Filimon 1
1 Pavel, prizonier al lui Hristos Isus, și Timotei, fratele nostru, lui Filimon, iubitul nostru colaborator,
Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother: To Philemon our dearly-loved fellow labourer--
2 iubitei Apfia, lui Archifos, tovarășul nostru de luptă, și adunării din casa voastră:
and to our sister Apphia and our comrade Archippus--as well as to the Church in your house.
3 Harul și pacea să vă fie vouă, de la Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru și de la Domnul Isus Hristos.
May grace be granted to you all, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Mulțumesc totdeauna Dumnezeului meu, pomenindu-vă în rugăciunile mele,
I give continual thanks to my God while making mention of you, my brother, in my prayers,
5 auzind de dragostea voastră și de credința pe care o aveți față de Domnul Isus și față de toți sfinții,
because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have towards the Lord Jesus and which you manifest towards all God's people;
6 pentru ca părtășia credinței voastre să se întărească în cunoașterea oricărui lucru bun care este în noi în Hristos Isus.
praying as I do, that their participation in your faith may result in others fully recognizing all the right affection that is in us toward Christ.
7 Căci avem multă bucurie și mângâiere în dragostea ta, pentru că inimile sfinților au fost înviorate prin tine, frate.
For I have found great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of God's people have been, and are, refreshed through you, my brother.
8 De aceea, deși am toată îndrăzneala în Hristos să vă poruncesc ceea ce se cuvine,
Therefore, though I might with Christ's authority speak very freely and order you to do what is fitting,
9 totuși, din pricina dragostei, mă adresez mai degrabă vouă, fiind unul ca Pavel, bătrân, dar și prizonier al lui Isus Hristos.
it is for love's sake that--instead of that--although I am none other than Paul the aged, and am now also a prisoner for Christ Jesus,
10 Mă adresez vouă pentru copilul meu Onesimus, căruia i-am devenit tată în lanțurile mele,
I entreat you on behalf of my own child whose father I have become while in my chains--I mean Onesimus.
11 care odinioară vă era inutil, dar acum vă este de folos vouă și mie.
Formerly he was useless to you, but now--true to his name--he is of great use to you and to me.
12 Îl trimit înapoi. Primiți-l, așadar, pe el, adică pe inima mea,
I am sending him back to you, though in so doing I send part of myself.
13 pe care am vrut să-l păstrez cu mine, pentru ca, în numele vostru, să-mi slujească în lanțurile mele pentru Buna Vestire.
It was my wish to keep him at my side for him to attend to my wants, as your representative, during my imprisonment for the Good News.
14 Dar nu am vrut să fac nimic fără acordul vostru, pentru ca bunătatea voastră să nu fie ca de nevoie, ci de bunăvoie.
Only I wished to do nothing without your consent, so that his kind action of yours might not be done under pressure, but might be a voluntary one.
15 De aceea, poate că a fost despărțit de voi pentru o vreme, pentru ca voi să-l aveți pentru totdeauna, (aiōnios g166)
For perhaps it was for this reason he was parted from you for a time, that you might receive him back wholly and for ever yours; (aiōnios g166)
16 nu mai ca sclav, ci mai mult decât un sclav, un frate iubit — mai ales pentru mine, dar cu atât mai mult pentru voi, atât în trup cât și în Domnul.
no longer as a slave, but as something better than a slave--a brother peculiarly dear to me, and even dearer to you, both as a servant and as a fellow Christian.
17 Deci, dacă mă socotiți părtaș, primiți-l pe el cum m-ați primi pe mine.
If therefore you regard me as a comrade, receive him as if he were I myself.
18 Dar dacă v-a făcut vreun rău sau dacă vă datorează ceva, puneți-l în contul meu.
And if he was ever dishonest or is in your debt, debit me with the amount.
19 Eu, Pavel, scriu aceasta cu mâna mea: Îl voi răsplăti (ca să nu vă mai spun că îmi sunteți dator chiar și dumneavoastră înșivă, pe lângă asta).
I Paul write this with my own hand--I will pay you in full. (I say nothing of the fact that you owe me even your own self.)
20 Da, frate, lasă-mă să mă bucur de tine în Domnul. Împrospătează-mi inima în Domnul.
Yes, brother, do me this favour for the Lord's sake. Refresh my heart in Christ.
21 Având încredere în ascultarea voastră, vă scriu, știind că veți face chiar mai mult decât vă spun eu.
I write to you in the full confidence that you will meet my wishes, for I know you will do even more than I say.
22 Pregătiți-mi și o cameră de oaspeți, căci sper că prin rugăciunile voastre voi fi înapoiat la voi.
And at the same time provide accommodation for me; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be permitted to come to you.
23 Vă salută Epafras, tovarășul meu de închisoare în Hristos Isus,
Greetings to you, my brother, from Epaphras my fellow prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus;
24 și Marcu, Aristarh, Demas și Luca, tovarășii mei de muncă.
and from Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.
25 Harul Domnului nostru Isus Hristos să fie cu duhul vostru. Amin.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the spirit of every one of you.
