1 U Paulo umutume wa Yesu kristi sha hwanza Ungolobhe, sawasawa nu Ngolobhe shahaidile uwomi uuli mhati ya Kristi Yesu,
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, according to the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus,

to Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

6 Eshi ane uhuhuzusya azinjizye ishipaji sha Ngolobhe shishileho mhati lyaho hwi idala lyaweshelwe inyowe zyane.
For this cause, I remind you that you should stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 Uno Ungolobhe sanga ahatupiye impepo lya wonga, ila ngingovu na yilugano ni shinshi.
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.
8 Awe usahailolele insoni yahunyanje uBwana wentu, nu wahuline ane ni Paulo impinyilwe nao. Huje indeho humalawa yii inzwi sawasawa ni ingovu zya Ngolobhe.
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God,
9 Yu Ngolobhe yatukomboye na hulukwizye huu winto ugolosu. Saga ahawombile esho afuatane ni mbombo izyentu ila alengane nuweene na umupango ugwanke yonyo. Ahatupiye amambo ego hwa Kristi Yesu ghangasele omasala ahuenze. (aiōnios g166)
who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, (aiōnios g166)
10 Lakini eshi ukombolwe wa Ngolobhe ulipa zelu uwahwenze umlokozi wenti uKristi Yesu. U Kristi yakomesha ufye na alente uwomi wasanga uduga huu zelu winzwi.
but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News.
11 Aje ane nahasaluliwe awe nombelelo, mtume na umwalimu.
For this, I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher.
12 Ane ilawa nantele, ila sagailola insoni maana imenye umwene yamkombonye. Isimisizye aje umwene alini ngovu huhatunzye hala hahaweshele kwa ajili ya isiku lila.
For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.
13 Uyuzushe ifwano yi nongwa ya ugolosu uuhovyezye afume huline. Peka nu lweteho na ulugano ulelo mhanti ya Kristi Yesu.
Hold the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 Gaweshe amambo aminza gapelile Ungolobhe ashilile upepo ufinjile uhale mhanti yetu.
That good thing which was committed to you, guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
15 Umenye aje wonti wawakhala huu Asia wahaleshile. Hwikundi eli waleho Figelo nu Hemogene.
This you know, that all who are in Asia turned away from me; of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 U Bwana aisajile inyumba ya Onesiforo amasala minchi ahanghelezezye sanga ahandoleye insoni umnyololo gwane.
May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain,
17 Badala yakwe lwahali hu Roma ahanazile hani na ahanajile.
but when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently, and found me
18 Ungolobhe amwavyaje apele irehema afume humwakwe isiku lila. Umwene ananavyinze lwanahali hwa Efeso, awe umenye shinza.
(the Lord grant to him to find the Lord's mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.
