji bhambatana nao hadi uYelusalemu.
who, when he was in Galilee adhered to him, and ministered to him; and many other women, who had come up with him to Jerusalem.
42 Pawabha lyebhela, pipo lyali wiyandale, isiku kabula isiku Lyatule,
And, as it was the eve of preparation, which precedeth the sabbath,
43 U Yusufu wa Arimathaya ahizile pala. Alijumbe uwi Balaza uwaheshimiwaga umuntu uwatalajila utawala wa Ngulubhi husajili abhala wapi ahabhala wa Pilato, ugulabhe ubili ugwa Yesu.
Joseph of Ramath, an honorable counsellor, who also himself waited for the kingdom of God, came, and assuming courage, went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
44 U pilato asyiga huje lyoli tayali uYesu afwile ahakuga ola afisa aha bhuzya huje lyoli uYesu afwile.
And Pilate wondered that he should be already dead. And he called the centurion, and inquired if he had been any time dead.
45 Pawaga uwanalyoli wa afisa aluhusu uYusufu agweje ubili.
And when he learned it, he gave his body to Joseph.
46 U Yusufu ali akalile umwenda. Amwisya afume pashikho bhehanyo. Apinya numwenda nahubhishe muhati mukhungwa ilyandibilye mumwamba. Ipo augulusya ingaga pahali pa mahali pakhugwa.
And Joseph bought fine linen, and took it down, and wrapped it in the linen, and deposited it in a sepulchre that was hewed in a rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the sepulchre.
47 U Maliya Magdalena na Maliya unyina wakwe uYose bhahalola amahali pasyilwa uYesu.
And Mary Magdalena and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
