< Efesus 5 >
1 Hei ia ra, Lamatualain ana susuen. Huu naa, hei musi misodꞌa tungga hihii-nanaun.
Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,
2 Ma musi misodꞌa esa sue-lai esa, ona Kristus sue nggi. Huu Ana fee aon fo mate nggati hita ena. No taꞌo naa, Ana dadꞌi tutunu-hohotu maꞌameniꞌ, fo tao namahoꞌo Lamatualain.
And walk in love—even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.
3 Hei ia ra o, Lamatualain atahori meumaren. De afiꞌ misodꞌa manggenggeoꞌ! Dꞌuꞌaꞌ a manggenggeoꞌ o, afiꞌ! Afiꞌ hohongge! Afi hiiꞌ a matelenaꞌ!
But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you—even as becometh saints;
4 Afiꞌ olaꞌ dedꞌea mamaet! Ma afiꞌ olaꞌ leli! Huu Lamatuaꞌ atahorin nda nandaa olaꞌ taꞌo naa sa. Maloleꞌ lenaꞌ ama olaꞌ a maloleꞌ, ma moꞌe makasi neu Lamatuaꞌ.
And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, —which things are beneath you, —but, rather, giving of thanks;
5 Misinedꞌa malolole! Huu Lamatualain nda simbo atahori mana rasodꞌa manggenggeoꞌ ma atahori mana hohonggeꞌ sa. Ara nda bisa masoꞌ dadꞌi Kristus atahorin, ma Lamatualain nda dadꞌi sira manen sa. Lamatualain o nda simbo atahori mana hiiꞌ a matelenaꞌ, huu ara seti hendi E ma soꞌu rarananaru dalaꞌ laen ra.
For, this, ye know, if ye take note—that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6 Afiꞌ nene nenggonggoaꞌ mia atahori mana peko-lelekoꞌ rae, “Hae misodꞌa no meumareꞌ!”
Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:
7 Naa de, ama afiꞌ miꞌibꞌue mo atahori mataꞌ naa ra.
Do not, then, become co-partners with them;
Dadꞌi hei musi misodꞌa sia manggarelon naa.
For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, —as children of light, be walking,
9 Te atahori mana nasodꞌa nakandoo sia manggareloꞌ, ana tao dꞌala maloleꞌ, nasodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ, ma ana olaꞌ matetuꞌ.
For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, —
10 Sangga dalaꞌ fo tao nemehoꞌo Lamatualain ralan, huu Eni, hita Lamatuan.
Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;
12 Te saa fo ara tao raꞌafuniꞌ naa, manggenggeon seli, losa hita tae ola-olaꞌ o, ata mae.
For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!
13 Au fee conto taꞌo ia: mete ma atahori tao manggareloꞌ neu sudꞌiꞌ a sa sia maꞌahatuꞌ a, neꞌo atahori rita sudꞌiꞌ a saa naa ra no relo-reloꞌ.
All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;
14 Onaꞌ naa boe, mete ma hita tao manggareloꞌ neu dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ fo atahori tao, ana bisa nahine nae, saa fo eni taoꞌ naa, deꞌulakaꞌ. Hambu sosodꞌat esa oi, “Woi! hei mana sungguꞌ re, fela leo! Hei mana mateꞌ re, misodꞌa baliꞌ leo! Huu Kristus nae fee manggareloꞌ neu nggi.”
Wherefore it saith—Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.
15 Huu naa, mete maꞌabꞌebꞌesa masodꞌa mara, fo ama afiꞌ onaꞌ atahori nggoaꞌ. Malole lenaꞌ pake dudꞌuꞌa malolole mia Lamatuaꞌ.
Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, —not as unwise, but as wise, —
Afiꞌ dꞌoo-dꞌoo fai!
Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;
17 Dꞌuꞌa malolole fo mihine hita Lamatuan hihii-nanaun, fo afiꞌ nenenggongoaꞌ.
For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;
18 Afiꞌ mafu, te hokoꞌ naa nininuꞌ naa nauli nggi, fo taoꞌ a dalaꞌ deꞌulakaꞌ ra. Te soi rala mara fo hela Lamatualain Dula-dꞌale Meumaren mana nauli nggi.
And be not getting drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be getting filled in Spirit; —
19 No taꞌo naa, dei fo hei ola-olaꞌ esa mo esa mendiꞌ dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ mia Lamatualain Susura Meumaren, ma mia sosodꞌa kokoa-kikioꞌ neu E, ma mia sosodꞌat fo hei hambu mia Dula-dꞌale Meumaren. Ma mete ma koa-kio, na, afiꞌ siaꞌ a bꞌafa mara. Te koa-kio Lamatualain no matetuꞌ.
Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;
20 Huu Yesus Kristus dadꞌi hita Lamatuan, ma Amaꞌ Lamatualain tao dalaꞌ naeꞌ fee neu hita ena. Naa de toꞌe makasi takandooꞌ a neu E.
Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;
21 Basa hei, esa musi rena esa. No taꞌo naa, hei mitudꞌu hadꞌa-hormat neu Yesus Kristus.
Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ, —
22 Sao inaꞌ re! Hei musi rena sao tou mara, onaꞌ hei rena Lamatua ma, Yesus Kristus.
Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,
23 Te saom naa, dadꞌi ho malanggam. Ma Kristus o dadꞌi Malangga soaꞌ neu atahori nara. Huu Eni mana soi dalaꞌ fo rasodꞌa.
Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body, —
24 Dadꞌi Kristus atahori nara musi rena E. Onaꞌ naa boe, sao inaꞌ ra musi rena sao tou nara sia basa dalaꞌ ra.
Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:
25 Onaꞌ naa boe sao touꞌ re! Hei musi sue sao mara, onaꞌ Kristus sue atahori nara, losa Ana fee aon, fo mate nggati se.
Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,
That, her, he might sanctify, having purified [her] with the bath of water, in declaration,
27 Yesus Kristus atahori nara o, onaꞌ ina nene lemba-dodꞌeꞌ mana nene papake-nggao basaꞌ ena, meulaun seli, huu touꞌ a nae nema nala e ena. Onaꞌ naa boe, Kristus nae nema nala atahori nara. Dadꞌi ara musi rasodꞌa no maloleꞌ ma ndoo-meuꞌ, losa nda hambu salaꞌ mbei sa boe.
That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;
28 Onaꞌ naa boe, sao touꞌ re! Hei musi sue sao mara, onaꞌ hei sue ao mara. Te mete ma sao touꞌ sue saon, sosoan nae, eni sue aon boe.
So, ought the husbands [also] to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, —he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,
No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, —even as, the Christ, the assembly,
30 huu hita ia ra, onaꞌ Eni aon boe.
Because, members, are we of his body; —
31 Sia Lamatualain Susura Meumaren nenesuraꞌ oi, “Huu naa, touꞌ musi lao hela ina-ama nara, fo neu leo naꞌabꞌue ralaꞌ esa no saon, huu ruꞌa se dadꞌi esa ena.”
For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.
This sacred secret, is, great, —I, however, am speaking as to Christ and [as to] the assembly; —
33 Dadꞌi sao touꞌ musi sue saon onaꞌ eni sue ao hehelin. Ma sao inaꞌ musi fee hadꞌa-hormat neu sao toun.
Nevertheless, ye also, do ye, individually, each man be so loving, his own wife, as himself, and, the wife, [see] that she reverence her husband.
