< 1 Timotius 3 >

1 Atahori rae, “mete ma se nae dadꞌi malangga mana nuni jamaꞌat, naa sosoan, ana pili nala ues sa malolen seli.” Dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ naa memaꞌ tebꞌe.
This is a faithful saying: someone who seeks to be an overseer desires a good work.
2 Malangga mananuni jamaꞌat naa musi atahori mana naeꞌna nara meumareꞌ. Eni musi nasodꞌa no saoꞌ esaꞌ a. Eni musi bisa naꞌamamateꞌ nala ralan, mana neneeꞌ, atahori fee hadꞌa-hormat neu e, hiiꞌ a soi umen fo simbo fuiꞌ ra, ma nanori nalaꞌ atahori feaꞌ.
The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching;
3 Atahori naa afiꞌ manamafuꞌ, ma liman afiꞌ dai-daiꞌ atahori. Mana nandaa, naeni, atahori rala liloꞌ, mana hiiꞌ a sangga dꞌame, ma nda mana dale dꞌoiꞌ sa.
not a drinker, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
4 Eni musi taomataꞌ neu ume isi nara no malole. Ana nara o musi fee hadꞌa-hormat ma rena e.
one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence;
(for how could someone who doesn’t know how to rule his own house take care of God’s assembly?)
6 Malole lenaꞌ pili atahori mana tungga Kristus dooꞌ ena. Afiꞌ soꞌu malangga mananuni jamaꞌat mia atahori mana feꞌe namahere Lamatuaꞌ Yesus ena. Te neꞌo ana koao neuꞌ ena. Afiꞌ losa Lamatualain hukun e, onaꞌ Ana hukun nitur malangga monaen.
not a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 Mete ma mae pili atahori dadꞌi malangga mananuni jamaꞌat, na sangga atahori mana naꞌena nara maloleꞌ no atahori nda mamahereꞌ ra sa boe. Ma atahori nda mamehereꞌ ra sa o fee hadꞌa-hormat neu e. No taꞌo naa, ana nda mae saa-saa sa boe. Ma nitu ra malangga monaen nda bisa ratudꞌaꞌ e sa.
Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Onaꞌ naa boe mana tulu-fali malangga atahori saraniꞌ.
Servants, in the same way, must be reverent, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for money,
9 Rala nara musi meumareꞌ, ma musi toꞌu rahereꞌ nenoriꞌ fo Lamatualain fee hita, atahori mamahereꞌ ra.
holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 Paresaꞌ malolole masodꞌa nara no ue-tatao nara. Mete ma atahori nda hambu sala nara sa, dei fo feꞌe soꞌu se fo tulu-fali malangga mana nuni jamaꞌat ra.
Let them also first be tested; then let them serve if they are blameless.
11 Sao nara o onaꞌ naa boe. Sira, musi inaꞌ mana nasodꞌa ndaa ma maloleꞌ.
Their wives in the same way must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, and faithful in all things.
12 Mana tulu-fali malangga mana nuni jamaꞌat ra musi touꞌ saoꞌ esaꞌ a. Eni musi taomataꞌ neu ume isin no maloleꞌ, ma taomataꞌ neu ana nara boe.
Let servants be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
Ma ara boe rambarani, olaꞌ soꞌal nemehere nara neu Yesus Kristus.
For those who have served well gain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.
14 Tius! Au suraꞌ ia fo ufadꞌe nggo ae, Lamatualain bobꞌonggi nara musi rasodꞌa taꞌo bee. Afiꞌ liliiꞌ mae, Lamatualain naa, masodꞌaꞌ. Atahori nara onaꞌ ume mana naꞌena netehuuꞌ no rii ineꞌ manggateeꞌ. No taꞌo na, ara musi tongga Lamatualain nenori matetun.
These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly,
but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in God’s house, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 Lamatualain natudꞌu saa manaseliꞌ mia hita nemeheren. Netehun taꞌo ia: Kristus nema sia raefafoꞌ ia ena, nendiꞌ mata-aon onaꞌ hita atahori boe. Lamatuaꞌ Dꞌula-dꞌalen natudꞌu oi, Yesus, Atahori rala ndoos. Lamatualain ana dedꞌenu nara mia sorga rita E. Lamatualain soꞌu nala E sorga neu, basa ma, soꞌu nananaru E. Eni dudꞌuin, nenedꞌui-bꞌenggaꞌ neu atahori ndule raefafoꞌ ia. Sia bee-bꞌee sia raefafoꞌ ia, atahori ramahere neu E. Hita tamahere taꞌo naa!
Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.
