< Abhagalatia 2 >
1 Afume amaha kuminanne na bhabile habhili muYerusalemu peka nu Barnaba. Pia nahamwejihe u Tito nabhalile pipo Ungulubhi ayimanyisishye huline aje ihwanziwa imbale.
Fourteen years later I went up to Jerusalem again, with Barnabas, and took Titus also with me
2 Nahabhishile mwilongolela lyabhoizwi lye mlumbileye hubhantu abhinsi. (Lelo na yinje hwa hwifise yalolosya jobhalongozi kamili). Nabho mbile iishi aje imanye aje sinshimbila pamo senashimbiye lwene.
(I went up at that time in obedience to a revelation). And I laid before them the gospel which I am wont to preach among the Gentiles. I did this privately before those in authority, lest by any means I should be running, or should already have run, in vain.
3 Lelo hata yu Tito, ahali peka nani, yahali mu yahali Muyunani, alazimisizwe atahiliwe.
But although Titus, my companion, was a Greek, they did not compel even him to be circumcised.
4 Ijambo ili lyahafumiye pipo ya holo abhilenga bhebhahinzile hufiso apelelezye uwabhushe wetulinawo mwa Kiristi Yesu. Bhanyonyilwe aje tibhe bhatumwa bhindajizyo.
Yet there were false brethren who had crept in to spy out the freedom we enjoy in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us again.
5 Setwa yifumizye hubhitishe hata hwi saa lyeka, huje izwi ilyilyoli lisyale bila agahuhake humwuyu.
To them we did not yield submission even for an hour, in order that the truth of the gospel might abide unshaken among you.
6 Lelo bhala bhebhayangwilwe aje bhahali bhalongozi sebhasanjiye hohonti huline honti hebhobho mbaga seshali shi maana huline. Ungulubhi sahwitiha uupendeleo wa bhanadamu.
But those in authority - what they once were makes no difference to me; God is no respecter of persons - those I say who were in authority had no additions to make my message.
7 Pamandi bhahandola initihwilwe alumbilile izwi hubhala bhesaga bhatahililwe. Ihali ndeshe u Petro alumbilile izwi hwa bhalasaga bhatahililwe.
On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter has with the gospel for the circumcised
8 Ungulubhi yayibhombile imbombo muhati uwa Petro hwa tumwa bhebhatahililwe ahabhombile imbombo hati yani na mubhantu abha munsi.
(for he who has equipped Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised, equipped me also for the apostleship to the Gentiles),
9 Lula u Yakobo, nu Yohani, nu Kefa, bhaloleshe aje bhahazenjile ishibhanza, bhahaminye uwene wenapewilwe ani bhatiposhile hushibanza ani nu Barnaba. Bhahabhombilishi aje tibhale hubhantu abha munsi nkebhabhale hubhala bhebhatahiliwilwe.
and when they recognized the grace which had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, then thought to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and to me the right hand of fellowship. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the Jews.
10 Tena bhatwanzile ati hubhakumbushe apina nani wayonahasungwizye abhombe imbombo iyo.
They stipulated only that we should remember the poor, which very thing indeed I was quite eager to do.
11 U Kefa na ahinza huAntiokia, nahankhanile waziwazi pipo ahakosiye.
But when Cephas came to Antioch I resisted him to his face, because he stood self-condemned.
12 Kabla yi bhantu bhano afume hwa Yakobo na bhantu bhinsi. Lakini abhantu bhala ne bhahinza ahaleshile na sogole afume hwa bhantu abhinsi. Ahogopaga abhantu bhebha hwanza itohala.
For until certain men came from James he used to eat with the Gentile Christians, but when they came, he began to draw back and to separate himself, because he was afraid of the circumcision party.
13 Tena Abhayahudi bhamo bhaha bhwagana nubhunafiki peka nu Kefa. Amatoke gahaliishi hata yu Barnaba ahinjiye mubhunafiki uwo.
And the rest of the Jewish Christians also dissimulated with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.
14 Lakini lwenalolaje sebhalifwata ibhangili ilyi lyoli nahamuzizye u Kefa pamaso gabho bhonti amwe nke mwe Bhayahudi, mlinitabia zya bhantu bhi mataifa badala yi tabia zyi shiyahudi?”
But when I saw that they were not walking a straight path, in the presence of the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all. "If you, although you are a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, why do you try to compel the Gentiles to become Jews?
15 Ati twebhayahudi apapwe se bhantu bhi insi abhi mbibhi”
"We are Jews by birth, and not ‘Gentile sinners’;
16 mmanye aje numo yabhaziwa ilyoli humatendo gisheria. Badala yakwe bhabhaziwa ilyoli muhati mwa Yesu Kilisti, twahonzile nulwitiho muhati mwa Yesu Kristu. Ili huje tibhaziwe ilyoli hulwitiho muhati mwa Yesu na siyo amatendo gi shelia. Humatendo gishelia nagumo umbili gwewayabhaziwa ilyoli.
"yet because we know that no man is justified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we ourselves also have put our faith in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law; for "By the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified."
17 Lakini nike tihumwanza Ungulubhi atibhazizye ilyoli, muhati mwa Kilisti tiyilola tiniti aje tilini mbibhi, je uKilisti abhombilwe ntumwa wimbibhi? Seshi nisho!
But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves also have been found to be sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? Far from it!
18 Nkenazenga usubhilo gwani adime ishelia isubhuli lyenaluyu injilolesya nini aje imvunza ishelia.
For if I am rebuilding the very things which I destroyed, I am proving myself a transgressor.
19 Asilile musheha mfwiye mushelia kwahiyo uhwanziwa akhale munyobhe zya Ngulubhi.
For it is through law I died to law, in order to live to God.
20 Injimbihe peka nu Yesu. Senini habhili yikhala ila yu Yesu akhala muhati muline. Amaisha giakala aga mumbili inkhala hulwitiho. Muhati mwa Ngulubhi ya ngiine ani ahayifumya kwajili yaline.
I have been crucified with Christ, so it is no longer I who am living, but it is Christ who is living in me; and the life I am now living in the flesh, I am living in faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
21 Tejelezya uweene wa Ngulubhi nkushele ilyoli yaliho ashilile nasi uYesu handi afwiye bure.
I do not annul the grace of God; for if righteousness comes by way of the Law, then indeed Christ died Christ for nothing.
