1 Korintus 1

Paul, [a] called apostle of Jesus Christ, by God's will, and Sosthenes the brother,

to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, to [those] sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all that in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always about you, in respect of the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus;

that in everything ye have been enriched in him, in all word [of doctrine], and all knowledge,

(according as the testimony of the Christ has been confirmed in you, )

so that ye come short in no gift, awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

who shall also confirm you to [the] end, unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God [is] faithful, by whom ye have been called into [the] fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all say the same thing, and that there be not among you divisions; but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same opinion.

For it has been shewn to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of [the house of] Chloe, that there are strifes among you.

But I speak of this, that each of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

Is the Christ divided? has Paul been crucified for you? or have ye been baptised unto the name of Paul?

I thank God that I have baptised none of you, unless Crispus and Gaius,

that no one may say that I have baptised unto my own name.

Yes, I baptised also the house of Stephanas; for the rest I know not if I have baptised any other.
17 Huu Kristus nda denu au fo uu sarani atahori sa. Au ue-tatao huuꞌ ngga, naeni nefadꞌe atahori soꞌal Eni Hara-lii Malolen. Te mete ma au ufadꞌe atahori taꞌo naa, Ana nda hii au olaꞌ endiꞌ dedꞌea madikuꞌ fo utudꞌu mahine ngga, do utudꞌu netehuuꞌ manaseliꞌ ra. Huu mete ma au olaꞌ taꞌo naa, naa nakuraꞌ koasa mia dudꞌuit soꞌal Kristus mamaten sia hau ngganggeꞌ a.
For Christ has not sent me to baptise, but to preach glad tidings; not in wisdom of word, that the cross of the Christ may not be made vain.

For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us that are saved it is God's power.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and set aside the understanding of the understanding ones.
20 Lele uluꞌ a, memaꞌ Lamatualain olaꞌ taꞌo naa. Te leleꞌ ia, dadꞌi taꞌo bee ena? Atahori mahineꞌ ra, dadꞌi taꞌo bee? Meser agama ra, dadꞌi taꞌo bee? Where [is the] wise? where scribe? where disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)

Huu lele uluꞌ a, Ana dudꞌuꞌa ena nae, “Mae atahori rae dedꞌenu nggara, atahori nggoaꞌ ra o, te ona bee o, Au musi denu atahori fo reu rafadꞌe se dala ndoo-tetuꞌ soꞌal Au.” Huu Lamatualain naꞌetuꞌ nae pake hehelu-fufuliꞌ fo dedꞌenu nara rendi, fo atahori bisa ramahere Eni. Ana nau fee masoi-masodꞌaꞌ neu atahori mia sala-kilu nara nendiꞌ dalaꞌ naa. Te atahori rae Lamatualain dalan naa, nggoaꞌ. Naeni de ara nda nau taoafiꞌ neu dedꞌenu nara sa. Huu atahori Yahudi ra nauꞌ a roꞌe manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ ra, fo rae rita Lamatualain koasan. Ma atahori Yunani ra nauꞌ renaꞌ a dala-dala mahineꞌ mana masoꞌ dudꞌuꞌat, tunggaꞌ a sira dudꞌuꞌa nara.
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom has not known God, God has been pleased by the foolishness of the preaching to save those that believe.
Since Jews indeed ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom;
23 Mae onaꞌ naa o, hai mana dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ dedꞌenun nara, akaꞌ meu mifadꞌe atahori mae, “Lamatualain haitua Kristus ena, Atahori fo Ana helu eniꞌ a lele uluꞌ a, nae haitua nema. Basa ma atahori laen ra mbaku risa E mia hau ngganggeꞌ ata.” Leleꞌ atahori Yahudi ra rena dudꞌuit naa, ara rae timba hendi e, huu tungga sira dudꞌuꞌa nara na, Atahori fo Lamatualain nae haitua nema naa, nda bisa mate onaꞌ naa sa. Leleꞌ atahori Yunani ra rena dudꞌuit naa, ara duꞌa, “Naa dudꞌui nggoa manaseliꞌ!”
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness;
24 Te hambu atahori fo Lamatualain heheli nala memaꞌ dadꞌi enan. Sira ruma mia atahori Yahudi, ma ruma mia atahori nda Yahudi sa. Tungga sira naa, Kristus mamaten natudꞌu neu se ena nae, Lamatualain koasan monaen seli, ma mahinen, manaseliꞌ tebꞌe.
but to those that [are] called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ God's power and God's wisdom.
25 Mae atahori rae Lamatualain dalan nggoaꞌ, te mahinen feꞌe lenaꞌ se fai. Boe ma mae sira duꞌa rae Lamatualain nda naꞌena koasa saa sa boe o, te koasan feꞌe monaen seli lena sira boe.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 Toronoo susue nggara, e! Naa fo hei bisa mihine au oꞌola ngga ia, na ama misinedꞌa hei tetende-nemberii mara leleꞌ Lamatualain pili nala nggi dadꞌi Eni enan. Tungga atahori nile na, na sia hei taladꞌa mara nda hambu atahori mahineꞌ hetar sa, nda atahori masiꞌet hetar sa, ma nda hambu atahori hetar mia tititi-nonosiꞌ mana naꞌena nara moko-monaen.
For consider your calling, brethren, that [there are] not many wise according to flesh, not many powerful, not many high-born.
27 Te Lamatualain pili nala ma nae pake atahori fo ara oi nggoan seli, fo naꞌamamaeꞌ atahori mana nae eni mahineꞌ. Ma Ana pili nae pake atahori fo ara rae nda naꞌena koasa saa sa boe, fo naꞌamamaeꞌ atahori mana nae eni naꞌena koasa.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may put to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world, that he may put to shame the strong things;
28 Boe ma Ana pili nala atahori anadꞌikiꞌ fo nda naꞌena nara moko-monaen sa, ma atahori akaꞌ raloe-radꞌae se. Huu Lamatualain nae pake se fo tao atahori mana nae eni manaseliꞌ, dadꞌi onaꞌ sira nda raꞌena sosoa-ndandaaꞌ saa sa boe.
and the ignoble things of the world, and the despised, has God chosen, [and] things that are not, that he may annul the things that are;
29 De mete ma atahori reu randaa ro Lamatualain, nda hambu atahori esa sa boe bisa toꞌo tendan nae, eni manaseliꞌ.
so that no flesh should boast before God.
30 Huu Lamatualain mesaꞌ ne mana soi dalaꞌ fo ama bisa dadꞌi Yesus Kristus atahorin. Lamatualain mana tao Yesus dadꞌi Atahori mana fee mahinen neu nggita. Yesus naa, mana soi dalaꞌ fo ata bisa badꞌame baliꞌ to Lamatualain. Yesus naa, mana tao hita bisa tasodꞌa ndoos ma meumareꞌ. Boe ma Eni mana mboꞌi nggita mia salaꞌ ra koasan.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;
31 Naa onaꞌ nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatualain Susura Meumaren nae, “Seka hiiꞌ a soꞌu koa-kioꞌ, malole lenaꞌ ara soꞌu koa-kioꞌ neu hita Lamatuan tataon. Afiꞌ soꞌu kokoaꞌ neu ao nara!”
that according as it is written, He that boasts, let him boast in [the] Lord.
