Titus 2
1 Ci spuneți ceea ce se potrivește cu învățătura sănătoasă,
Now you, speak the things that suit sound doctrine:
2 ca bărbații mai în vârstă să fie cumpătați, cumpătați, cumpătați, cumpătați, sănătoși în credință, în dragoste și în perseverență,
older men are to be sober, dignified, prudent, sound in the faith, in love and in endurance;

similarly older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good

—so that they may instruct the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

to be prudent, pure, good homemakers, subordinating themselves to their own husbands, so that the Word of God not be maligned.
6 De asemenea, îndemnați și pe cei mai tineri să fie cumpătați.
Similarly, exhort the young men to be self-controlled,
7 În toate lucrurile, arată-te pe tine însuți un exemplu de fapte bune. În învățătura voastră, arătați integritate, seriozitate, incoruptibilitate
in all things presenting yourself as an example of good works: showing integrity, dignity and incorruptibility in your teaching
8 și o vorbire sănătoasă, care nu poate fi condamnată, pentru ca cel care vi se opune să fie rușinat, neavând nimic rău de spus despre noi.
—healthy speech, beyond reproach—so that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing slighting to say about us.
9 Îndeamnă-i pe slujitori să se supună stăpânilor lor și să fie binevoitori în toate lucrurile, fără să se contrazică,
Exhort slaves to subordinate themselves to their own owners, to be well pleasing in all things, not talking back,
10 fără să fure, ci să dea dovadă de toată buna credincioșie, ca să împodobească în toate lucrurile învățătura lui Dumnezeu, Mântuitorul nostru.
not pilfering but showing total trustworthiness, so as to adorn the doctrine of our Savior God in everything.
11 Căci harul lui Dumnezeu s-a arătat, aducând mântuirea tuturor oamenilor,
For the saving grace of God has appeared for all men,
12 instruindu-ne pentru ca, lepădându-ne de impietate și de poftele lumești, să trăim sobru, drept și evlavios în veacul acesta; (aiōn g165)
teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live prudently, righteously and godly in this present age, (aiōn g165)
13 așteptând speranța binecuvântată și arătarea gloriei marelui nostru Dumnezeu și Mântuitor, Isus Cristos,
looking for the blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 care s-a dat pe sine însuși pentru noi, ca să ne răscumpere de orice nelegiuire și să își purifice un popor ca să fie proprietatea sa, zelos pentru fapte bune.
who gave Himself for us, so that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a special people, zealous for good works.
15 Spuneți aceste lucruri, îndemnați și mustrați cu toată autoritatea. Nimeni să nu vă disprețuiască.
Speak these things, whether you exhort or reprove, with all authority. Let no one disdain you.
