< 1 OPetro 2 >
1 Ishi bhishi gushenje ubhibhi wonti, akhopele, amaliwo uwivu nu uzemele.
Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,
2 Hansi abhana abhela, sungwaji izibha ilinza lya humoyo, ili muwezye akule mhati yilokole,
as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow,
3 hansi shalenjele aje Ugosi mwinza.
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 Inzaji hukwakwe wali liwe liwomi lilikhala na likhanilwe na bhantu, lelo lisaluliwe no Ngolobhe na hwamwene shoma.
Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.
5 Amwe mlihansi amawe gagali momi gaga zengwa mmwanya abhe nyumba yishimoyo, ili abhe udimi ufinjile ambalo lufumya insayilo zyetehwelwe no Ngolobhe ashilile hisa Yesu UKilisti.
You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Iizi liyanga liga, “Enya, embeshele pa Sayuni iwe lya pashenje, ekolo na lisalulilwe na shoma. Wowonti wayeteshe hwa mwene saganilola insoni.
Because it is contained in Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious. He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”
7 Esho inshinshi yenyu humwenyu amwe mumweteshe.” Lelo, “iwe lilikhanilwe na bhabhazenga, eli lifanyishe liwe lingovu lya honshenje”-
For you who believe therefore is the honour, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”
8 na, “Iwe lya bomele napakhome pa bomelele. “Abhene bhabomela bhahuli khana iizu, whalila lyabhasaluliwe analyo.
and, “a stumbling stone and a rock of offence.” For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
9 Amwe mlishigholo shishisalulililwe udimi weshemwene, taifa liafinjilwe, bhantu bha tabhale no Ngolobhe, ili mwezye ahenezye imbombo na mayele gola wabhakwizizye afume muhisi ahenze uhuzela whimayele.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
10 Amwe humwanzo sagamwali bhantu, eshi isalezi amwe mlibhantu bha Ngolobhe. Amwe sagamwaposhelee wene, eshi isalezi mposheyele wene, eshi isalezi mposheyele wene.
In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Bhaganwe imbakwizizye hansi abhajenu na bhazyongole hujime afume mntamanizyo imbovu zimbibhi ambazyo zikhanana ologo numoyo gwenyu.
Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
12 Muhanziwa mabhe ni injendo inyinza pahata papagani, hata kabhayanga aje muwombile imbombo imbibhi, bhanza mwawenye imbombo zyenyu inyinza na hunteme Ungulobhe hwisiku lyayenza.
having good behaviour amongst the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Eteha kila indajizyo zya lajizwa umwanadamu kwajili ya Gosi, nkeshe ugonsi yumwene,
Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme,
14 nkesho bhabhatabhalabhatumwilwe hubhaazbu bhawomba aminza. Afyatane aje lugano lwa Ngulobhe.
or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
15 Eshi awombe aminza mpomezwa injayo yiwalangani yibhantu bhinjele nazimo.
For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
16 Nkesho abhantu bhalibhaushe, mungajeafanye uwaushe wenyu hansi igubishilo humbibhi, Nafu mubhe bhawombibhi bha Ngulobhe.
Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
17 Tihaje hubhantu wonti. Bhasongwaji aholo. Tetemehaji hwa Ngulobhe hihaga hwa mwene.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18 Antumwa, eshimuji agosi abhenyu huheshima zyonti, saga bhagosi abhinza na apomakati, hata abhibhi.
Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
19 Kwa sababu intemo yoyonti abhamanyanaje nu vwalale lwayemba pasaga pali utabhalwe ihatiya iyakwe Ungulobhe.
For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience towards God.
20 Huli ifaida yenu yeleho hya mwanadamu awombe imbibhi na hwendelele ahwazibiwu? Eshi nkamwawomba aminza ndoo mwenze apate amalabha whalongwe ene ntemo inyinza wha Ngulobhe.
For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
21 Wheli mwakizwilwe whisabu UKilisti ayembele kwajili iyenyu abhalesheye ifananisyo kwa ajili yenyu afwate amana gakwe.
For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
22 Umwene sagawombile imbibhi, saga waloleshe ugobezi wowonti mwilomu lyakwe.
who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”
23 Umwene lwaligwaga, sagawezezezye indigo, lwayembaga, sagahogo fezye ajifumizizye mwene, hwa mwene.
When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.
24 Yuyo mwene awosezye imbibhi zyetu mbele gwakwe mwikwi, ili tisahabhe sehemu tenayimbibhi na tisahabhe sehemu tenayimbibhina iwhanziwa tihkalaje kwajili yihaki ahgomwe hwakwe amwe mponile.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
25 Wonti mwalelo atanjetanje hansi ingole yitejile, ishi isalezi muwelile wha mputi na umlinzi wiroho zyenyu.
For you were going astray like sheep; but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
