1 Hala hali awande ewandewila shila shata, shatahuvya hata hahalola na maso gituu, hala hatwa heenya, nakhonogitieu gakhata hujee izyo lyaomi.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have contemplated, and our hands have handled, concerning the living Word--
2 Na ula wuomba nakhono gituu atusimisizye pazelu natwauulola, nauyanje, nalumbilile uwomi wawilawila, owo wali hwa Dada uombesheabhonehane hulitii. (aiōnios g166)
(for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and declare to you that life which is eternal, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us; ) (aiōnios g166)
3 Hala hata halola na huunvye tuhalumbilela hulimwi antene, iishiianthele mwezye uuwngane pandwimo natii natulihanduhamohulitii nudada nu mwana wakwe uYesu uKristi.
that which we have seen and heard, we declare to you; that you also may have fellowship with us: and our fellowship truly is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
4 Tubhasimbila iga amwee ishihuje ulumojelolwitu lumalihanee.
And these things we write to you, that your joy may be complete.
5 Iizi nongwa zyatahuvua efume wamwene nawalumbilele: Unguluvhe lunkhozyo muhati yakwe inkgisii nemo.
Moreover, this is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light; we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ the Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 Khaje satuli nimbivi, tuwikhopela tuvene uwanalyolii nauumo mhati yetuu.
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 Khatulambe imbivi zitwu, umwene akamilishe lwoli ohu ohuwoshela imbivi ziitu natozye uwiwi wontii.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Khatuyangasatuwombile imbivii twaweha anilengaa umwene izyo lwa kwe naalimo mhati mlitii.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
