1 Tesalonika 5
1 Naa, toronoo nggare! Soa sa hai suraꞌ mifadꞌe, Lamatuaꞌ neneman nandaa no liiꞌ hira do fai hiraꞌ.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Hei bubꞌuluꞌ basa dalaꞌ ia ra ena.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves.
14 Toronoo nggare! Hai mae fee nesenenedꞌaꞌ hira taꞌo ia: mifadꞌe mana mbera-mbikeꞌ ra fo ara ue-tao no matetuꞌ. Tao manggatee rala mana banggi-bꞌanggiꞌ ra. Misilaꞌe atahori manatudꞌa-loloeꞌ ra. Ma miꞌitataaꞌ mo basa atahori ra.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].
15 Misinedꞌa fo afiꞌ bala-bꞌae deꞌulakaꞌ no deꞌulakaꞌ. Te taoꞌ a maloleꞌ mo basa atahori. Afiꞌ tao maloleꞌ neu akaꞌ a hita atahori nara, te atahori deaꞌ ra boe.
See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].
16 Mimihoꞌo mikindooꞌ a.
Rejoice evermore.
17 Hule-oꞌe hatuꞌ-rerelon.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Mae susa do mimihoꞌo o, moꞌe makasi neu Lamatualain. Huu Lamatualain hii-nau basa atahori mana tungga Yesus Kristus ra tao taꞌo naa.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Afiꞌ ai-bꞌaa Dula-daleꞌ ue-tataon.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Mete ma hambu toronooꞌ esa nae eni simbo haraꞌ mia Lamatualain, na, afiꞌ miloe-midꞌae oꞌolan!
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Hei musi paresaꞌ milolole dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ naa, tebꞌe huun mia Lamatualain do hokoꞌ. Mete ma tebꞌe, na, tungga.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Te miꞌidꞌodꞌooꞌ ao mara mia basa deꞌulakaꞌ ra.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 Au hule-oꞌe fo Lamatualain tao nameu rala mara no masodꞌa mara. Ana mana tao nggita tasodꞌa mole-dꞌame esa no esa. No taꞌo naa, leleꞌ hita Malanggan Yesus Kristus baliꞌ nema, na, hei mimbiriiꞌ sia matan, mo ao mara, rala mara, boe ma samana mara nda hambu salaꞌ saa sa boe. Tebꞌe! Lamatuaꞌ Yesus mana noꞌe nggi dadꞌi atahorin, ralan ndoos. Saa fo Ana olaꞌ, naa ana tao tungga. Dadꞌi dei fo Ana nendi hei no meumareꞌ nisiꞌ Lamatualain matan.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it.]
25 Toronooꞌ re! Afiꞌ liliiꞌ hule-oꞌe fee hai sia ia.
Brethren, pray for us.

Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
28 Au oꞌe hita Malanggan Yesus Kristus natudꞌu rala malolen neu basa nggi. Baꞌu a naa Sodꞌa-moleꞌ Paulus
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.
