Apocalipsa 16
1 Am auzit un glas puternic din templu, care zicea celor șapte îngeri: “Duceți-vă și vărsați pe pământ cele șapte potire ale mâniei lui Dumnezeu!”.
Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary say to the seven angels, "Go and pour on to the earth the seven bowls of the anger of God."
2 Cel dintâi s-a dus și a vărsat cupa lui pe pământ, care a devenit o rană dureroasă și neplăcută pentru oamenii care aveau semnul fiarei și care se închinau chipului ei.
So the first angel went away and poured his bowl on to the earth; and it brought a bad and painful sore upon the men who had on them the mark of the Wild Beast and worshipped his statue.
3 Al doilea înger a vărsat cupa sa în mare, și s-a făcut sânge ca de mort. Orice ființă vie din mare a murit.
The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became blood, like a dead man's blood, and every living creature in the sea died.
4 Al treilea a vărsat cupa sa în râuri și în izvoare de apă, și acestea s-au făcut sânge.
The third angel poured his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
5 Am auzit pe îngerul apelor spunând: “Drept ești Tu, care ești și care erai, Sfinte, pentru că ai judecat aceste lucruri.
And I heard the angel of the waters say, "Righteous art Thou, who art and wast, the holy One, because Thou hast thus taken vengeance.
6 Căci ei au vărsat sângele sfinților și al profeților, iar tu le-ai dat să bea sânge. Ei merită acest lucru”.
For they poured out the blood of Thy people and of the Prophets, and in return Thou hast given them blood to drink. And this they deserved."
7 Am auzit altarul zicând: “Da, Doamne Dumnezeule, Atotputernicul, adevărate și drepte sunt judecățile Tale!”.
And I heard a voice from the altar say, "Even so, O Lord God, the Ruler of all, true and righteous are Thy judgments."
8 Al patrulea și-a vărsat cupa pe soare și i s-a dat să ardă pe oameni cu foc.
Then the fourth angel poured his bowl on to the sun, and power was given to it to scorch men with fire.
9 Oamenii au fost arși de o căldură mare, iar oamenii au hulit numele lui Dumnezeu, care are putere asupra acestor plăgi. Ei nu s-au pocăit și nu i-au dat slavă.
And the men were severely burned; and yet they spoke evil of God who had power over the plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.
10 Al cincilea și-a vărsat cupa pe scaunul de domnie al fiarei, și împărăția ei s-a întunecat. Și-au ros limbile din cauza durerilor,
The fifth angel poured his bowl on to the throne of the Wild Beast; and his kingdom became darkened. People gnawed their tongues because of the pain,
11 și au hulit pe Dumnezeul cerului din cauza durerilor și a rănilor lor. Și totuși nu s-au pocăit de faptele lor.
and they spoke evil of the God in Heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their misconduct.
12 Al șaselea și-a vărsat cupa pe râul cel mare, Eufrat. A secat apele lui, ca să fie pregătită calea pentru împărații care vor veni de la răsăritul soarelui.
The sixth angel poured his bowl into that great river, the Euphrates; and its stream was dried up in order to clear the way for the kings who are to come from the east.
13 Am văzut ieșind din gura balaurului, din gura fiarei și din gura falsului profet, trei duhuri necurate, ceva asemănător cu broaștele;
Then I saw three foul spirits, resembling frogs, issue from the mouth of the Dragon, from the mouth of the Wild Beast, and from the mouth of the false Prophet.
14 pentru că sunt duhuri de demoni, care fac semne și care merg la regii întregului pământ locuit, ca să-i adune pentru războiul din ziua aceea mare a lui Dumnezeu cel Atotputernic.
For they are the spirits of demons working marvels--spirits that go out to control the kings of the whole earth, to assemble them for the battle which is to take place on the great day of God, the Ruler of all.
15 “Iată, vin ca un hoț. Ferice de cel care veghează și își păstrează hainele, ca să nu umble gol și să nu i se vadă rușinea.”
("I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the man who keeps awake and guards his raiment for fear he walk about ill-clad, and his uncomeliness become manifest.")
16 El i-a adunat în locul care se numește în ebraică “Harmaghedon”.
And assemble them they did at the place called in Hebrew 'Har-Magedon.'
17 Al șaptelea și-a vărsat cupa în aer. Un glas puternic a ieșit din templul cerului, de pe tron, spunând: “S-a făcut!”.
Then the seventh angel poured his bowl into the air; and a loud voice came out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying, "Everything is now ready."
18 Au fost fulgere, sunete și tunete; și a fost un cutremur mare, cum nu s-a mai întâmplat de când există oameni pe pământ — un cutremur atât de mare și atât de puternic.
Flashes of lightning followed, and voices, and peals of thunder, and an earthquake more dreadful than there had ever been since there was a man upon the earth--so terrible was it, and so great!
19 Marele oraș a fost împărțit în trei părți și cetățile națiunilor au căzut. Babilonul cel mare a fost amintit în ochii lui Dumnezeu, ca să-i dea paharul cu vinul de foc al mâniei Lui.
The great city was split into three parts; the cities of the nations fell; and great Babylon came into remembrance before God, for Him to make her drink from the wine-cup of His fierce anger.
20 Toate insulele au fugit, și munții nu au mai fost găsiți.
Every island fled away, and there was not a mountain anywhere to be seen.
21 Grindină mare, de greutatea unui talant, a căzut din cer peste oameni. Oamenii l-au hulit pe Dumnezeu din cauza plăgii grindinei, căci această plagă a fost extrem de gravă.
And heavy hail, that seemed to be a talent in weight, fell from the sky upon the people; and they spoke evil of God on account of the plague of the hail--because the plague of it was exceedingly severe.
