Осия 12
1 Ефрем пасет ветер и гоняется за восточным ветром, каждый день умножает ложь и разорение; заключают они союз с Ассуром, и в Египет отвозится елей.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind; Every day he multiplieth falsehood and violence; They make a league with Assyria, And oil is carried into Egypt.
2 Но и с Иудою у Господа суд, и Он посетит Иакова по путям его, воздаст ему по делам его.
Therefore Jehovah hath a controversy with Judah. And he will punish Jacob for his ways, And requite him according to his doings.
3 Еще во чреве матери запинал он брата своего, а возмужав, боролся с Богом.
In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his strength he contended with God;
4 Он боролся с Ангелом - и превозмог; плакал и умолял Его; в Вефиле Он нашел нас и там говорил с нами.
Yea, he contended with the angel, and prevailed; He wept, and made supplication to him. At Bethel he found him, And there he spake with us.
5 А Господь есть Бог Саваоф; Сущий - имя Его.
And Jehovah, the God of hosts, Jehovah is his name.
6 Обратись и ты к Богу твоему; наблюдай милость и суд и уповай на Бога твоего всегда.
Therefore turn thou to thy God; Observe mercy and justice, And hope in thy God always!
7 Хананеянин с неверными весами в руке любит обижать;
He is a Canaanite; in his hands are the balances of deceit; He loveth to oppress.
8 и Ефрем говорит: “однако я разбогател; накопил себе имущества, хотя во всех моих трудах не найдут ничего незаконного, что было бы грехом”.
Yet Ephraim saith, Lo, I have become rich; I have found myself substance; In all my earnings can be found no transgression in which there is guilt.
9 А Я, Господь Бог твой от самой земли Египетской, опять поселю тебя в кущах, как во дни праздника.
Yet I, Jehovah, have been thy God from the land of Egypt; I will again cause thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.
10 Я говорил к пророкам, и умножал видения, и чрез пророков употреблял притчи.
I have also spoken to the prophets, And I have given many visions, And by the prophets I have used similitudes.
11 Если Галаад сделался Авеном, то они стали суетны, в Галгалах заклали в жертву тельцов, и жертвенники их стояли как груды камней на межах поля.
Behold, Gilead is full of iniquity; Surely they have become corrupt; In Gilgal they sacrifice oxen, And their altars are like the heaps in the furrows of the field.
12 Убежал Иаков на поля Сирийские, и служил Израиль за жену, и за жену стерег овец.
Jacob fled into the country of Syria, And Israel served for a wife, And for a wife he kept sheep.
13 Чрез пророка вывел Господь Израиля из Египта, и чрез пророка Он охранял его.
By a prophet Jehovah brought up Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet was he preserved.
14 Сильно раздражил Ефрем Господа, и за то кровь его оставит на нем, и поношение его обратит Господь на него.
Ephraim hath provoked his Lord most bitterly; Therefore will he leave his blood upon him, And recompense to him his reproach.
