< Rae-fafo' Mata Feu' 18 >
1 Basa naa ma, au ita Lamatualain aten esa fai onda mia sorga. Ana naꞌena koasa ma rondaꞌ manaseliꞌ, de tao manggareloꞌ neu basa raefafoꞌ a.
After this I saw another angel, descending from Heaven, invested with great authority; and the earth was illuminated by his splendour.
2 Ana nafadꞌe no hara monaeꞌ nae, “Naꞌaloli ena! Naꞌaloli ena! Kota Babel naꞌaloli ena! Tudꞌa ena! Tudꞌa ena! Kota manaseliꞌ naa, tudꞌa ena! Ana dadꞌi nitu ra mamana leleon ena. Ana dadꞌi basa nitu-mula ra rae leleon. Ana dadꞌi basa mbui mana naa sisi mburuꞌ ra mamana neꞌebꞌuen. Ana dadꞌi basa banda deꞌulakaꞌ ra lalaet na.
With a mighty voice he cried — ‘She has fallen! She has fallen — Babylon the Great! She has become an abode of demons, a stronghold of every wicked spirit, a stronghold of every foul and hateful bird.
3 Ana naꞌaloli ena, huu basa nusaꞌ sia raefafoꞌ, akaꞌ rema rinu mafu eni anggor na. Ana tudꞌa ena, huu basa leo mana sia raefafoꞌ, akaꞌ rema hohongge ro kota naa atahori nara. Huu kota naa o onaꞌ mana hohonggeꞌ hiiꞌ a sangga basa maladꞌa-maladꞌa ra.”
For, after drinking the maddening wine of her licentiousness, all the nations have fallen; while all the kings of the earth have had licentious intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through the excess of her luxury.’
Basa atahori nggara e! Mela dea ima leo! Lao hela nusaꞌ naa leo! Afiꞌ tao tungga atahori nusaꞌ naa deꞌulaka nara, fo afiꞌ dai huku-doki nara.
Then I heard another voice from Heaven saying — ‘Come out of her, my People, that you may not participate in her sins, and that you may not suffer from the Curses inflicted upon her.
For her sins are heaped up to the heavens, and God has not forgotten her misdeeds.
6 De hei musi bala-bꞌae deꞌulaka nara, onaꞌ ara tao deꞌulakaꞌ neu atahori feaꞌ ra boe. Akaꞌ hei musi bala-bꞌae deꞌulaka nara, lao rua. maꞌahulun ara eꞌedꞌik atahori, fo rinu mia sanggi lilo nara manasofeꞌ no anggor doidꞌosoꞌ. Te ia naa sira musi rinu anggor doidꞌosoꞌ naa, lao rua.

7 Ara tao ao nara manaseliꞌ. Ma rananaru ao nara. Ara nauꞌ a rasodꞌa meulau-meulauꞌ. Ara hiiꞌ a maladꞌa-maladꞌaꞌ. Huu naa, ara musi hambu sususaꞌ naen seli. Dadꞌi ara musi rasodꞌa doidꞌoso. Huu feꞌesaꞌan ara olaꞌ koao onaꞌ mana hohonggeꞌ rae, ‘Au ia, Ina maneꞌ! Au nda dadꞌi ina falu sa! Au o nda nggae ei-ei sa. Au nda pake bꞌua sususaꞌ sa.’
for her self-glorification and her luxury, give her now an equal measure of torture and misery. In her heart she says ‘I sit here a queen; no widow am I; I shall never know misery.’
Therefore in one day shall these Curses befall her — death, misery, and famine, and she shall be utterly consumed by fire; for mighty is the Lord God who condemned her.
All the kings of the earth who had licentious intercourse with her and shared her luxury will weep and lament over her, when they see the smoke from the burning city,

while they stand at a distance, horrified at her torture, and cry — ‘Alas! Alas! Great City! O mighty City of Babylon! In a single hour your judgment fell.

The fruit that your soul craved is no longer within your reach, and all dainties and luxuries are lost to you, never to be found again.’

The merchants who sold these things, and grew rich by her, will stand at a distance weeping and wailing, horrified at her torture, and crying —
16 Boe ma ara olaꞌ rae, ‘Adoo! Kasian Babel, e! Adoo! Kasian kota manaseliꞌ, o! Maꞌahulun atahori mara pake buas meulauꞌ dula mbilas, do mbilas-maranggeoꞌ mia teme mafelit seli. Maꞌahulun atahori mara heti ao nara rendiꞌ lilo, mutiara, ma fatu makahadoꞌ mafelit seli.

They threw dust on their heads, and, as they wept and wailed, they cried — ‘Alas! Alas! Great City! All who have ships on the sea grew rich through her magnificence. In a single hour it has vanished.’
20 Basa ma, haraꞌ naa olaꞌ seluꞌ nae, ‘Wei, hei mana masodꞌa sia sorga! Rala mara nda parlu mera sa ena. Wei, Lamatualain atahori nara! Rala mara nda parlu susa-sona sa ena. Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and People of Christ, and Apostles, and Prophets, for God has avenged you on her!
21 Basa ma, au ita ate esa mia sorga maꞌaderen seli. Nema oꞌo nala fatu esa monaen onaꞌ atahori. De ana mbia fatu a nisiꞌ tasi rala neu. Boe ma nafadꞌe nae, “Dei fo ara ralutu babel a onaꞌ naa boe” Dei fo ara ramopoꞌ kota manaseliꞌ naa onaꞌ naa boe.
Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and threw it into the sea, crying — ‘So shall Babylon, the Great City, be violently overthrown, never more to be seen.
Nda hambu atahori, mol are sia kota naa sa ena.

Yes, and in her was to be found the blood of the Prophets and of Christ’s People, and of all who have been put to death upon the earth.’
