< Yohana 4 >

1 O Yesu na wamanya aje aMafalisayo bhomwezye aje amemile na bhozye ashile oYohana,
When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and immersing more disciples than John
2 (japokuwa oYesu yoyo ali sahwonzya ila awanafunzi bhakwe),
(although Jesus himself did not immerse, but his disciples),
3 afumile hu Yudea na bhale hu Galilaya.
he left Judea, and departed into Galilee.
4 Esho hwali muhimu ashilile hu Samaria.
And it was necessary for him to pass through Samaria.
5 Na afishile hunsi ye Samalia, yehwetwagasi Sikari, karibu no sehemu ela o Yakobo yapiye mwanawakwe oYusufu.
So he comes to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the place that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Eshi sima sha Yakobo shali epo. O Yesu ali alitile alengane ne safari na akhala karibu ne shi sima. Gwali muda wa gwa pasanya.
And Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore being wearied from the journey, thus was sitting on the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 Oshe oSamalia ahenzele atape menze, no Yesu abhozye, “Mpele amenze emwele.”
A woman of Samaria comes to draw water. Jesus says to her, Give me to drink.
8 Afuatanaje abhanafunzi bhakwe abhafunzi bhali bhabhalile hujini akale esholye.
For his disciples had gone away into the city so that they might buy food.
9 Ola oshe abhozya, “Shibha bhole awe wo Myahudi, kuniomba mimi mwanamke Msamaria, andabhe amenze ga mwele?” Afuatanaje Ayahudi sebhasangana na Samaria.
The Samaritan woman therefore says to him, How do thou, being Jewish, ask to drink from me, being a Samaritan woman, for Jews do not associate with Samaritans?
10 O Yesu wayanga, “Ogamenye ashipawa sha Ngolobhe, nola wahubhozya aje, 'Mpele menze, 'handawalabhile, handapiye amenze ge womi.”
Jesus answered and said to her, If thou had known the gift of God, and who it is who says to thee, Give me to drink, thou would have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 Oshe ayanga, “'Gosi sagoli nidebe lya tapile, na eshisima shitali. Obhawapate hwi Amenze ge womi?
The woman says to him, Sir, thou have not even a container, and the well is deep. From where then have thou the living water?
12 Aje awe oli gosi, ashile odaada wetu oYakobo, ola watipiye eshi sima eshi, na yeye mwenyewe na watoto wake pamoja na mifugo yake wakanywa maji ya kisima hiki?”
Are thou greater than our father Jacob who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his sons, and his livestock?
13 O Yesu wayanga, “Wawonti amwelile amenze obhapate eshomelwa nantele,
Jesus answered and said to her, Every man who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 ila omwene wenzahupele amenze ega sagaibha neshomelwa nantele. Baadaye menze gembahupele ganzabhe chemichemi yebubujiha wila wila.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will, no, not thirst into the age. But the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Ola oshe wabhozya, “Ogosi, engalabha amenze ego nkengaje olole eshomelwa, na enganje alabhe ahenze epa atape menze.”
The woman says to him, Give me this water, sir, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw out.
16 O Yesu wabhozya, “bhala kwizye olume waho, nantele uyenzaje.”
Jesus says to her, Go, call thy husband, and come here.
17 Oshe wabhozya wage, “Sendi nolume.” O Yesu wayanga, “Aje oyajile sawa, 'Aje sendi nolume;'
The woman answered and said to him, I have no husband. Jesus says to her, Thou said correctly, I have no husband.
18 afuatanaje oli nalumo wa sanu, mo wope wolinawo esalaze se lume waho. Hweli oyanjile lyoli!”
For thou have had five husbands, and he whom thou now have is not thy husband. This thou have said true.
19 Oshe wabhozya, “Ogosi aje elole ajewe oli kuwa.
The woman says to him, Sir, I perceive that thou are a prophet.
20 Yise bhetu bhaputile pigamba amwe mwiga aje Yerusalemu ndiyo sehemu ambayo awantu bhahwanzia waapute.”
Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where it is necessary to worship.
21 O Yesu ajile, “Weshe, niteshele, ensiku zihwenza nasemwaihuputa Daada huigamba eli au hu Yelusalemu.
Jesus says to her, Woman, believe me, that the hour is coming when neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem will ye worship the Father.
22 Amwe mubhantu muputa hasemuhamanye, afuatanaje ofyilwe ufuma hwa Yaudi.”
Ye worship what ye do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews.
23 Hata sheshi, ensiku zihwenza, neshi zihweli epa, nabhaihuputa Daada hu shiroho ne lyoli, afuatanaje oDaada abhanza abhantu bhabhali esho aje abhantu bhakwe bhabhahuputa.
But an hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for also the Father seeks such kind who worship him.
24 Ongolobhe weshi Roho, bhabhahuta bhahwanziwa bhaputaje hushiroho ne lyoli, afuatanaje odaada abhanza abhantu ebho bhabhahupata.”
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
25 Oshe ola abhozya, “Emenye aje Yesu ohwenza, (wohwetwa Kilisiti). Ono nayenza aitibhozya gonti.”
The woman says to him, I know that Messiah comes, he who is called Christ. When that man comes he will declare all things to us.
26 O Yesu abhozya, “Ane woyanga nane nene.”
Jesus says to her, I who speak to thee am the man.
27 Insiku ezyo abhanafunzi bhakwe bhawela. Bhope bhaswigaga yenu ali ayanga noshe, ila nomo walenjele ahubhozye, “Ohwanza yenu?” au “Yenu ayanga nawo?”
And upon this his disciples came. And they marveled that he spoke with the woman, yet no man said, What seek thou? or, Why do thou speak with her?
28 Esho oshe ola ayileha ensonta yakwe abhalile husokoni abhabhozye abhantu,
The woman therefore left her water pot, and departed into the city, and says to the men,
29 “Enzaji mwenye omuntu wambozezye enongwa zyane zyonti zyebhomba, aje egawezehana aje agabhayo Kilisiti?”
Come, see a man who told me all, as many things as I did. Is not this the Christ?
30 Bhafumile hu sokoni bhenza hwamwene.
They went out of the city, and came to him.
31 Pasanya abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalambile wajile, “Mwalimu alya eshalye.”
In the meanwhile the disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
32 ila omwene abhabhozezye, “Ane endi nashalye shasemushimenye amwe.”
But he said to them, I have food to eat that ye know not.
33 Abhanafunzi bhabhozanya, nomo waleteye ahantu hahonti alye,” Aje bhaletile?”
The disciples therefore said to each other, Did any man bring him to eat?
34 O Yesu abhabhozya, “Eshalye shane hubhombe ensongwo zyakwe omwene wantumile nakamilisye embombo yakwe.
Jesus says to them, My food is that I do the will of him who sent me, and may finish his work.
35 Aje, semuyanga, 'Bado mezi gasanu emvuna ebhabhe tayari?” Embabho enyaji amagonda shagali tayari hu mvuna!
Do ye not say, There are still four months and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are already white for harvest.
36 Omwene wavuna aposhela na wonganye amatunda gewomi we wila wila, ili aje omwane watota na wope wavuna bhasongwe pandwemo. (aiōnios g166)
And he who reaps receives a wage and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Afuatanaje enjango ene ye lyoli, 'Omomo atotile awamwabho ayawila.'
For in this the saying is true, One is who sows, and another who reaps.
38 Nabhatumile avune hasemwambeleye, Wamo bhabhombile embombo namwe mwinjiehulishimo lwe mbombo yabho.”
I sent you to reap what ye have not labored. Others have labored, and ye have entered into their labor.
39 Asamaria abhinji munsi ela bhamwetesheye afwatane ne taarifa ele yashe wayangaga enongwa zyonti zyanabhombile.”
And many of the Samaritans from that city believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, He told me all, as many things as I did.
40 Shesho Asamaria bhahenzele bhahenzebhalambile aje akhale pamo na bhahale ahakhala hwa bhene ensiku kuni na mbili.
So when the Samaritans came to him they asked him to remain with them, and he remained there two days.
41 Abhinji bhonti bhamweteshela alengane ni izu lyakwe.
And many more believed because of his word.
42 Bhabhozya ola oshe, “Tihweteshela sio aje hunongwa zyaho, afuatanaje ate tete tomvwezye, na esauti tihwelewa aje lyoli ono fyozi we nsi.”
And they said to the woman, We no longer believe because of thy speaking, for we have heard ourselves, and know that this really is the Savior of the world, the Christ.
43 Baada ye nsiku ezyo zibhele, asogoye na bhale hu Galilaya.
And after the two days he departed from there and went into Galilee.
44 Afuatanaje omwane yoyo atangazezye aje okuwaa saline heshima munsi yakwe yoyo.
For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own fatherland.
45 Nahenzele afume hu Galilaya, Bhahu Galilaya bhakaribisizye bhali bhalolile embombo zyonti zyabhombile hu Yelusalemu hwahwali eshikulukulu, afwataneje abhene bhahuruliye hushi kulu kulu.
So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46 Ahenzele nante hu Kana ye Galilaya ohwo hwaguzenye amenze abhe divai. Pali no afisa ambaye omwana wakwe ali winu ohwo hu Kaperanaumu.
Jesus therefore came again to Cana of Galilee where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 Na homvezye aje oYesu afumile hu Yudea na abhalile hu Galilaya, abhalile hwa Yesu na hulambe aishe aponye omwana wakwe, wakati ali karibu afwe.
This man having heard that Jesus comes out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and besought him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was going to die.
48 O Yesu nkabhozya, “Amwe nkasemloli ehalama na mahajabu semuwezizye ahweteshele.
Jesus therefore said to him, Unless ye may see signs and wonders, ye will, no, not believe.
49 Olongozi ahayanga, “Gosi iha pansi omwana wane sali seele nafwe.”
The nobleman says to him, Sir, come down before my child dies.
50 O Yesu ahabhozya, “Bhalaga omwana waho mwomi.” Ola omuntu aheteshela izu lyayanjile oYesu wabhala wahwisogolela.
Jesus says to him, Go, thy son lives. And the man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and he departed.
51 Lwali ahwiha, abhomba mbombo bhakwe bhaposheye na hubhozye omwana waho ali mwomi.
And as he was now going down, his bondmen met him and reported, saying, Thy boy lives.
52 Esho wabhabhozya muda nshi ou nafuu. Bhajibu, “Igamo umuda gwesa saba ehoma ehamalishe.”
So he inquired of them the hour in which he fared well. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 Eshi ogosi bhakwe ahamanya aje umuda gwagula oYesu gwayanjile, “Mwana waho mwomi.” Esho omwene ne familia yakwe bhaheteshela.
So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, Thy son lives. And he himself believed and his whole house.
54 Ene yali halama yabhele yabhombile oYesu afumile hu Yudea abhale hu Galilaya.
This again is a second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
