1 Petrus 4
1 Kristus naa, atahori onaꞌ hita boe. Huu Ana hambu doidꞌosoꞌ naen seli, hei o musi sadꞌia hambu doidꞌosoꞌ, onaꞌ E boe. Ma misinedꞌa, te atahori mana sadꞌia hambu susa-sonaꞌ huu nenepaꞌaꞌ no Kristus, ana naꞌetuꞌ nae eni nda nau tao salaꞌ sa ena.
Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do ye also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin,
2 Mae ana feꞌe nasodꞌa sia raefafoꞌ ia o, ana nda tao salaꞌ sa ena onaꞌ atahori laen ra. Huu ana nasodꞌa tunggaꞌ a Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun.
no longer to live the rest of [his] time in [the] flesh to men's lusts, but to God's will.
3 Feꞌesaꞌan, hambu fai naeꞌ mete ma hei mae tao sudꞌi a deꞌulakaꞌ sa, onaꞌ atahori nda feꞌe rahine Lamatuaꞌ sa. Conto onaꞌ: ara tao leliꞌ. Ara hohongge. Ara tungga hihii-nanau deꞌulaka nara. Ara rinu mafu. Ara feta dote deaꞌ. Ara feta hohongge raꞌabꞌue. Ara akaꞌ songgo fo mana bisa tao ao fulu tara tenggou.
For the time past [is] sufficient [for us] to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, lusts, wine-drinking, revels, drinkings, and unhallowed idolatries.
4 Ara olaꞌ ralulutu nara malole mara, huu nda rahine taꞌo bee de hei nda tao tungga deꞌulaka manaseliꞌ onaꞌ sira taoꞌ a sa.
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same sink of corruption, speaking injuriously [of you];
5 Ma misinedꞌa, te dei fo ara musi reu rataa mbali Lamatualain, mana Maꞌetu Dedꞌeat. Ara musi rafadꞌe neu E saa de sira rasodꞌa deꞌulakaꞌ taꞌo naa. Afiꞌ liliiꞌ, te basa atahori musi reu rataa mbali E. Mae atahori feꞌe masodꞌaꞌ do mana mateꞌ ra ena.
who shall render account to him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead.
6 Tebꞌe! Lamatualain nae paresaꞌ atahori mates ra onaꞌ Eni paresaꞌ atahori laen ra boe. Huu, Ana nae mete dala masodꞌa maꞌahulu nara. Naa de Yesus neu nafadꞌe Lamatuaꞌ Hara-lii Malolen neu se, naa fo ara o bisa hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ fo tao tungga Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun boe.
For to this [end] were the glad tidings preached to [the] dead also, that they might be judged, as regards men, after [the] flesh, but live, as regards God, after [the] Spirit.
7 Fai mateteꞌen deka-deka nema ena. Naa de hei musi dudꞌuꞌa losa lolosan, ma subꞌa-subꞌa, fo hei bisa hule-oꞌe no maloleꞌ.
But the end of all things is drawn nigh: be sober therefore, and be watchful unto prayers;
8 Pantin na, hei musi misodꞌa esa sue esa mikindoo. Te mae atahori laen ra tao salaꞌ naen seli o, mete ma hei feꞌe sue e, na bisa miꞌibꞌue mo e boe.
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
9 Simbo atahori mia mamanaꞌ laen numban sia ume mara no lima rua. Ma misinedꞌa. Afiꞌ simbo no unggu-remuꞌ.
hospitable one to another, without murmuring;
10 Atahori mana simbo papala-babꞌanggiꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ ena, musi mete-seꞌu toronoo atahori mamahere nara nendiꞌ papala-babꞌanggi naa ra. Tao mataꞌ ma pake no malole papala-babꞌanggiꞌ naa fo naꞌena nggunaꞌ soaꞌ neu Lamatuaꞌ.
each according as he has received a gift, ministering it to one another, as good stewards of [the] various grace of God.
11 Conto onaꞌ: mete ma hambu papala-babꞌanggiꞌ fo nenori atahori, na, misinedꞌa te hei musi mifadꞌe atahori mendiꞌ Lamatuaꞌ Hara-liin. Mete ma hambu papala-babꞌanggiꞌ fo mete-seꞌu atahori, na, mete-seꞌu mendiꞌ bebꞌeꞌi-baraꞌaiꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ feeꞌ a. No taꞌo naa, basa atahori rita rae, hei Yesus Kristus atahorin. Huu naa, ara soꞌu rananaru Lamatualain. Te Eni manaseliꞌ! Ma naꞌena koasa fo toꞌu parendaꞌ nda namaꞌetu sa. Tebꞌe taꞌo naa! (aiōn g165)
If any one speak — as oracles of God; if any one minister — as of strength which God supplies; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the might for the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Toronoo susue nggare! Afiꞌ heran, mete ma hei hambu sosobꞌaꞌ-dodꞌouꞌ beran seli. Te naa fora nemehere mara. Afiꞌ duꞌa mae, akaꞌ mesaꞌ nggi mana hambu sosobꞌa onaꞌ naa.
Beloved, take not [as] strange the fire [of persecution] which has taken place amongst you for [your] trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you;
13 Te rala mara bisa maꞌahee, huu ama hambu doidꞌosoꞌ onaꞌ Kristus o hambu doidꞌosoꞌ ena. No taꞌo naa, dei fo rala mara maꞌahee leleꞌ basa atahori hambu rita Kristus manaselin.
but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation.
14 Leleꞌ atahori olaꞌ raꞌamuti nggi huu hei miꞌibꞌue mo Kristus, na hei onton, huu Lamatualain Dula-dalen manaseliꞌ a sia nggi.
If ye are reproached in [the] name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; for the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God rests upon you: [on their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.]
15 Te mete ma hei musi hambu doidꞌoso, na, afiꞌ huu hei misa atahori, do, miminaꞌo, do, tao deꞌulakaꞌ, do, mana mii sardodꞌodꞌoo mo atahori laen ue-tataon.
Let none of you suffer indeed as murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or as overseer of other people's matters;
16 Te mete ma atahori hambu sususaꞌ huu dadꞌi Kristus atahorin, ana nda parlu namedꞌa mamaet saa sa boe. Malole lenaꞌ ara koa-kio Lamatualain, huu sira dadꞌi atahori Kristen.
but if as a christian, let him not be ashamed, but glorify God in this name.
17 Fain losa ena fo atahori rataa sia Lamatualain matan. Ana paresaꞌ naꞌahuluꞌ atahori nara masodꞌan. De dudꞌuꞌa neuꞌ ena! Mete ma Ana paresaꞌ naꞌahuluꞌ hita atahori Kristen, na, taꞌo bee no atahori nda mana nau simbo Hara-lii Malolen sa? Tantu huku-doki nara beran lenaꞌ!
For the time of having the judgment begin from the house of God [is come]; but if first from us, what [shall be] the end of those who obey not the glad tidings of God?
18 Te nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatuaꞌ Susura Meumaren oi, “Mete ma atahori mana nasodꞌa ndoos ra raeꞌ a nda hambu masoi-masodꞌaꞌ sa, na, taꞌo bee fai atahori nda mana tao-afiꞌ neu Lamatuaꞌ sa? Ma, taꞌo bee no atahori mana nasodꞌa noꞌa salaꞌ?”
And if the righteous is difficultly saved, where shall the impious and [the] sinner appear?
19 Dadꞌi mete ma Lamatualain hela atahori nara hambu sususaꞌ tungga Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun, na, ara bisa ramahere rae, dei fo Ana nanea se boe! Huu Eni mana tao nala se na. Eni o tao tungga saa fo Eni olaꞌ a. Huu Eni nanea se taꞌo naa, naa de ara feꞌe bisa tao ndoo-tetuꞌ a.
Wherefore also let them who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing to a faithful Creator.
