< Roma 11 >

Taꞌo naa, do? Hokoꞌ! Te au ia mia se boe! Au ia, mia leo Benyamin. Benyamin aman, Yakob. Eni baꞌin, Isak. Isak aman, Abraham, mana dadꞌi basa atahori Israꞌel ra bei-baꞌi nara.
I ask then, has God rejected his people? Certainly not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 Lamatualain nda parna fo nae nda simbo Eni atahori nara sa. Sira ia ra, Ana nahine memaꞌ se eniꞌ a mia lele uluꞌ a. Hei feꞌe misinedꞌa, saa fo nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatuaꞌ Susura Meumaren soꞌal baꞌi Elia, to?
God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,
3 nae, “Lamatuaꞌ! Atahori ia ra tao risa mana ola-olaꞌ ra, fo Lamatuaꞌ haitua nemaꞌ ra. Ara o ofe lenggu-bara hendi mei tutunu-hohotuꞌ a, sia mamanaꞌ fo atahori beꞌutee neu Lamatuaꞌ. Mia basa Lamatuaꞌ mana ola-ola nara, akaꞌ au mesaꞌ nggo feꞌe masodꞌaꞌ. Te ara o sangga dalaꞌ fai, fo rae tao risa au!”
“Lord, they have killed yoʋr prophets and demolished yoʋr altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life”?
4 Te Lamatuaꞌ nataa nae, taꞌo ia: “Oꞌolam naa, sala! Huu Au atahori nggara mana beꞌutee neu Au, feꞌe hambu atahori rifon hitu. Ara raꞌatataaꞌ rahereꞌ, ma nda songgo-tanggu Baꞌal sa!”
But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed down to Baal.”
So then, in the present time also there is a remnant chosen by grace.
6
Now if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace. But if it is by works, it is no longer grace, otherwise work would no longer be work.
7 Dadꞌi neu mateꞌen, taꞌo ia: atahori Yahudi hetar sangga-sanggaꞌ fo Lamatualain natudꞌu Rala malolen neu se, naa fo sira bisa maloleꞌ baliꞌ ro E. Te nda nau hambu sa, huu rala nara manggateeꞌ seli de nda nau rena E sa. Te ruma hambu. Sira ia ra, Lamatuaꞌ pili nala memaꞌ ena.
What then? Israel did not obtain what it was seeking. The chosen obtained it, but the rest were hardened,
as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes not to see and ears not to hear, down to this very day.”
And David says, “Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution to them.
10 Hela neu fo mata nara maꞌahatu, fo afiꞌ rita saa-saa boe! Hela neu fo lemba-rasaa mamabꞌeraꞌ rakandooꞌ a fo nggarasa rui nara bau rukutele!”
Let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and keep their backs forever bent.”
11 Dadꞌi au ae utane taꞌo ia: taꞌo bee de atahori Yahudi ra raꞌatunu? Ara tudꞌa ena, do? Hokoꞌ! Te huu ara nda nau rena Lamatualain sa, ma nda nau ramahere neu Kristus sa, naa mana soi dalaꞌ fee atahori nda Yahudi ra sa fo hambu masoi-masodꞌaꞌ mia sala-kilu nara. No Eni tataon naa, Lamatuaꞌ nau fo atahori Yahudi ra horombala, fo ara tungga baliꞌ Eni fai.
I ask then, did the Israelites stumble so as to fall? Certainly not! Rather, by their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke Israel to jealousy.
12 Manggareloꞌ ena, atahori Yahudi ra ralena-langga ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Naeni de atahori feaꞌ mia ndule raefafoꞌ ia bisa ramedꞌa Lamatuaꞌ rala malolen boe.
Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will it mean when their full number is included?
13 Dadꞌi!
Now I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I glorify my ministry
14 Te mete ma au ulalao ue-tataos ia no maloleꞌ, seꞌu te au tao atahori Yahudi nggara horombala, losa sira ruma hambu masoi-masodꞌaꞌ mia sala-kilu nara.
if somehow I provoke my own people to jealousy and save some of them.
15 Leleꞌ Lamatuaꞌ nda simbo Eni atahori Yahudi nara sa, naa soi dalaꞌ fo atahori feaꞌ ra hambu kakaꞌeꞌ fo ara bisa masoꞌ dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ atahorin. Huu naa onaꞌ sira rasodꞌa baliꞌ mia mamate nara ena!
For if their rejection means reconciliation for the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
16 Haꞌi conto mia atahori rae tao roti. Mete ma ana haꞌi nala tarigu mbei fo fee neu Lamatuaꞌ, dei fo basa roti naa ra dadꞌi Eni enan mana meumareꞌ. Ma mete ma atahori fee Lamatuaꞌ hau sa okan esa dadꞌi bꞌoa uluꞌ, dei fo hau naa lalaꞌen dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ enan mana meumareꞌ.
If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 Au ae uꞌusasamaꞌ nusa Yahudi no hau huu saitun esa mana mori sia osi. Lamatualain tati hendi hau naa dꞌanan ruma ena. Basa ma, Lamatuaꞌ tati nala dꞌana mara ruma de tute naꞌabꞌue neu hau huuꞌ mana sia osi rala. No taꞌo naa, dꞌanaꞌ mia hau huuꞌ mana sia deaꞌ a, simbo nala masodꞌaꞌ mia hau huuꞌ mana sia ralaꞌ a. Naa onaꞌ hei atahori nda Yahudi ra sa, simbo mala Lamatuaꞌ rala malolen, fo Ana nae fee neu atahori Yahudi nara.
Now if some of the branches have been broken off, and yoʋ, a wild olive branch, have been grafted in among them and have become a fellow partaker of the root and richness of the olive tree,
18 Te besa-bꞌesa, o! Afi koao, fo duꞌa mae hei mana mia deaꞌ naa malole lenaꞌ dꞌanaꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ tati hendiꞌ ra! Mete ma mae soꞌu-soꞌu aom, afi liliiꞌ, te ho dꞌanaꞌ esa a! Ho nda mana tao maꞌadere hau huuꞌ naa sa. Te okan mana tao hau huuꞌ a maꞌadꞌere!
do not boast against the branches. But if yoʋ do boast against them, remember that yoʋ do not sustain the root, but the root sustains yoʋ.
19 Mbei ma ho mae, “Lamatuaꞌ tati hendi dꞌanaꞌ esa mia hau huuꞌ mana mori sia osin rala, fo Ana bisa tute baliꞌ au sia naa, fo nggati dꞌana mbaraaꞌ a.”
Yoʋ will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.”
20 Naa tebꞌe. Te afiꞌ liliiꞌ mae, Lamatuaꞌ tati hendi dꞌanaꞌ naa ra ena, huu ara nda ramahere Kristus sa.
Right! They were broken off because of unbelief, but yoʋ stand because of faith. So do not be arrogant, but be afraid.
For if God did not spare the natural branches, perhaps he will not spare yoʋ either.
22 Dadꞌi hei musi duꞌa malolole dei. Lamatuaꞌ naꞌena rala maloleꞌ. Te Ana o nahine fee huku-dꞌoki mamabꞌeraꞌ boe. Dei fo Ana huku-doki atahori mana tudꞌaꞌ ra, mana nda maloleꞌ ro E sa. Te soaꞌ neu atahori nda Yahudi ra sa, Lamatuaꞌ natudꞌu rala malolen neu nggi, sadꞌi hei dadꞌi esa mikindoo mo E, ma hela neu fo Ana tao maloleꞌ fee nggi. Te mete ma hei nda hela neu fo Ana tao taꞌo naa sa, Ana o nau tati hendi nggi mia Eni hau huun.
Consider therefore the kindness and severity of God: to those who have fallen, severity; but to yoʋ, kindness, if yoʋ continue in his kindness; otherwise yoʋ too will be cut off.
Huu Ana naꞌena koasa fo tao taꞌo naa!
And if they do not continue in unbelief, they will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again.
For if yoʋ were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will the natural branches be grafted back into their own olive tree?
25 Toronooꞌ mana sia Roma re! Hei musi mihine dalaꞌ ia fo feꞌesaꞌan feꞌe maꞌafuniꞌ. De mete ma basa atahori nda Yahudi ra sa fo Lamatuaꞌ tengga nalaꞌ ra ramahere Kristus ena, dei fo atahori Yahudi ra o ramahere Kristus boe.
I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation: A partial hardening has come upon Israel until the full number of Gentiles has come in,
26 Dadꞌi mete ma fain losa ena, dei fo Lamatuaꞌ fee masoi-masodꞌaꞌ neu basa atahori Yahudi mia sala-kilu nara. Naa onaꞌ mana nenesuraꞌ sia Susura Meumareꞌ a oi, “Dei fo Atahori esa nema, mana fee nggita tasodꞌa mia sosoeꞌ a. Ana nema mia lete Sion, sia kota Yerusalem. Dei fo Eni mana tao Yakob tititi-nonosi nara dꞌoaꞌ. Huu ara rasodꞌa nda taoafiꞌ neu Au sa, ara o hiruꞌ rasadꞌea Au dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetu ngga ena.
and in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion and will remove ungodliness from Jacob.”
27 Au ae fee ambon neu sala-kilu nara. Huu Au helu-fuli basa o se taꞌo naa ena.”
“And this will be my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”
28 Leleꞌ atahori Yahudi ra rena Kristus Hara-lii Malolen, ara tao ao nara onaꞌ musu mana labꞌan E. No taꞌo naa, ara fee hei atahori nda Yahudi ra sa hambu kakaꞌeꞌ! Mae taꞌo naa o, Lamatuaꞌ feꞌe sue se, huu Ana sue bei-baꞌi nara, ma tengga nala se dadꞌi atahori nara ena.
With respect to the gospel, the Israelites are enemies for your sake; but with respect to being chosen, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.
29 Huu mete ma Lamatuaꞌ fee saa esa ena, Ana nda lea nala baliꞌ sa. Ma mete ma Ana noꞌe nala atahori nae, “Wae! Ima, tungga Au! Ima dadꞌi Au atahori ngga leo!” Ana nda oi hendi se sa ena.
For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.
30 Feꞌesaꞌan, hei atahori nda Yahudi ra sa nda nau rena Lamatuaꞌ sa. Te ia naa, hei mana simbo Lamatuaꞌ susuen, huu atahori Yahudi ra mana nda nau rena E sa.
Just as you were once disobedient to God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience,
so they too have now become disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they also may receive mercy.
Ana hela taꞌo naa, fo Ana nae natudꞌu susuen neu basa atahori ra. (eleēsē g1653)
For God has confined all in disobedience so that he might have mercy on all. (eleēsē g1653)
33 Lamatualain mahinen seli! Ma Ana pake mahinen fo taoꞌ a maloleꞌ ra. Nda hambu atahori bisa rahine E no matetuꞌ sa. Nda hambu atahori rahine no matetuꞌ soꞌal Ana naꞌetuꞌ dedꞌeat sa. Nda hambu atahori esa o nahine boe sa, taꞌo bee fo Lamatuaꞌ tao dalaꞌ esa.
Oh the depth of the riches, wisdom, and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and untraceable his ways!
34 Nda hambu atahori rahine no matetuꞌ hita Lamatuan dudꞌuꞌan sa. Nda hambu esa bisa fee nenoriꞌ neu E sa.
“For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has become his counselor?”
35 Nda hambu atahori bisa fee hieꞌ saa esa neu Lamatuaꞌ sa. Nda hambu atahori bisa raꞌasusuuꞌ Lamatuaꞌ fo Ana bala-bꞌae baliꞌ se!
“Or who has first given to God, that he should be repaid?”
36 Huu basa-bꞌasaꞌ e raꞌoka sia Lamatualain! Basaꞌ e dadꞌi, huu Eni! Basa saa fo hita taoꞌ a, hita ue-tao fee neu E. Hita soꞌu kokoa-kikioꞌ soaꞌ neu E, losa doo nduꞌu-dꞌoon neu! Tebꞌe taꞌo naa! (aiōn g165)
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
