< Yohanis 4 >

1 Mete ma taꞌasasamaꞌ Yohanis no Yesus, na, Yesus ana mana tungga nara sarani atahori hetar lenaꞌ mana tungga E. Yesus nda sarani atahori sa, akaꞌ Eni ana mana tungga nara mana sarani atahori. Basa ma, leleꞌ Yesus bubꞌuluꞌ oi, atahori mia partei agama Farisi rena ara sarani atahori hetar lenaꞌ,
When therefore the Lord knew how that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John
2
(although Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples),
3 boe ma no ana mana tungga nara lao hela nusa Yudea, de baliꞌ risiꞌ profinsi Galilea.
he left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 Te ara musi lao tungga profinsi Samaria fo losa profinsi Galilea.
And he must needs pass through Samaria.
5 Ara lao, ma ara losa kota esa sia Samaria, naran Sikar, deka-deka no rae fo baꞌi Yakob fee neu anan Yusuf.
So he cometh to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph:
6 Sia naa, hambu oe mataꞌ esa, naran ‘Yakob oen’. Reorendu boe ma, Yesus se losa naa. Ana namedꞌa bengge mia sira lalao nara, de Ana endoꞌ hahae aon sia oe naa. Boe ma Ana mana tungga nara lao hela mesaꞌ ne neu naa, de reu hasa nanaat sia kota rala. Boe ma inaꞌ esa mia kota naa nema haꞌi oe sia oe mataꞌ naa. Yesus noꞌe mbali e nae, “Aꞌa. Au bisa oꞌe oe nininuꞌ mbei, do?”
and Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7
There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8
For his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.
9 Te inaꞌ naa nggengger, huu atahori Yahudi nda nau raꞌabꞌue ro atahori Samaria ra sa. De ana natane baliꞌ Yesus nae, “Weh! Toꞌo atahori Yahudi. Au ia, atahori Samaria. Nda sala sa, do? Toꞌo moꞌe minu sia au e?”
The Samaritan woman therefore saith unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a Samaritan woman? (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Taꞌo ia. Mete ma aꞌa bubꞌuluꞌ saa fo Lamatualain nae fee basa atahori, ma muhine Au mana oꞌe inu ia, Seka, na tantu aꞌa noꞌe oe mia Au. Boe ma Au fee oe mana nendi masodꞌaꞌ.”
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 Inaꞌ naa nae, “Toꞌo nda ma ember hahandoꞌ sa. Boe ma oe mataꞌ ia, roman seli. Mia bee nema Toꞌo hambu oe mana nendi masodꞌaꞌ naa? Oe naa hambu sia bee fai?
The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Tantu Toꞌo nda manaseliꞌ lenaꞌ hai baꞌi Yakob ma sa! Eni mana lao hela oe mataꞌ ia fee hai. Boe ma eni o ninu mia oe mataꞌ ia boe. Eni ana nara, ro banda nara o onaꞌ naa boe.”
Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?
13 Yesus nataa nae, “Musunedꞌa, e! Atahori mana ninu mia oe mataꞌ ia, dei fo ana naꞌamadꞌa seluꞌ fai.
Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 Te atahori mana ninu oe fo Au feeꞌ a, dei fo ana nda naꞌamadꞌa seluꞌ sa ena. Huu oe fo Au feeꞌ naa, onaꞌ oe mataꞌ sa mana nasapupuraꞌ dea nema. Oe naa, nendi masodꞌaꞌ matetuꞌ nda mana etuꞌ sa.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Inaꞌ naa nae, “Mete ma taꞌo naa, na, Toꞌo fee au oe naa leo, fo onaꞌ bee na, au sudꞌi boe uꞌumadꞌa fai! No taꞌo naa, au sudꞌi boe uma haꞌi usufafali oe sia ia fai.”
The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.
16 Boe ma Yesus denu nae, “Taꞌo ia. Aꞌa baliꞌ dei. Moꞌe aꞌa sao ma. fo baliꞌ uma sia ia.”
Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 Ana nataa nae, “Te au nda masaoꞌ sa.” Boe ma Yesus nae, “Tebꞌe. Mufadꞌe no rala ndoos. Huu sao ma lima ena. Boe ma mana sia aleꞌ ia, nda sao ma sa.”
The woman answered and said unto him, I have no husband. Jesus saith unto her, Thou saidst well, I have no husband:
for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: this hast thou said truly.
19 Boe ma inaꞌ naa nae, “Awii! Ia naa au uhine ena, Toꞌo ia, Lamatualain mana ola-olan esa.
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Naa, au ae utane. Hai atahori Samaria ra bei-baꞌi mara beꞌutee neu Lamatualain sia lete Gerisim. Te hei atahori Yahudi mae, mete ma nau beꞌutee neu Lamatualain, basa atahori musi reu sia Yerusalem. Tungga Toꞌo, matetun, taꞌo bee?”
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Yesus nataa nae, “Aꞌa mumuhere neu oꞌola ngga ia dei, huu ia tebꞌe. Mae beꞌutee neu Lamatualain sia leteꞌ ia do, sia Yerusalem do, dei fo fai na nema, ruꞌa se nda raꞌena ngguna sa ena.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.
22 Hei atahori Samaria nda mihine naeꞌ sa, soꞌal mimihere neu seka. Te hai atahori Yahudi mihine naeꞌ, soꞌal Lamatualain fo hai beꞌutee neuꞌ a. Huu Ana nae pake hai fo soi dalaꞌ, naa fo atahori hambu masoi-masodꞌaꞌ mia sala-kilu nara.
Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know: for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Dei fo fai na nema, naeni mia leleꞌ ia, atahori mana beꞌutee tebꞌe neu hita Aman sia sorga, na, ara beꞌutee neu E tungga Dula-dalen, ma tungga ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Huu Amaꞌ sia sorga hii atahori mataꞌ naa ra mana beꞌutee neu E.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.
24 Huu Lamatualain naa, Dula-daleꞌ. De atahori mana beꞌutee neu E musi beꞌutee tungga Dula-dalen, ma tungga matetuꞌ a.”
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
25 Inaꞌ naa nafadꞌe nae, “Au bubꞌuluꞌ Mesias naa nae nema ena, naeni atahori ingga rae, ‘Kristus’, fo Lamatualain helu-fuli memaꞌ nae haitua nemaꞌ a. Leleꞌ Ana nema ena, na dei fo nafadꞌe basa-bꞌasaꞌ e neu nggita.”
The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh (which is called Christ): when he is come, he will declare unto us all things.
26 Yesus nataa nae, “Ia eni, Au ena, fo mana ola-olaꞌ leleꞌ ia.”
Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].
27 Nandaa no leleꞌ naa, Ana mana tungga nara baliꞌ mia kota rala rema. Ara heran, huu rita E ola-olaꞌ no ina Samaria esa. Te nda hambu esa natane mbali inaꞌ naa nae, “Nau saa?” Boe ma nda hambu esa natane Yesus nae, “Saa de Papa ola-olaꞌ mo inaꞌ ia?”
And upon this came his disciples; and they marveled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why speakest thou with her?
28 Basa ma, inaꞌ a lao hela nggusi na sia naa, de lao baliꞌ kota rala neu. Boe ma ana dui neu atahori sia naa ra nae,
So the woman left her waterpot, and went away into the city, and saith to the men,
Come, see a man, which told me all things that [ever] I did: can this be the Christ?
30 De atahori ra dea rema mia kota naa, de reu seꞌu E.
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
31 Leleꞌ inaꞌ naa feꞌe baliꞌ neu sia kota rala, Yesus ana mana tungga nara kokoe E rae, “Papa Meser! Uma mua dei!”
In the mean while the disciples prayed him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
32 Te nataa nae, “Au uꞌena nanaat ena, te hei nda bubꞌuluꞌ sa.”
But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.
33 Ana mana tungga nara esa natane esa rae, “Taꞌo bee, ia? Seka mana nema de fee Ne nanaat?”
The disciples therefore said one to another, Hath any man brought him [aught] to eat?
34 Te Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Taꞌo ia. Lamatualain denu Au fo tao tungga Eni hihii-nanaun, ma ulalao ue-tataon losa basa. Naa onaꞌ nanaat soaꞌ neu Au.
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.
35 Naa, hei biasa memeteꞌ sia tine-osi, basa fo takseer mae, ‘Feꞌe fula haa fai, dei fo feꞌe bisa etu-oru ena.’ Rena, e! Au ufadꞌe. Mete ma hei mete maꞌabebꞌesa, tine-osi ra leleꞌ ia randaa etu-oru ena. Tine ra, onaꞌ atahori hetar sia naa rema risiꞌ hita. Huu sira rahehere ramahere neu Au ena.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.
36 Nda akaꞌ taꞌo naa sa, te mana etu-oru mana raduru buna-bꞌoa nara sia nggudꞌan rala, sangga rae simbo rala nggadꞌi nara ena. Sira onaꞌ atahori mana natudꞌu dalaꞌ fo atahori ramahere neu Lamatualain, fo hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana etuꞌ sa. No taꞌo naa, atahori mana sela fini, no atahori mana etu-oru buna-bꞌoaꞌ ra, ramahoꞌo reu esa. (aiōnios g166)
He that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal; that he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Atahori rae, ‘Atahori esa sela fini; atahori laen mana naduru buna-bꞌoa nara.’ Naa tebꞌe ena.
For herein is the saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 Au denu nggi fo mii miduru buna-bꞌoaꞌ mia atahori laen ue-osan. Memaꞌ hei nda tao ues naa sa, te hei o hambu hahambuꞌ mia bebengge nara.”
I sent you to reap that whereon ye have not laboured: others have laboured, and ye are entered into their labour.
39 Leleꞌ naa, hambu atahori Samaria hetar sia kota naa ramahere neu Yesus, huu inaꞌ naa oꞌolan nae, “Ana nakambembela nabasaꞌ basa-bꞌasa saa fo au tao itaꞌ ra.”
And from that city many of the Samaritans believed on him because of the word of the woman, who testified, He told me all things that [ever] I did.
So when the Samaritans came unto him, they besought him to abide with them: and he abode there two days.
41 Boe ma atahori laen hetar o ramahere neu E, huu Eni oꞌolan.
And many more believed because of his word;
42 Boe ma ara rafadꞌe inaꞌ naa rae, “Afis naa, hai renaꞌ a oꞌolam. Te ia na hai mimihere neu E, huu hai rena mataꞌ mia E. Hai bubꞌuluꞌ tebꞌe mae, Atahori ia, mana bisa fee basa nggita masoi-masodꞌaꞌ sia raefafoꞌ ia mia sala-kilu tara.”
and they said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy speaking: for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.
43 Yesus se leo fai rua mia naa, boe ma ara lao rakandoo risiꞌ profinsi Galilea.
And after the two days he went forth from thence into Galilee.
44 (Lao esa Yesus olaꞌ nita nae, “Atahori nda hii fee hadꞌa-hormat neu Lamatualain mana ola-olan sia eni kambon sa.”)
For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
45 Dalahulun, leleꞌ nda feꞌe feta Paska sa, atahori Galilea hetar reu sia kota Yerusalem fo tao fai malole sia naa. Boe ma ara hambu rita basa saa fo Yesus tao sia Yerusalem. Naeni de leleꞌ Ana baliꞌ Galilea neu, ara simbo E no malole.
So when he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
46 Basa ma Yesus se lao rakandoo reu seluꞌ sia kambo Kana sia profinsi Galilea. Ana tao nita oe dadꞌi anggor sia naa. Leleꞌ naa, hambu pagau esa sia kota Kapernaum. Ana monen namahedꞌi.
He came therefore again unto Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 Leleꞌ pagau naa rena oi, Yesus baliꞌ nisiꞌ Galilea mia profinsi Yudea, ma ana lao neu sia Kana de sangga Yesus. Nandaa, ma ana akaꞌ kokoe fo Yesus onda nema tao nahaiꞌ anan. Huu anaꞌ naa naeꞌ a mate ena.
When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought [him] that he would come down, and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
48 Yesus nafadꞌe pagau naa nae, “Mete ma hei nda mita Au tao manadadꞌiꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ sa na, hei nda nau mimihere Au sa!”
Jesus therefore said unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will in no wise believe.
49 Pagau naa nataa nae, “Papa, tulun uma dei. Te hokoꞌ, na, ana ngga mate a ia ena.”
The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Basa ma Yesus nafadꞌe neu e nae, “Baliꞌ leo. Te anam naa, masodꞌaꞌ.” Boe ma ana heoꞌ baliꞌ neuꞌ ena, huu ana namahere Yesus oꞌolan naa.
Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. The man believed the word that Jesus spake unto him, and he went his way.
51 Leleꞌ ana baliꞌ, atahori mana tao ues nara rema randaa ro e sia dalaꞌ rae, “Amaꞌ afiꞌ susa fai, huu amaꞌ anan masodꞌaꞌ.”
And as he was now going down, his servants met him, saying, that his son lived.
52 Basa ma natane se nae, “Ana hai eniꞌ a mia liiꞌ hira?” Ara rataa rae, “Eniꞌ a afis a liiꞌ esa, matobꞌiꞌ a onda memaꞌ.”
So he inquired of them the hour when he began to amend. They said therefore unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 Basa ma pagau a nasanedꞌa neuꞌ ena nae, anan hai neuꞌ ena, eniꞌ a mia leleꞌ Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Amaꞌ anan masodꞌaꞌ.” Boe ma ana no basa ume isi nara ramahere neu Yesus.
So the father knew that [it was] at that hour in which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 Dadꞌi ia, manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ ka ruan fo Yesus tao leleꞌ Ana lao hela Yudea, fo neu sia Galilea.
This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judaea into Galilee.
