Второзаконие 1
1 Сии суть слова, которые говорил Моисей всем Израильтянам за Иорданом в пустыне на равнине против Суфа, между Фараном и Тофелом, и Лаваном, и Асирофом, и Дизагавом,
These [are] the words which Moses hath spoken unto all Israel, beyond the Jordan, in the wilderness, in the plain over-against Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Di-Zahab;
2 в расстоянии одиннадцати дней пути от Хорива, по дороге от горы Сеир к Кадес-Варни.
eleven days' from Horeb, the way of mount Seir, unto Kadesh-Barnea.
3 Сорокового года, одиннадцатого месяца, в первый день месяца говорил Моисей всем сынам Израилевым все, что заповедал ему Господь о них.
And it cometh to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month hath Moses spoken unto the sons of Israel according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him concerning them;
4 По убиении им Сигона, царя Аморрейского, который жил в Есевоне, и Ога, царя Васанского, который жил в Аштерофе в Едреи,
after his smiting Sihon king of the Amorite who is dwelling in Heshbon, and Og king of Bashan who is dwelling in Ashtaroth in Edrei,
5 за Иорданом, в земле Моавитской, начал Моисей изъяснять закон сей и сказал:
beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, hath Moses begun to explain this law, saying:
6 Господь, Бог наш, говорил нам в Хориве и сказал: “полно вам жить на горе сей!
'Jehovah our God hath spoken unto us in Horeb, saying, Enough to you — of dwelling in this mount;
7 обратитесь, отправьтесь в путь и пойдите на гору Аморреев и ко всем соседям их, на равнину, на гору, на низкие места и на южный край и к берегам моря, в землю Ханаанскую и к Ливану, даже до реки великой, реки Евфрата;
turn ye and journey for you, and enter the mount of the Amorite, and unto all its neighbouring places, in the plain, in the hill-country, and in the low country, and in the south, and in the haven of the sea, the land of the Canaanite, and of Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Phrat;
8 вот, Я даю вам землю сию, пойдите, возьмите в наследие землю, которую Господь с клятвою обещал дать отцам вашим, Аврааму, Исааку и Иакову, им и потомству их”.
see, I have set before you the land; go in and possess the land which Jehovah hath sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them, and to their seed after them.
9 И я сказал вам в то время: не могу один водить вас;
'And I speak unto you at that time, saying, I am not able by myself to bear you;
10 Господь, Бог ваш, размножил вас, и вот, вы ныне многочисленны, как звезды небесные;
Jehovah your God hath multiplied you, and lo, ye [are] to-day as the stars of the heavens for multitude;
11 Господь, Бог отцов ваших, да умножит вас в тысячу крат против того, сколько вас теперь, и да благословит вас, как Он говорил вам:
Jehovah, God of your fathers, is adding to you, as ye [are], a thousand times, and doth bless you as He hath spoken to you.
12 как же мне одному носить тягости ваши, бремена ваши и распри ваши?
'How do I bear by myself your pressure, and your burden, and your strife?
13 изберите себе по коленам вашим мужей мудрых, разумных и испытанных, и я поставлю их начальниками вашими.
Give for yourselves men, wise and intelligent, and known to your tribes, and I set them for your heads;
14 Вы отвечали мне и сказали: хорошее дело велишь ты сделать.
and ye answer me and say, Good [is] the thing which thou hast spoken — to do.
15 И взял я главных из колен ваших, мужей мудрых, разумных и испытанных, и сделал их начальниками над вами, тысяченачальниками, стоначальниками, пятидесятиначальниками, десятиначальниками и надзи-рателями по коленам вашим.
'And I take the heads of your tribes, men, wise and known, and I appoint them heads over you, princes of thousands, and princes of hundreds, and princes of fifties, and princes of tens, and authorities, for your tribes.
16 И дал я повеление судьям вашим в то время, говоря: выслушивайте братьев ваших и судите справедливо, как брата с братом, так и пришельца его;
And I command your judges at that time, saying, Hearkening between your brethren — then ye have judged righteousness between a man, and his brother, and his sojourner;
17 не различайте лиц на суде, как малого, так и великого выслушивайте: не бойтесь лица человеческого, ибо суд - дело Божие; а дело, которое для вас трудно, доводите до меня, и я выслушаю его.
ye do not discern faces in judgment; as the little so the great ye do hear; ye are not afraid of the face of any, for the judgment is God's, and the thing which is too hard for you, ye bring near unto me, and I have heard it;
18 И дал я вам в то время повеления обо всем, что надлежит вам делать.
and I command you, at that time, all the things which ye do.
19 И отправились мы от Хорива, и шли по всей этой великой и страшной пустыне, которую вы видели, по пути к горе Аморрейской, как повелел Господь, Бог наш, и пришли в Кадес-Варни.
'And we journey from Horeb, and go [through] all that great and fearful wilderness which ye have seen — the way of the hill-country of the Amorite, as Jehovah our God hath commanded us, and we come in unto Kadesh-Barnea.
20 И сказал я вам: вы пришли к горе Аморрейской, которую Господь, Бог наш, дает нам;
'And I say unto you, Ye have come in unto the hill-country of the Amorite, which Jehovah our God is giving to us;
21 вот, Господь, Бог твой, отдает тебе землю сию, иди, возьми ее во владение, как говорил тебе Господь, Бог отцов твоих, не бойся и не ужасайся.
see, Jehovah thy God hath set before thee the land; go up, possess, as Jehovah, God of thy fathers, hath spoken to thee; fear not, nor be affrighted.
22 Но вы все подошли ко мне и сказали: пошлем пред собою людей, чтоб они исследовали нам землю и принесли нам известие о дороге, по которой идти нам, и о городах, в которые идти нам.
'And ye come near unto me, all of you, and say, Let us send men before us, and they search for us the land, and they bring us back word [concerning] the way in which we go up into it, and the cities unto which we come in;
23 Слово это мне понравилось, и я взял из вас двенадцать человек, по одному человеку от каждого колена.
and the thing is good in mine eyes, and I take of you twelve men, one man for a tribe.
24 Они пошли, взошли на гору и дошли до долины Есхол, и обозрели ее;
'And they turn and go up to the hill-country, and come in unto the valley of Eshcol, and spy it,
25 и взяли в руки свои плодов земли и доставили нам, и принесли нам известие и сказали: хороша земля, которую Господь, Бог наш, дает нам.
and they take with their hand of the fruit of the land, and bring down unto us, and bring us back word, and say, Good is the land which Jehovah our God is giving to us.
26 Но вы не захотели идти и воспротивились повелению Господа, Бога вашего,
'And ye have not been willing to go up, and ye provoke the mouth of Jehovah your God,
27 и роптали в шатрах ваших и говорили: Господь, по ненависти к нам, вывел нас из земли Египетской, чтоб отдать нас в руки Аморреев и истребить нас;
and murmur in your tents, and say, In Jehovah's hating us He hath brought us out of the land of Egypt, to give us into the hand of the Amorite — to destroy us;
28 куда мы пойдем? братья наши расслабили сердце наше, говоря: народ тот более, многочисленнее и выше нас, города там большие и с укреплениями до небес, да и сынов Енаковых видели мы там.
whither are we going up? our brethren have melted our heart, saying, A people greater and taller than we, cities great and fenced to heaven, and also sons of Anakim — we have seen there.
29 И я сказал вам: не страшитесь и не бойтесь их;
'And I say unto you, Be not terrified, nor be afraid of them;
30 Господь, Бог ваш, идет перед вами; Он будет сражаться за вас, как Он сделал с вами в Египте, пред глазами вашими,
Jehovah your God, who is going before you — He doth fight for you, according to all that He hath done with you in Egypt before your eyes,
31 и в пустыне сей, где, как ты видел, Господь, Бог твой, носил тебя, как человек носит сына своего, на всем пути, которым вы проходили до пришествия вашего на сие место.
and in the wilderness, where thou hast seen that Jehovah thy God hath borne thee as a man beareth his son, in all the way which ye have gone, till your coming in unto this place.
32 Но и при этом вы не верили Господу, Богу вашему,
'And in this thing ye are not stedfast in Jehovah your God,
33 Который шел перед вами путем - искать вам места, где остановиться вам, ночью в огне, чтобы указывать вам дорогу, по которой идти, а днем в облаке.
who is going before you in the way to search out to you a place for your encamping, in fire by night, to shew you in the way in which ye go, and in a cloud by day.
34 И Господь Бог услышал слова ваши, и разгневался, и поклялся, говоря:
'And Jehovah heareth the voice of your words, and is wroth, and sweareth, saying,
35 никто из людей сих, из сего злого рода, не увидит доброй земли, которую Я клялся дать отцам вашим;
Not one of these men of this evil generation doth see the good land which I have sworn to give to your fathers,
36 только Халев, сын Иефонниин, увидит ее; ему дам Я землю, по которой он проходил, и сынам его, за то, что он повиновался Господу.
save Caleb son of Jephunneh — he doth see it, and to him I give the land on which he hath trodden, and to his sons, because that he hath been fully after Jehovah.
37 И на меня прогневался Господь за вас, говоря: и ты не войдешь туда;
'Also with me hath Jehovah been angry for your sake, saying, Also, thou dost not go in thither;
38 Иисус, сын Навин, который при тебе, он войдет туда; его утверди, ибо он введет Израиля во владение ею;
Joshua son of Nun, who is standing before thee, he goeth in thither; him strengthen thou; for he doth cause Israel to inherit.
39 дети ваши, о которых вы говорили, что они достанутся в добычу врагам, и сыновья ваши, которые не знают ныне ни добра ни зла, они войдут туда, им дам ее, и они овладеют ею;
'And your infants, of whom ye have said, For a prey they are, and your sons who have not known to-day good and evil, they go in thither, and to them I give it, and they possess it;
40 а вы обратитесь и отправьтесь в пустыню по дороге к Чермному морю.
and ye, turn for yourselves, and journey toward the wilderness, the way of the Red Sea.
41 И вы отвечали тогда и сказали мне: согрешили мы пред Господом, Богом нашим, пойдем и сразимся, как повелел нам Господь, Бог наш. И препоясались вы, каждый ратным оружием своим, и безрассудно решились взойти на гору.
'And ye answer and say unto me, We have sinned against Jehovah; we — we go up, and we have fought, according to all that which Jehovah our God hath commanded us; and ye gird on each his weapons of war, and ye are ready to go up into the hill-country;
42 Но Господь сказал мне: скажи им: не всходите и не сражайтесь, потому что нет Меня среди вас, чтобы не поразили вас враги ваши.
and Jehovah saith unto me, Say to them, Ye do not go up, nor fight, for I am not in your midst, and ye are not smitten before your enemies.
43 И я говорил вам, но вы не послушали и воспротивились повелению Господню и по упорству своему взошли на гору.
'And I speak unto you, and ye have not hearkened, and provoke the mouth of Jehovah, and act proudly, and go up into the hill-country;
44 И выступил против вас Аморрей, живший на горе той, и преследовали вас так, как делают пчелы, и поражали вас на Сеире до самой Хормы.
and the Amorite who is dwelling in that hill-country cometh out to meet you, and they pursue you as the bees do, and smite you in Seir — unto Hormah.
45 И возвратились вы и плакали пред Господом: но Господь не услышал вопля вашего и не внял вам.
'And ye turn back and weep before Jehovah, and Jehovah hath not hearkened to your voice, nor hath he given ear unto you;
46 И пробыли вы в Кадесе много времени, сколько времени вы там были.
and ye dwell in Kadesh many days, according to the days which ye had dwelt.
