1 Pavel, slujitor al lui Isus Hristos, chemat ca apostol, pus deoparte pentru vestea cea bună a lui Dumnezeu,

Paul the seruaut of Iesus Christ called to be an Apostle put a parte to preache the Gospell of God

2 pe care a făgăduit-o mai înainte prin proorocii Săi în Sfintele Scripturi,

which he promysed afore by his Prophetes in the holy scriptures

3 despre Fiul Său, născut din neamul lui David, după trup,

that make mension of his sonne the which was begotte of the seed of David as pertayninge to the flesshe:

4 care a fost declarat Fiul lui Dumnezeu cu putere, după Duhul sfințeniei, prin învierea din morți, Isus Hristos, Domnul nostru,

and declared to be the sonne of God with power of the holy goost that sanctifieth sence ye tyme that Iesus Christ oure Lorde rose agayne from deeth

5 prin care am primit harul și apostolatul pentru ascultarea credinței printre toate neamurile, pentru Numele Lui;

by whom we have receaved grace and apostleshyppe to bringe all maner hethe people vnto obedience of the fayth that is in his name:

6 printre care și voi sunteți chemați să aparțineți lui Isus Cristos;

of the which hethen are ye a part also which are Iesus christes by vocacio.

7 tuturor celor care sunt în Roma, iubiți de Dumnezeu, chemați să fie sfinți: Harul și pacea să vă fie vouă, de la Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru și de la Domnul Isus Hristos.

To all you of Rome beloved of God and saynctes by callinge. Grace be with you and peace from God oure father and from the Lorde Iesus Christ.

8 Mai întâi, mulțumesc Dumnezeului meu, prin Isus Hristos, pentru voi toți, pentru că credința voastră este vestită în toată lumea.

Fyrst verely I thanke my God thorow Iesus Christ for you all because youre fayth is publisshed through out all the worlde.

9 Căci martor îmi este Dumnezeu, căruia îi slujesc în duhul meu în Buna Vestire a Fiului său, cât de neîncetat fac mereu pomenirea voastră în rugăciunile mele,

For God is my witnes whom I serve with my sprete in the Gospell of his sonne that with out ceasinge I make mencion of you alwayes in my prayers

10 cerând, dacă acum, în sfârșit, prin voia lui Dumnezeu, să fiu învrednicit să ajung la voi.

besechinge that at one tyme or another a prosperous iorney (by ye will of god) myght fortune me to come vnto you.

11 Căci doresc mult să vă văd, ca să vă pot împărtăși vreun dar spiritual, pentru ca voi să fiți întăriți;

For I longe to see you that I myght bestowe amoge you some spirituall gyfte to strength you with all:

12 adică, ca eu împreună cu voi să fiu încurajat în voi, fiecare dintre noi prin credința celuilalt, atât a voastră, cât și a mea.

that is that I myght have consolacion together with you through the commen fayth which bothe ye and I have.

13 Și nu vreau să nu știți, fraților, că de multe ori am plănuit să vin la voi, dar am fost împiedicat până acum, ca să aduc rod și printre voi, ca și printre celelalte neamuri.

I wolde that ye shuld knowe brethre how that I have often tymes purposed to come vnto you (but have bene let hitherto) to have some frute amonge you as I have amonge other of ye Gentyls.

14 Sunt dator atât grecilor, cât și străinilor, atât celor înțelepți, cât și celor nebuni.

For I am detter both to the Grekes and to them which are no Grekes vnto the learned and also vnto the vnlearned.

15 Așadar, atât cât este în mine, sunt nerăbdător să propovăduiesc vestea cea bună și vouă, care sunteți în Roma.

Lykewyse as moche as in me is I am redy to preache the Gospell to you of Rome also.

16 Căci nu mi-e rușine de vestea cea bună a lui Hristos, pentru că ea este puterea lui Dumnezeu pentru mântuirea fiecăruia care crede, mai întâi a iudeilor și apoi a grecilor.

For I am not ashamed of the Gospell of Christ because it is ye power of God vnto salvacio to all yt beleve namely to the Iewe and also to ye getyle.

17 Căci în ea se descoperă dreptatea lui Dumnezeu, din credință în credință. După cum este scris: “Dar cel neprihănit va trăi prin credință”.

For by it ye rightewesnes which cometh of god is opened fro fayth to fayth. As it is written: The iust shall live by fayth.

18 Căci mânia lui Dumnezeu se arată din ceruri împotriva oricărei nelegiuiri și nedreptăți a oamenilor care înăbușă adevărul în nedreptate,

For the wrath of God apereth from heven agaynst all vngodlynes and vnrightewesnes of me which withholde ye trueth in vnrightewesnes

19 pentru că ceea ce este cunoscut de Dumnezeu se arată în ei, căci Dumnezeu le-a descoperit.

seynge what maye be knowen of God that same is manifest amoge them. For God dyd shewe it vnto them.

20 Căci lucrurile invizibile ale Lui, de la crearea lumii, se văd în mod clar, fiind percepute prin lucrurile care sunt făcute, adică puterea Lui veșnică și divinitatea Lui, pentru ca ei să fie fără scuză. (aïdios g126)

So that his invisible thinges: that is to saye his eternall power and godhed are vnderstonde and sene by the workes from the creacion of the worlde. So that they are without excuse (aïdios g126)

21 Pentru că, cunoscând pe Dumnezeu, nu L-au slăvit ca Dumnezeu și nu I-au adus mulțumiri, ci au devenit deșerți în raționamentul lor și inima lor fără minte s-a întunecat.

in as moche as when they knewe god they glorified him not as God nether were thakfull but wexed full of vanities in their imaginacions and their folisshe hertes were blynded.

22 Și, făcându-se înțelepți, s-au făcut nebuni,

When they couted them selves wyse they became foles

23 și au schimbat slava Dumnezeului cel neînsuflețit cu asemănarea unui chip de om coruptibil, de păsări, de patrupede și de târâtoare.

and turned the glory of the immortall god vnto the similitude of the ymage of mortall man and of byrdes and foure foted beastes and of serpentes.

24 De aceea, Dumnezeu i-a și predat, în poftele inimilor lor, la necurăție, pentru ca trupurile lor să fie dezonorate între ei;

Wherfore god lykewyse gave the vp vnto their hertes lustes vnto vnclennes to defyle their awne boddyes bitwene them selves:

25 care au schimbat adevărul lui Dumnezeu cu minciuna și s-au închinat și au slujit mai degrabă creaturii decât Creatorului, care este binecuvântat în veci. Amin. (aiōn g165)

which tourned his truthe vnto a lye and worshipped and served the creatures more then ye maker which is blessed for ever. Ame. (aiōn g165)

26 De aceea Dumnezeu i-a lăsat să se lase pradă patimilor josnice. Căci femeile lor au schimbat funcția naturală în ceea ce este împotriva naturii.

For this cause god gave them vp vnto shamfull lustes. For even their wemen did chaunge the naturall vse vnto the vnnaturall.

27 La fel și bărbații, părăsind funcția naturală a femeii, s-au aprins în poftele lor unii față de alții, bărbații făcând ceea ce este nepotrivit cu bărbații și primind în ei înșiși pedeapsa cuvenită pentru greșeala lor.

And lyke wyse also the men lefte the naturall vse of the woma and bret in their lustes one on another. And man with man wrought filthynes and receaved in them selves the rewarde of their erroure as it was accordinge.

28 Chiar dacă au refuzat să-L aibă pe Dumnezeu în cunoștința lor, Dumnezeu i-a predat unei minți reprobabile, ca să facă ceea ce nu se cuvine;

And as it semed not good vnto them to be aknowen of God even so God delivered them vp vnto a leawde mynd yt they shuld do tho thinges which were not comly

29 fiind plini de toată nedreptatea, de imoralitate sexuală, de răutate, de lăcomie, de răutate; plini de invidie, de crimă, de ceartă, de înșelăciune, de obiceiuri rele, calomniatori în secret,

beinge full of all vnrighteous doinge of fornicacio wickednes coveteousnes maliciousnes full of envie morther debate disseyte evill codicioned whisperers

30 hulitori, urâcioși față de Dumnezeu, obraznici, aroganți, lăudăroși, inventatori de lucruri rele, neascultători față de părinți,

backbyters haters of God doers of wroge proude bosters bringers vp of evyll thinges disobedient to father and mother

31 lipsiți de înțelegere, călcători de legământ, fără afecțiune firească, neiertători, nemiloși;

with out vnderstondinge covenaunte breakers vnlovinge trucebreakers and merciles.

32 care, cunoscând rânduiala lui Dumnezeu, că cei care practică astfel de lucruri sunt vrednici de moarte, nu numai că fac același lucru, dar și aprobă pe cei care le practică.

Which me though they knew the rightewesnes of God how that they which soche thinges commyt are worthy of deeth yet not only do the same but also have pleasure in them that do them.
