1 Simoni Peturo, Utumwi na tumwa owa Yesu Kilisti hwabhala bhambilile ololezyo lulola olwemonde nashi satahambilile ate, ololesyo lwali mhati mlyoli eya Ngolobhi ofwozi wetu OYesu Kilisti.
Symeon Peter, a servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ, to them who have obtained like precious faith with us, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Owene ubhe hulimwe owinza wojelole ashelelee enjele enzya Ngolobhi no Gosi wetu oYesu Kilisti.
Favor and peace be multiplied to you, through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
3 Ashelelee enjele ezya Ngolobhi zyajile enongwa zyekwe zyoti aeje oputi owesiku, Atume hwa Ngolobhi yatikwizi zye hu winza tutumle hwakwe.
As his divine power has gifted to us all things which are necessary to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us to glory and virtue.
4 Hwidala eli asobhezyezye nantele nakazye evintu abhambile eli nantele atibheshe bhagali hulisi zya Ngolobhe. Shatihwendelela azileshe embibhi ezyamusi ene.
On account of which, the greatest and most precious promises are freely given to us, that by these we might be made partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world, through lust.

And for this very reason, indeed, giving all diligence, add to your faith, courage; and to courage, knowledge;

and to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness;
7 Ashilile outauwa lugano olwa holo na shililo olugano olwaholo, nolugano.
and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love:
8 Nkashile enongwa ezi zi hweli muhati mwenyu, nkamuhwedelela akulemuhali mwenyu eshi amwe saga mbhe sembhe bhantu bhasepapa amadondolo nantele enjile ezye gosi wetu oYesu Kristi.
for these things being in you, and abounding, make you to be neither slothful, nor unfruitful, in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Nantele wawoli yasagali nenongwaezi, azilola eviluvili pepe wene, omwene sagalola ayewelwe alyozyo lwembibhi zya kwa hale.
But he who has not these things, is blind, shutting his eyes, having become forgetful of the purification of his old sins.
10 Eshi mwaholobhane mbombo ahwiyomezwe nantele ohwiyenye oteule no kwizwo hwajili yetu nkashele mubhombe ego sagamubhabomele.
Wherefore, the rather, brethren, earnestly endeavor to make your calling and election sure; for doing these things, you shall never fall;
11 Esho mbhahwipele evinji hundwango ogwahwijilelile mwa mwene owilawila hwa gosi wetu nofyozi oYesu Kilisti. (aiōnios g166)
and thus there shall be richly ministered to you, an entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Eshi ane embabhehani abhakombosye engwa ezyo wila hata nkashele mgamenye, neshi mlishinza ashilile hulyoli.
Wherefore, I will not neglect to put you always in remembrance of these things, although you know, and are established in the present truth.
13 Esebhaje endishinza abha damzye na bhakombosya juu yenogwa ene, sudi sehwi nantele mwihenje eli.
Yes, I think it fit, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up, by putting you in remembrance;
14 Nantele emenye aje esikundodo ebusongole ihenje lyane nashi ogosi oYesu Kilisti sandanjile.
knowing, that the putting off of this, my tabernacle, is soon to happen, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has showed me.
15 Embajenzye nanali hwajili mkomboshe enongwa ezyo nkashile ane nasogola.
Therefore, I will carefully endeavor that you may be able, after my decease, to have these things always in remembrance.
16 Nkashi atesagatafwatile embagulwe zyazya hinjie nu sitadi pala patabhabholele juu ya nguvu na hwibhonesya hwa Gosi wetu oYesu Kilisti nantele atali bhashahidi owa hwitutamle hwakwe.
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his grandeur;
17 Omwene ahambilile otutumsane heshima afume hwa Ngolobhe baba pala izu hovwelwe afume hwa tutamu gosi uyanyile. Ono mwana wane yegene nantele ganewane yesangwelwe tee.”
for when he received from God the Father honor and glory, a vice to this effect came to him from the magnificent glory, "This is my Son, the beloved, in whom I delight."
18 Tahovwe zyeizu eli palifuma humwanya pala patahali nawo hula hwigamba elinza.
And this voice we heard come from heaven, being with him on the holy mountain:
19 Abalyo hwelyo mubhomba shinza alenganye, nashi okhozyo palukhozya enkisi paka pahusha huntondwe zyazibhonehana mazasha zwazibhaneha humoyo genyu.
so we have the prophetic word more firm; to which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, till the day dawn, and the morning star arise in your hearts.
20 Mmanye ega aje naumo okuwa wasimbwa hunsebho senbho hukuwa yoyo.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy brought by the will of man;
21 Nantenamo okwa yahezeleda lya bhatu pewilwe Ompepo Fijiliya yajile fume hwa Ngolobhe.
but the holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
