1 Rena basa deꞌulakaꞌ mata-mataꞌ ra ena to? De mbei ma duꞌa mae, “Awi! Atahori naa ra deꞌulaka nara seli tebꞌe ena!” Mete ma ho duꞌa taꞌo naa ena, na, besa-bꞌesa o! Te ho o deꞌulaka ma onaꞌ naa boe. Naa de nda muꞌena totoꞌu-nonoet sa fo musulaꞌe ao ma sa, mae ho, seka. Mete ma mae, atahori laen ra deꞌulakaꞌ ma randaa hambu huku-dꞌokiꞌ, na, afiꞌ liliiꞌ, te, ho fua salaꞌ neu aom boe. Huu ho o tao salaꞌ onaꞌ naa boe.

Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man that judgest, whoever thou art. For wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

2 Huu hai bubꞌuluꞌ mae, mete ma Lamatuaꞌ hukun atahori mana tao deꞌulakaꞌ ra, na Ana naꞌetuꞌ dedꞌeat nara no ndoo-tetuꞌ.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practise such things.

3 Do, taꞌo bee? Mbei ma duꞌa mae, “Atahori mana tao deꞌulakaꞌ ra, randaa hambu huku-dꞌokiꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ.” Tao-tao te ho tao deꞌulakaꞌ onaꞌ se boe. Te duꞌa mae, “Lamatuaꞌ huku-dꞌokin nda dai au sa.” Te huun saa?

And dost thou suppose, O man, who art judging those who do such things, and art thyself doing the same, that thou wilt escape the judgment of God?

4 Lamatualain natudꞌu rala malolen neu nggo. Ma Ana naꞌatataaꞌ soꞌal tatao-nonoꞌi mara. Te taꞌo bee de mete E mendiꞌ a mata seseriꞌ? Mbei ma nda muhine mae, Ana natudꞌu rala malolen neu nggo, fo lao hela sala-kilu mara, fo baliꞌ misiꞌ E.

Or dost thou despise the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God is leading thee to repentance?

5 Te ho ia, langga fatu ma nda nau rena sa! Ma nda nau lao hela sala mara mbei sa boe! Dadꞌi no tataom ho huku-dꞌokim boe namabera. Te mete ma raefafoꞌ sambulalo, na, Lamatuaꞌ nae timba-tai basa atahori ra masodꞌa nara. Ma dei fo basa atahori rahine rae, Lamatuaꞌ nggero-furi atahori sala-kilu nara no ndoo-tetuꞌ. Leleꞌ naa, Ana hukun nggo beran seli, huu Ana nda simbo tatao-nonoꞌi mara sa.

But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou art treasuring up for thyself wrath against the day of wrath and of the manifestation of the righteous judgment of God,

6 Masodꞌam taꞌo bee, na, Lamatuaꞌ o bala-bꞌae nggo taꞌo naa boe.

who will render to every one according to his works;

7 Te attahori mana tao nakandooꞌ a dꞌala maloleꞌ ra, dei fo Ana fee se, masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda manaꞌetuꞌ sa. Sira mana simbo hadꞌa-hormat, nara maloleꞌ, ma rasodꞌa rakandoo ro E. (aiōnios g166)

everlasting life to those who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory, and honor, and incorruption; (aiōnios g166)

8 Te Lamatuaꞌ nda simbo atahori mana tao deꞌulakaꞌ ra sa. Namanasa se seli, huu rahineꞌ a balabꞌan. Ara nda tao tungga dꞌala ndoo-tetuꞌ sa, te rahine akaꞌ taoꞌ a dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ ra.

but to those who are contentious, and disobedient to the truth; but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and indignation.

9 Basa atahori mana tao deꞌulakaꞌ ra, dei fo hambu sususaꞌ ma doidꞌosoꞌ. Mae atahori Yahudi do, nda Yahudi sa o, dei fo basa se hambu.

Tribulation and distress will be upon every soul of man whose works are evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;

10 Te basa atahori mana tao dꞌala maloleꞌ ra, dei fo Lamatuaꞌ soꞌu nananaru se, ma fee se hadꞌa-hormat ma rasodꞌa no mole-dꞌame. Mae sira atahori Yahudi do, nda Yahudi sa o, basa se hambu.

but glory, honor, and peace, to every one whoso works are good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

11 Huu Lamatuaꞌ nda mete-mataꞌ sa na!

For there is no respect of persons with God.

12 Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, dai basa atahori. Naa! Mete ma hambu atahori nda rahine Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa sa, de tao salaꞌ, dei fo ana saranggaa mia Lamatualain. Ma mete ma hambu atahori bubꞌuluꞌ hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa ena, te ana tao salaꞌ, naa dei fo Lamatuaꞌ nggero-furi sala nara nendiꞌ hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa. Dei fo ara o saranggaa mia Lamatuaꞌ, huu ralena-langga neu Hohoro-lalanen.

For as many as have sinned without a law, will also perish without a law; and as many as have sinned under a law, will be judged by a law,

13 Mete ma mae malolole mo Lamatualain, nda akaꞌ renaꞌ a Hohoro-lalanen sa. Te atahori o musi tao tungga Eni Hohoro-lalanen, dei fo Ana feꞌe simbo se ena. Afiꞌ renaꞌ a!

for it is not the hearers of a law who are righteous before God, but the doers of a law will be accounted righteous; —

14 Mae atahori nda Yahudi ra sa nda rahine Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen sosoan sa o, te mia sira e hambu ruma tao tungga Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa boe. Huu rala nara mana rafadꞌe se, bee ndaa ma bee salaꞌ.

for when the gentiles, who have no law, do by nature what is required by the Law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves;

15 No taꞌo naa, ara ratudꞌu rae, Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen nenesuraꞌ sia rala nara, onaꞌ abꞌas fo Lamatuaꞌ tenu sia rala nara. Rala nara mana timba-tai saa fo sira taoꞌ ra. Ma dudꞌuꞌa nara rafadꞌe baliꞌ se mete ma ara tao salaꞌ, ma rafadꞌe se mete ma ara tao tungga ndoon.

since they show that what the Law requireth is written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts in turn accusing or defending them; —

16 De mete ma Lamatuaꞌ soꞌu Yesus Kristus dadꞌi mana nggero furi dedꞌeat, na, Ana nau paresaꞌ lutu-leloꞌ dꞌala-dꞌala maꞌafuniꞌ ra sia atahori rala nara. Au unori taꞌo naa, onaꞌ nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatuaꞌ Hara-lii Malolen.

in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to the gospel which I have preached.

17 De hei atahori Yahudi re, taꞌo bee? Hei hiiꞌ a minanaru ao mara mae, hei mesaꞌ nggi toꞌu Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen fo Ana fee neu Baꞌi Musa, to? Hei o hii olaꞌ naeꞌ soꞌal hei netonggo-nendaam mo Lamatuaꞌ

But if thou art called a Jew, and restest on the Law, and makest thy boast of God,

18 Tebꞌe! hei mihine Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun ena. Hei mihine bee maloleꞌ lenaꞌ. Hei mihine basa dalaꞌ ia ra ena, huu mesen ra ranori hei mia Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen ena.

and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the Law;

19 Hei mimihere ao mara mae, hei bisa mitudꞌu dalaꞌ soaꞌ neu atahori nda mana ritaꞌ rae bee reu sa boe. Hei tao ao mara onaꞌ manggareloꞌ mana naronda neu basa atahori mana rasodꞌa sia maꞌahatuꞌ a.

and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,

20 Huu hei toꞌu Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, de duꞌa mae mihine basaꞌ e ena, ma toꞌu mala bꞌasa ndoo-tetuꞌ ra ena, to? Naa de hei duꞌa mae bisa minori atahori nggoaꞌ ma andikiꞌ nda mana rahine saa-saa sa boe.

an instructor of those who lack wisdom, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the Law, —

21 Dadꞌi au ae utane taꞌo ia: hei hiiꞌ a minori atahori feaꞌ ra, te taꞌo bee de nda nau minori saa sa boe?! Hei hiiꞌ a hene mimber, fo parenda mae, “Afiꞌ miminaꞌo.” Te taꞌo bee de hei miminaꞌo?!

dost thou then who teachest another, not teach thyself? Thou who proclaimest that others should not steal, dost thou steal?

22 Hei minori mae, “Afiꞌ hohongge.” Te taꞌo bee de hei hohongge?! Hei nda hii tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ sosonggo-tatangguꞌ ra sa, te taꞌo bee de hei miminaꞌo sudꞌiꞌ a saa mia ume sosonggoꞌ a?!

Dost thou who forbiddest to commit adultery, thyself commit adultery? Thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou rob temples?

23 Hei olaꞌ naeꞌ soꞌal Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, te taꞌo bee de milena-langga Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa ra, ma miꞌimamaeꞌ Lamatuaꞌ taꞌo naa?!

Dost thou who boastest of the Law, dishonor God by breaking the Law?

24 Te miaꞌ doon, nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatuaꞌ Susura Meu maren oi, “Huu hei atahori Yahudi ra deꞌulaka mara to? Naa de atahori feaꞌ ra akaꞌ raꞌamuti-raꞌamuu Lamatualain nara malolen.”

For, as it is written, “the name of God is on your account blasphemed among the gentiles.”

25 Hei atahori Yahudi ra musi sunat tungga Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, to? Naa dadꞌi bukti oi, hei mana miꞌena hak simbo Lamatuaꞌ hehelu-fufulin. Te mete ma hei milena-langga neu Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, Lamatuaꞌ nda simbo nggi sa. Hei dadꞌi onaꞌ atahori nda Yahudi sa, ma onaꞌ atahori nda feꞌe nenesunat sa.

For circumcision is indeed a benefit to thee, if thou keep the Law; but if thou art a breaker of the Law, thy circumcision hath become uncircumcision.

26 Dꞌuꞌa matalolole! Huu mete ma atahori nda nenesunat sa, tao tungga Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, dei fo Lamatuaꞌ simbo e, onaꞌ atahori Yahudi nenesunat ena, to?

If then he who is uncircumcised keep the precepts of the Law, shall not he though uncircumcised be regarded as circumcised?

27 De besa-bꞌesa, o! Te mete ma atahori nda Yahudi fo nda nenesunat sa, tao tungga Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, na ara ratudꞌu saa? Ara ratudꞌu hei sala mara rae, hei atahori Yahudi mana nenesunat ra, milena-langga Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen, mae hei toꞌu Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa ra eniꞌ a lele uluꞌ a.

Yea, those who are by nature uncircumcised, if they perform the law, will judge thee, who having a written Law and circumcision, art a breaker of the Law.

28 Afiꞌ duꞌa mae, atahori mana dadꞌi baꞌi Abraham tititi-nonosin, ma nenesunat sia rou nara ena, na, naa mana tao e dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ atahorin tebꞌe ena. Hokoꞌ!

For he is not a Jew, who is one outwardly, nor is that circumcision, which is outward, in the flesh;

29 Mana tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ atahorin, naeni atahori mana maloleꞌ ro Lamatuaꞌ. Te sunat matetuꞌ a, mana tao atahori dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ anan, nda bukti siaꞌ a rouꞌ sa, te bukti sia ralaꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen taoꞌ a. Lamatuaꞌ koa atahori mataꞌ naa ra, te atahori nda koa se sa.

but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, spiritual, not literal, whose praise is not of men, but of God.
