1 Sheshi entumi esalezi nezi hale, bholo hagamne haja eyabhandishile abhantu hohoti amwenyu.
However, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write to you:
2 Hwahuje mwemwe mmenye ahwenza ongonsi nashi omwibha nusiku.
for yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.
3 Pala pavayinga apinza na pinza pagahwenza amabhibhi gabhenzela nanali, nashi guhumwenzela omaye wali ni vyanda abhantu sagabhaipona hwidala lyolyoti.
When they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 Lelo bhaholobhane sagamlimnginsi hatalyenze insiku nashi ahweenza umwibha.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should come upon you like a thief.
5 Hwa huje amwe mwenti mli bhana bhasihozwo nantele mlibhana bhapasanya nantele sagatili bhana bha musiku wala mnginsi.
You are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not sons of night, nor of darkness.
6 Eesho tinganje gonele nashi wamo sabha gonera tibhanje masho nantele bhasovu.
Therefore, let us not sleep, even as others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they who sleep, sleep in the night; and they who get drunk, get drunk in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 Hwahuje Ungolobhe sagatisaluye huwandilo hujeali nenkuniii, hwahuje tipete ahwaushe hwidalaelwa goosi uYesu U Kilisti.
For God has appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation, through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we may live together, with him.
10 Yuyo atifweleye huje nkatibhe masoo au tigonele talhala padwemo enawoo.
Wherefore, comfort one another, and edify each other, even as also you do.
11 Hwahuje yanganaji nazenganaji mwemwe hwa mwemwe nashi sambhomba.
Wherefore, comfort one another, and edify each other, even as also you do.

Now, we beseech you, brethren, to acknowledge them who labor among you, and who preside over you in the Lord, and instruct you;

and to esteem them very highly in love for their works' sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Tabhalajizya bhaholo mubhasunde bhala bhasaga bhabhala wolowolo bhapeli umwoyo bhabha hwizirile bhavwanji apena mntukumile hwawontie.
Moreover, we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, be of a long-suffering disposition toward all.
15 Enyaji asahabhe omuntu wawonti yasovya amabhibhi hwamabhibhi hwamntu yoyonti hwahuje bhombaji gagali minza hwamntu omo omo na bhonti.
Take care that no one return evil for evil to any one, but always pursue what is good, both toward one another and toward all.
16 Sogwanyi ensiiku zyonti.
Rejoice always.
17 Puntaji ensiku zyonti.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Salifyaji Ongolobhe hwahantu hohonte hwahuje gonti lugano lwa Ngolobhe huliwi nu Yesu U Kilisti.
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God, by Christ Jesus, concerning you.
19 Msahazimwe opepo.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Mganje hunshente onkohwa.
Despise not prophesying.
21 Lenganji amambo gonti mkhataje elinza.
Prove all things. Hold fast that which is good.
22 Mwepeshe hubhoneshelo owaubhibhi.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 Ongolobhe owalutengano abhashimizye huwogolosu opepo omwoyo vibhahwe bila sebho ahwiize hwakwe ogosi wetu uYesu Kilisti.
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole person, the spirit, and the soul, and the body, be preserved unblamable, till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Ola wabhakwizizye mwaminifu wope abhomba.
Faithful is he who has called you; who also will do it.
25 Bhaholo tipuntilaji tenti.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Bhalamhanji aholo bhonti nayailane ouzelu.
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Embabhola hwitawa lya gonsi huje ikalata eeli limanyilwe hwa holo bhoti.
I solemnly charge you by the Lord, that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.
28 Ewenee iya gonsi wetu U Yesu Kilisti abhe nate ntenti.
The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
