3-я Царств 20
1 Венадад, царь Сирийский, собрал все свое войско, и с ним были тридцать два царя, и кони и колесницы, и пошел, осадил Самарию и воевал против нее.
And Ben-Hadad king of Aram has gathered all his force, and thirty-two kings [are] with him, and horse and chariot, and he goes up and lays siege against Samaria, and fights with it,
2 И послал послов к Ахаву, царю Израильскому, в город,
and sends messengers to Ahab king of Israel, to the city,
3 и сказал ему: так говорит Венадад: серебро твое и золото твое - мои, и жены твои и лучшие сыновья твои - мои.
and says to him, “Thus said Ben-Hadad: Your silver and your gold are mine, and your wives and your sons—the best—are mine.”
4 И отвечал царь Израильский и сказал: да будет по слову твоему, господин мой царь: я и все мое твое.
And the king of Israel answers and says, “According to your word, my lord, O king: I [am] yours, and all that I have.”
5 И опять пришли послы и сказали: так говорит Венадад: я послал к тебе сказать: “серебро твое, и золото твое, и жен твоих, и сыновей твоих отдай мне”;
And the messengers turn back and say, “Thus spoke Ben-Hadad, saying, Surely I sent to you, saying, Your silver, and your gold, and your wives, and your sons, you give to me;
6 поэтому я завтра, к этому времени, пришлю к тебе рабов моих, чтобы они осмотрели твой дом и домы служащих при тебе, и все дорогое для глаз твоих взяли в свои руки и унесли.
for if, at this time tomorrow, I send my servants to you, then they have searched your house, and the houses of your servants, and it has been [that] every desirable thing of your eyes they place in their hand, and have taken [them] away.”
7 И созвал царь Израильский всех старейшин земли и сказал: замечайте и смотрите, он замышляет зло; когда он присылал ко мне за женами моими, и сыновьями моими, и серебром моим, и золотом моим, я ему не отказал.
And the king of Israel calls to all [the] elderly of the land and says, “Please know and see that this [one] is seeking evil, for he sent to me for my wives, and for my sons, and for my silver, and for my gold, and I did not withhold from him.”
8 И сказали ему все старейшины и весь народ: не слушай и не соглашайся.
And all the elderly and all the people say to him, “Do not listen, nor consent.”
9 И сказал он послам Венадада: скажите господину моему царю: все, о чем ты присылал в первый раз к рабу твоему, я готов сделать, а этого не могу сделать. И пошли послы и отнесли ему ответ.
And he says to the messengers of Ben-Hadad, “Say to my lord the king, All that you sent to your servant for at the first I do, and this thing I am not able to do”; and the messengers go and take him back word.
10 И прислал к нему Венадад сказать: пусть то и то сделают мне боги, и еще больше сделают, если праха Самарийского достанет по горсти для всех людей, идущих за мною.
And Ben-Hadad sends to him and says, “Thus the gods do to me, and thus do they add, if the dust of Samaria suffice for handfuls for all the people who [are] at my feet.”
11 И отвечал царь Израильский и сказал: скажите: пусть не хвалится подпоясывающийся, как распоясывающийся.
And the king of Israel answers and says, “Speak: Do not let him who is girding on boast himself as him who is loosing [his armor].”
12 Услышав это слово, Венадад, который пил вместе с царями в палатках, сказал рабам своим: осаждайте город. И они осадили город.
And it comes to pass at the hearing of this word—and he is drinking, he and the kings, in the shelters—that he says to his servants, “Set yourselves”; and they set themselves against the city.
13 И вот, один пророк подошел к Ахаву, царю Израильскому, и сказал: так говорит Господь: видишь ли все это большое полчище? вот, Я сегодня предам его в руку твою, чтобы ты знал, что Я Господь.
And behold, a certain prophet has come near to Ahab king of Israel and says, “Thus said YHWH: Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I am giving it into your hand today, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
14 И сказал Ахав: чрез кого? Он сказал: так говорит Господь: чрез слуг областных начальников. И сказал Ахав: кто начнет сражение? Он сказал: ты.
And Ahab says, “By whom?” And he says, “Thus said YHWH: By the young men of the heads of the provinces”; and he says, “Who directs the battle?” And he says, “You.”
15 Ахав счел слуг областных начальников, и нашлось их двести тридцать два; после них счел весь народ, всех сынов Израилевых, семь тысяч.
And he inspects the young men of the heads of the provinces, and they are two hundred and thirty-two, and after them he has mustered all the people, all the sons of Israel—seven thousand,
16 И они выступили в полдень. Венадад же напился допьяна в палатках вместе с царями, с тридцатью двумя царями, помогавшими ему.
and they go out at noon, and Ben-Hadad is drinking—drunk in the shelters, he and the kings, the thirty-two kings helping him.
17 И выступили прежде слуги областных начальников. И послал Венадад, и донесли ему, что люди вышли из Самарии.
And the young men of the heads of the provinces go out at the first, and Ben-Hadad sends, and they declare to him, saying, “Men have come out of Samaria.”
18 Он сказал: если за миром вышли они, то схватите их живыми, и если на войну вышли, также схватите их живыми.
And he says, “If they have come out for peace, catch them alive; and if they have come out for battle, catch them alive.”
19 Вышли из города слуги областных начальников, и войско за ними.
And these have gone out of the city—the young men of the heads of the provinces—and the force that [is] after them,
20 И поражал каждый противника своего; и побежали Сирияне, а Израильтяне погнались за ними. Венадад же, царь Сирийский, спасся на коне с всадниками.
and each strikes his man, and Aram flees, and Israel pursues them, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram escapes on a horse—and the horsemen;
21 И вышел царь Израильский, и взял коней и колесниц, и произвел большое поражение у Сириян.
and the king of Israel goes out, and strikes the horses, and the charioteers, and has struck among the Arameans a great striking.
22 И подошел пророк к царю Израильскому и сказал ему: пойди, укрепись, и знай и смотри, что тебе делать, ибо по прошествии года царь Сирийский опять пойдет против тебя.
And the prophet comes near to the king of Israel and says to him, “Go, strengthen yourself, and know and see that which you do, for at the turn of the year the king of Aram is coming up against you.”
23 Слуги царя Сирийского сказали ему: Бог их есть Бог гор, а не Бог долин, поэтому они одолели нас; если же мы сразимся с ними на равнине, то верно одолеем их.
And the servants of the king of Aram said to him, “Their gods [are] gods of hills, therefore they were stronger than us; and yet, we fight with them in the plain—are we not stronger than they?
24 Итак вот что сделай: удали царей, каждого с места его, и вместо них поставь областеначальников;
And this thing you do: turn aside each of the kings out of his place, and set captains in their stead;
25 и набери себе войска столько, сколько пало у тебя, и коней, сколько было коней, и колесниц, сколько было колесниц; и сразимся с ними на равнине, и тогда верно одолеем их. И послушался он голоса их и сделал так.
and you, number for yourself a force as the force that is fallen from you, and horse for horse, and chariot for chariot, and we fight with them in the plain; are we not stronger than they?” And he listens to their voice, and does so.
26 По прошествии года Венадад собрал Сириян и выступил к Афеку, чтобы сразиться с Израилем.
And it comes to pass at the turn of the year, that Ben-Hadad inspects the Arameans, and goes up to Aphek, to battle with Israel,
27 Собраны были и сыны Израилевы и, взяв продовольствие, пошли навстречу им. И расположились сыны Израилевы станом пред ними, как бы два небольшие стада коз, а Сирияне наполнили землю.
and the sons of Israel have been inspected, and supported, and go to meet them, and the sons of Israel encamp before them, like two flocks of goats, and the Arameans have filled the land.
28 И подошел человек Божий, и сказал царю Израильскому: так говорит Господь: за то, что Сирияне говорят: “Господь есть Бог гор, а не Бог долин”, Я все это большое полчище предам в руку твою, чтобы вы знали, что Я - Господь.
And a man of God comes near, and speaks to the king of Israel and says, “Thus said YHWH: Because that the Arameans have said, YHWH [is] God of [the] hills, but He [is] not God of [the] valleys—I have given the whole of this great multitude into your hand, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
29 И стояли станом одни против других семь дней. В седьмой день началась битва, и сыны Израилевы поразили сто тысяч пеших Сириян в один день.
And they encamp opposite one another [for] seven days, and it comes to pass on the seventh day, that the battle draws near, and the sons of Israel strike one hundred thousand footmen of Aram in one day.
30 Остальные убежали в город Афек; там упала стена на остальных двадцать семь тысяч человек. А Венадад ушел в город и бегал из одной внутренней комнаты в другую.
And those left flee to Aphek, into the city, and the wall falls on twenty-seven chief men who are left, and Ben-Hadad has fled, and comes into the city, into the innermost part.
31 И сказали ему слуги его: мы слышали, что цари дома Израилева цари милостивые; позволь нам возложить вретища на чресла свои и веревки на головы свои и пойти к царю Израильскому; может быть, он пощадит жизнь твою.
And his servants say to him, “Now behold, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel—that they are kind kings; please let us put sackcloth on our loins and ropes on our heads, and we go out to the king of Israel; it may be he keeps you alive.”
32 И опоясали они вретищами чресла свои и возложили веревки на головы свои, и пришли к царю Израильскому и сказали: раб твой Венадад говорит: “пощади жизнь мою”. Тот сказал: разве он жив? он брат мой.
And they gird sackcloth on their loins, and ropes [are] on their heads, and they come to the king of Israel, and say, “Your servant Ben-Hadad has said, Please let me live”; and he says, “Is he still alive? He [is] my brother.”
33 Люди сии приняли это за хороший знак и поспешно подхватили слово из уст его и сказали: брат твой Венадад. И сказал он: пойдите, приведите его. И вышел к нему Венадад, и он посадил его с собою на колесницу.
And the men observe diligently, and hurry, and catch [the word] from him, and say, “Your brother Ben-Hadad”; and he says, “Go in, bring him”; and Ben-Hadad comes out to him, and he causes him to come up on the chariot.
34 И сказал ему Венадад: города, которые взял мой отец у твоего отца, я возвращу, и площади ты можешь иметь для себя в Дамаске, как отец мой имел в Самарии. Ахав сказал: после договора я отпущу тебя. И, заключив с ним договор, отпустил его.
And he says to him, “The cities that my father took from your father, I give back, and you make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria; and I, with a covenant, send you away”; and he makes a covenant with him, and sends him away.
35 Тогда один человек из сынов пророческих сказал другому, по слову Господа: бей меня. Но этот человек не согласился бить его.
And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor by the word of YHWH, “Please strike me”; and the man refuses to strike him,
36 И сказал ему: за то, что ты не слушаешь гласа Господня, убьет тебя лев, когда пойдешь от меня. Он пошел от него, и лев, встретив его, убил его.
and he says to him, “Because that you have not listened to the voice of YHWH, behold, you are going from me, and the lion has struck you”; and he goes from him, and the lion finds him, and strikes him.
37 И нашел он другого человека, и сказал: бей меня. Этот человек бил его до того, что изранил побоями.
And he finds another man and says, “Please strike me”; and the man strikes him, striking and wounding,
38 И пошел пророк и предстал пред царя на дороге, прикрыв покрывалом глаза свои.
and the prophet goes and stands for the king on the way, and disguises himself with ashes on his eyes.
39 Когда царь проезжал мимо, он закричал царю и сказал: раб твой ходил на сражение, и вот, один человек, отошедший в сторону, подвел ко мне человека и сказал: “стереги этого человека; если его не станет, то твоя душа будет за его душу, или ты должен будешь отвесить талант серебра”.
And it comes to pass—the king is passing by—that he has cried to the king and says, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle, and behold, a man has turned aside and brings a man to me, and says, Keep this man; if he is at all missing, then your life has been for his life, or you weigh out a talent of silver;
40 Когда раб твой занялся теми и другими делами, его не стало. - И сказал ему царь Израильский: таков тебе и приговор, ты сам решил.
and it comes to pass, your servant is working here and there, and he is not!” And the king of Israel says to him, “Your judgment [is] right; you have determined [it].”
41 Он тотчас снял покрывало с глаз своих, и узнал его царь, что он из пророков.
And he hurries and turns aside the ashes from off his eyes, and the king of Israel discerns him, that he [is] of the prophets,
42 И сказал ему: так говорит Господь: за то, что ты выпустил из рук твоих человека, заклятого Мною, душа твоя будет вместо его души, народ твой вместо его народа.
and he says to him, “Thus said YHWH: Because you have sent away the man I devoted, out of [your] hand, even your life has been for his life, and your people for his people”;
43 И отправился царь Израильский домой встревоженный и огорченный, и прибыл в Самарию.
and the king of Israel goes to his house, sulky and angry, and comes to Samaria.
