< Ded'enu' ra Dud'uin 2 >
1 Ndaa no atahori Yahudi ra fai malole na, fo ara roꞌe oi ‘Fai Pentakosta’, basa atahori mana tungga Lamatuaꞌ Yesus ra raꞌabꞌue sia ume esa. Aibꞌoiꞌ ma, ara rena liiꞌ mia lalai a onaꞌ sanggu-anin. Liiꞌ naa monae na seli, losa atahori mana sia naa ra nda hambu rena esa no esa sa.
In the course of the Festival at the close of the Harvest the disciples had all met together,
when suddenly there came from the heavens a noise like that of a strong wind rushing by; it filled the whole house in which they were sitting.
3 Ma ara rita onaꞌ ai mbilaꞌ mana banggi-bꞌanggiꞌ neu se sia esa-esaꞌ ata.
Then there appeared tongues of what seemed to be flame, separating, so that one settled on each of them;
and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with strange ‘tongues’ as the Spirit prompted their utterances.
5 Leleꞌ naa, atahori Yahudi hetar mia nusaꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ sia raefafoꞌ a, rema raꞌabꞌue sia Yerusalem huu rala nara, hii-nau tungga Lamatulain.
Now there were then staying in Jerusalem religious Jews from every country in the world;
6 Ara rena liiꞌ naa boe ma rakarumbu risiꞌ mamanaꞌ naa. Esa-esaꞌ rena dedꞌea nara mia Lamatuaꞌ Yesus atahori Nara bafa nara, de ara titindindi.
and, when this sound was heard, numbers of people collected, in the greatest excitement, because each of them heard the disciples speaking in his own language.
They were utterly amazed, and kept asking in astonishment: “What! Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans?
8 Te taoꞌ bee de hita rena ara olaꞌ rendiꞌ hita esa-esaꞌ dedꞌea nara?
Then how is it that we each of us hear them in our own native language?
9 Hita ia ra, mia nusaꞌ hetar. Mia nusaꞌ Partia, Media, Elam, Mesopotamia, Yudea, Kapadokia, Pontus, Asia,
Some of us are Parthians, some Medes, some Elamites; and some of us live in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Roman Asia,
10 Frigia, Pamfilia, Masir, ma Libia deka no kota Kirene; ma ruma mia kota Roma;

either Jews by birth or converts, and some are Cretans and Arabians — yet we all alike hear them speaking in our own tongues of the great things that God has done.”
12 Basa se mbo-mboꞌ a, de esa natane mbali esa oi, “Taꞌo bee de dadꞌi onaꞌ naa, e? Ia, sosoa na saa, e?”
They were all utterly amazed and bewildered. “What does it mean?” they asked one another.
But there were some who said with a sneer: “They have had too much new wine.”
14 Sia naa hambu Petrus no Lamatuaꞌ Yesus dedenu ka sanahulu esa nara. Petrus mata neu de olaꞌ neu atahori naeꞌ mana maꞌabꞌueꞌ sia naa. Olaꞌ nahereꞌ nae, “Ama-ina, toronoo nggare! Hei atahori Yahudi, ma hei atahori mana ima leo sia kota Yerusalem! Pasa ndiki mara malolole fo rena au oꞌolangga ia, te hambu saa mana seliꞌ au ae ufadꞌe nggi.
Then Peter, surrounded by the eleven other Apostles, stood up, and, raising his voice, addressed the crowd. “Men of Judea,” he began, “and all you who are staying in Jerusalem, let me tell you what this means. Mark well my words.
15 Afiꞌ mae atahori ia ra mafu. Nda taꞌo naa sa! Misinedꞌa, nda hambu atahori rinu mafu fefetu anaꞌ sa. Oras ia feꞌe liiꞌ sio!
These men are not drunk, as you suppose; for it is only now nine in the morning! No!
16 Hei rena atahori ia ra ola-olaꞌ rendi hei dedꞌea mara.
This is what is spoken of in the prophet Joel —
17 ‘Lamatualain nae, “Mia fai mateꞌen, Au fee Dula-dale Ngga neu basa atahori. Hei ana touꞌ ma ana feto mara, Au pake dadꞌi mana ola-ola nggara. Hei ana soru mara, hambu rita saa fo Au ae utudꞌu neu se. Hei atahori lasi mara, ralamein saa fo Au ae fee se rita.
‘It shall come about in the last days,’ God says, ‘That I will pour out my Spirit on all mankind; Your sons and your daughters shall become Prophets, Your young men shall see visions, And your old men dream dreams;
18 Nandaa no fai mateꞌen, Au fee Dula-dale Ngga neu Au atahori nggara. Au fee neu touꞌ, ma Au fee neu inaꞌ ra boe. Dei fo ara olaꞌ sa fo Au ufadꞌe neu se.
Yes, even on the slaves — for they are mine — both men and women, I will in those days pour out my Spirit, And they shall become Prophets;

Losa Lamatuaꞌ fai mana seliꞌ Na naa ra, naa seka ra mana rameli roꞌe tulun Lamatulain, naa sira mana hambu masodꞌaꞌ.’”
And I will show wonders in the heavens above, And signs on the earth below — Blood and fire and mist of smoke;
The sun shall become darkness, And the moon blood-red, Before the Day of the Lord comes — that great and awful day.
Then shall every one who invokes the Name of the Lord be saved.’
22 Dadꞌi toronoo atahori Israꞌel re! Pasa ndiki mara rena au oꞌola ngga. Lamatulain dudꞌu basa Yesus, atahori Nasaret naa. Hei mihine mae naa tebꞌe, huu mita basa Lamatualain pake Yesus tao mana dadꞌi ma mana seliꞌ ra. Hei o mihine basa ia ra, huu Yesus tao mana dadꞌi naa ra sia hei taladꞌa ma.
Men of Israel, listen to what I am saying. Jesus of Nazareth, a man whose mission from God to you was proved by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God showed among you through him, as you know full well —
23 Te hei misa E. Hei kokoe atahori deꞌulakaꞌ ra fo mbaku risa E sia hau ngganggeꞌ ata. Tehuu, Lamatulain bubꞌuluꞌ basa naa mia dalahulu na neu, fo memaꞌ naa ndaa no dudꞌuꞌa Na.
He, I say, in accordance with God’s definite plan and with his previous knowledge, was betrayed, and you, by the hands of lawless men, nailed him to a cross and put him to death.
24 Memaꞌ hei tao doidꞌoso Yesus losa Ana mate. De Ana lea nala E mia mamate Na, de fee Ne nasodꞌa baliꞌ.
But God released him from the pangs of death and raised him to life, it being impossible for death to retain its hold upon him.
25 Dalahulu na Mane Daud suraꞌ soal Yesus taꞌo ia: ‘Au bubꞌuluꞌ ae Lamatuaꞌ no au.
Indeed it was to him that David was referring when he said — ‘I have had the Lord ever before my eyes, For he stands at my right hand, that I should not be disquieted.
26 De au rala ngga namahoꞌo. Au koa-kio E ukundoo, ma umuhena E.
Therefore my heart was cheered, and my tongue told its delight; Yes, even my body, too, will rest in hope;
27 Ana nda hela au ao samana ngga sia atahori mates ra mamana na sa. Ana nda hela Atahori Meumare Na ao sisi na maꞌafo sia rates rala sa. (Hadēs )
For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the Place of Death, Nor surrender me, your holy one, to undergo corruption.
Thou have shown me the path to life, Thou wilt fill me with gladness in your presence.’
29 Dadꞌi toronoo nggare! Fee isin au dei, fo olaꞌ relo-relo o nggi, soꞌal hita baꞌi Daud na. Baꞌi Daud olaꞌ taꞌo naa, te ana nda natudꞌu ao na sa. Hita bubꞌuluꞌ naa, huu ana mate, ma raꞌoi hendi ena. Rate na feꞌe sia hita taladꞌa na, losa faiꞌ ia.
Brothers, I can speak to you the more confidently about the Patriarch David, because he is dead and buried, and his tomb is here among us to this very day.
30 Mane Daud ia, dadꞌi Lamatualain mana ola-ola Na. Ana bubꞌuluꞌ Lamatualain helu basa pake susumbaꞌ oi, dei fo Daud tititi-nonosi na esa toꞌu parendaꞌ. Lamatualain dudꞌu Atahori naa eniꞌ a dalahulu na.
David, then, Prophet as he was, knowing that God ‘had solemnly sworn to him to set one of his descendants upon his throne,’ looked into the future,
31 Leleꞌ naa, Daud mete dodꞌooꞌ neu ena. Nafadꞌe naꞌahuluꞌ soꞌal Atahori fo Lamatualain dudꞌu basaꞌ a.
and referred to the resurrection of the Christ when he said that ‘he had not been abandoned to the Place of Death, nor had his body undergone corruption.’ (Hadēs )
32 Atahori fo Daud ola-olaꞌ a, naeni Yesus! Lamatualain tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ E mia mamate na. Ma basa hai o mita Ana nasodꞌa baliꞌ ena.
It was this Jesus, whom God raised to life; and of that we are ourselves all witnesses.
33 Oras ia, Lamatualain soꞌu Yesus fo toꞌu panggat monaeꞌ. Ana endoꞌ sia Lamatualain bobꞌoa ona Na, sia mamanaꞌ fo Lamatualain sadꞌia helaꞌ a. Ama na o fee Ne Dula-dale Meumareꞌ, tungga hehelu Na mia dalahulu na neu. Ana o helu fee Dula-dale Meumare Na, neu hita boe. Dadꞌi saa fo hei rena no mita oras ia, naa, Lamatualain fee Dula-Dale Meumare Na.
And now that he has been exalted to the right hand of God, and has received from the Father the promised gift of the Holy Spirit, he has begun to pour out that gift, as you yourselves now see and hear.
34 Daud nda hene sorga neu sa, te nafadꞌe oi, ‘Lamatualain olaꞌ no au malangga ngga oi, “Endoꞌ sia Au bobꞌoa ona ngga sia mamanaꞌ fo Au sadꞌia helaꞌ a,
It was not David who went up into Heaven; for he himself says — ‘The Lord said to my master: “Sit on my right hand,
35 losa au tao musu mara taꞌalok neu nggo.’”
Till I put your enemies as a footstool under thy feet.”’
So let the whole nation of Israel know beyond all doubt, that God has made him both Lord and Christ — this very Jesus whom you crucified.”
37 Rena taꞌo naa ma, atahori ra fale rala nara reuꞌ ena. De ara ratane Petrus no dedenu feaꞌ nara oi, “Aꞌa nggare! Hai musi tao saa fai?”
When the people heard this, they were conscience-smitten, and said to Peter and the rest of the Apostles: “Brothers, what can we do?”
38 Petrus nataa oi, “Hei musi lao hela sala-singgo mara fo tungga Lamatualain. Basa naa, musi moꞌe sarani, dadꞌi neu bukti oi hei tungga Yesus Karistus Dala Masodꞌa Na ena. Naa o dadꞌi bukti oi Lamatualain ose hendi basa salaꞌ mara boe. Ma hei o hambu Lamatualain Dula-dale Meumare Na boe.
“Repent,” answered Peter, “and be baptized every one of you in the Faith of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 Lamatualain helu taꞌo naa neu basa atahori mana masoꞌ dadꞌi Eni atahori na. Ana helu taꞌo naa fee hei atahori Israꞌel mo tititi-nonosi mara. Ana o helu fee atahori mia nusa feaꞌ ra boe.
For the promise is for you and for your children, and also for all those now far away, who may be called by the Lord our God.”
Naa fo, hei hambu masodꞌaꞌ ma misodꞌa mikindoo mo E.”
With many other words Peter enforced his teaching, while the burden of his exhortations was — “Save yourselves from the perverse spirit of this age.”
Faiꞌ naa, atahori rifon telu masoꞌ dadꞌi Yesus atahori nara.
So those who accepted his teaching were baptized, and about three thousand people joined the disciples on that day alone.
42 Ara hii raꞌabꞌue ro atahori feaꞌ mana tungga Yesus ra. Ara malole esa no esa. Tungga fai ara manggate rena nenoriꞌ mia Yesus dedenu Nara. Ara o hii hule-oꞌe ma raa raꞌabꞌue boe.
They devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles and to the Common Life of the Church, to the Breaking of the Bread and to the Prayers.
43 Leleꞌ naa, Lamatuaꞌ Yesus dedenu Nara, tao manadadꞌi naeꞌ, losa atahori ra titiriri ma ramatau.
A deep impression was made upon every one, and many wonders and signs were done at the hands of the Apostles.
44 Atahori mana tungga Lamatuaꞌ Yesus Dala Masodꞌa Na, raꞌabꞌue ro ralaꞌ esa, losa saa fo sira ena na o, pake raꞌabꞌue.
All who became believers in Christ held everything for the common use;
they sold their property and their goods, and shared the proceeds among them all, according to their individual needs.
46 Tungga fai ara hii raꞌabꞌue sia Lamatualain Ume Hule-Oꞌe Huu Na. Ara raa tungga-tungga ume no rala nemehoꞌot. Basa se rasodꞌa hii tulu-fali esa no esa, ma ara o nda deꞌu sa.
Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the Temple Courts, and to the Breaking of Bread at their homes, while they partook of their food in simple-hearted gladness, praising God, and winning the good-will of all the people.
47 Tungga fai, ara koa-kio Lamatualain nda namaetuꞌ sa. Basa atahori deaꞌ ra hii-nau ro se. Tungga fai, Lamatualain fee masodꞌaꞌ neu atahori, de ara raꞌabꞌue ro Lamatuaꞌ Yesus atahori Nara. Naa de, ara ramaheta rakandooꞌ a.
And the Lord daily added to their company those who were in the path of Salvation.
