1 Începutul Veștii Bune a lui Iisus Hristos, Fiul lui Dumnezeu.
Beginning of the glad-message of Jesus Christ.
2 După cum este scris în profeți, “Iată, trimit pe mesagerul Meu înaintea feței tale, care îți va pregăti calea înaintea ta:
According as it is written in Isaiah the prophet—Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way, —
3 glasul cuiva care strigă în pustiu, 'Pregătiți calea Domnului! Fă-i cărările drepte!”
A voice of one crying aloud—In the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight, be making his paths.
4 Ioan a venit să boteze în pustie și să propovăduiască botezul pocăinței pentru iertarea păcatelor.
John the Immerser came, in the wilderness, proclaiming an immersion of repentance for remission of sins;
5 Tot ținutul Iudeii și toți cei din Ierusalim au ieșit la el. Au fost botezați de el în râul Iordan, mărturisindu-și păcatele.
and there were going out unto him all the Judaea country and all they of Jerusalem, and were being immersed by him in the Jordan river, openly confessing their sins;
6 Ioan era îmbrăcat cu păr de cămilă și avea o curea de piele la brâu. El mânca lăcuste și miere sălbatică.
and John was clothed with camel’s-hair and a leathern girdle about his loins, and was eating locusts and wild honey;
7 El propovăduia, spunând: “După mine vine cel care este mai puternic decât mine, a cărui șnur al sandalelor nu sunt vrednic să mă aplec și să îl desfac.
and he proclaimed, saying—He that is mightier than I cometh after [me], of whom I am not worthy to stoop and unloose the strap of his sandals:
8 Eu v-am botezat în apă, dar el vă va boteza în Duhul Sfânt.”
I, have immersed you, with water, —He, will immerse you, with the Holy Spirit.
9 În zilele acelea, Isus a venit din Nazaret din Galileea și a fost botezat de Ioan în Iordan.
And it came to pass, in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed into the Jordan by John;
10 Imediat ce a ieșit din apă, a văzut cerurile despărțindu-se și Duhul Sfânt coborând peste el ca un porumbel.
And, straightway, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rending asunder, and, the Spirit, as a dove, descending unto him;
11 Un glas a venit din cer: “Tu ești Fiul Meu preaiubit, în care Îmi găsesc plăcerea.”
and a voice [came] out of the heavens—Thou, art my Son, the Beloved, —In thee, I delight.
12 Și îndată Duhul Sfânt l-a izgonit în pustiu.
And, straightway, the Spirit urgeth him forth into the wilderness;
13 Acolo, în pustiu, a stat patruzeci de zile, ispitit de Satana. Era cu animalele sălbatice; și îngerii îi slujeau.
and he was in the wilderness, forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts, —and, the messengers, were ministering unto him.
14 După ce Ioan a fost luat în temniță, Isus a venit în Galileea, propovăduind vestea cea bună a Împărăției lui Dumnezeu,
And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the glad-message of God,
15 și zicând: “Timpul s-a împlinit și Împărăția lui Dumnezeu este aproape! Pocăiți-vă și credeți în Vestea cea Bună!”.
[and saying]—The season is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God hath drawn near, —Repent ye, and have faith in the glad-message.
16 Trecând pe malul mării Galileii, a văzut pe Simon și pe Andrei, fratele lui Simon, care aruncau o plasă în mare, căci erau pescari.
And, passing by near the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea, —for they were fishers;
17 Isus le-a zis: “Veniți după Mine și vă voi face pescari de oameni”.
and Jesus said unto them—Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
18 Și îndată și-au lăsat plasele și au mers după El.
and, straightway, leaving the nets, they followed him.
19 Și, mergând puțin mai departe de acolo, a văzut pe Iacov, fiul lui Zebedei, și pe fratele său Ioan, care erau și ei în corabie și reparau plasele.
And, going forward a little, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, and them who were in the boat putting in order the nets;
20 Imediat i-a chemat, iar ei au lăsat pe tatăl lor, Zebedei, în barcă, cu slujitorii angajați, și au mers după el.
and, straightway, he called them, —and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat, with the hired men, they came away after him.
21 S-au dus în Capernaum, și îndată, în ziua de Sabat, a intrat în sinagogă și învăța.
And they journey into Capernaum. And, straightway, on the Sabbath, entering into the synagogue, he began teaching;
22 Ei erau uimiți de învățătura lui, pentru că îi învăța ca având autoritate, și nu ca pe cărturari.
and they were being struck with astonishment at his teaching, —for he was teaching them as one having authority, and, not as the Scribes.
23 Îndată s-a găsit în sinagoga lor un om cu un duh necurat și a strigat, zicând:
And, straightway, there was in their synagogue, a man in an impure spirit, —and he cried out aloud,
24 “Ha! Ce avem noi de-a face cu tine, Isus, Nazarineanule? Ai venit să ne distrugi? Eu știu cine ești: Sfântul lui Dumnezeu!”.
saying—What have we in common with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee, who thou art, The Holy One of God.
25 Isus l-a mustrat și i-a zis: “Taci și ieși din el!”
And Jesus rebuked him, [saying]—Be silenced, and come forth out of him!
26 Și duhul necurat a ieșit din el, care-l zguduia și striga cu glas tare.
And the impure spirit, tearing him, and calling out with a loud voice, came forth out of him;
27 Toți erau uimiți, așa că se întrebau între ei și ziceau: “Ce este aceasta? O învățătură nouă? Pentru că el poruncește cu autoritate chiar și duhurilor necurate, iar acestea îl ascultă!”
and they were amazed, one and all, so that they began to discuss among themselves, saying—What is this? New teaching! With authority, to the impure spirits also, he giveth orders, and they obey him!
28 Imediat, vestea despre el s-a răspândit pretutindeni în toată regiunea Galileii și în împrejurimile ei.
And forth went the report of him, straightway, on every hand, into the surrounding country of Galilee.
29 Și îndată ce au ieșit din sinagogă, au intrat în casa lui Simon și Andrei, cu Iacov și Ioan.
And, straightway, out of the synagogue, going forth, he went unto the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Mama soției lui Simon zăcea bolnavă de febră și îndată i-au povestit despre ea.
Now, the mother-in-law of Simon, was lying in a fever, and, straightway, they speak to him concerning her;
31 El a venit, a luat-o de mână și a ridicat-o. Febra a lăsat-o imediat și ea le-a slujit.
and, coming near, he raised her up, grasping her hand, —and the fever left her, and she began ministering unto them.
32 Seara, când a apus soarele, au adus la El pe toți cei bolnavi și pe cei posedați de demoni.
And, evening arriving, when the sun went in, they were bearing unto him all who were sick, and them who were demonized;
33 Toată cetatea era adunată la ușă.
and all the city was gathered unto the door;
34 El a vindecat pe mulți bolnavi de diferite boli și a izgonit mulți demoni. Nu le permitea demonilor să vorbească, pentru că îl cunoșteau.
and he cured many that were sick with divers diseases, and, many demons, he cast out, and suffered not the demons to be talking, —because they knew him [to be Christ].
35 Dis-de-dimineață, pe când era încă întuneric, s-a sculat și a ieșit afară, s-a dus într-un loc pustiu și s-a rugat acolo.
And, very early by night arising, he went out [and departed] into a desert place, and, there, was praying;
36 Simon și cei care erau cu el l-au căutat.
and Simon, and they who were with him, went in quest of him,
37 L-au găsit și i-au spus: “Toată lumea te caută.”
and found him, and say unto him—All, are seeking thee;
38 Și le-a zis: “Să mergem în altă parte, în cetățile vecine, ca să propovăduiesc și acolo, căci pentru aceasta am ieșit.”
and he saith unto them—Let us be going elsewhere, into the neighbouring country-towns, in order that, there also, I may be making proclamation, —for, to this end, came I forth;
39 Și a mers în sinagogile lor în toată Galileea, predicând și scoțând demoni.
and he came, making proclamation, into their synagogues, throughout the whole of Galilee, —and, was casting the demons out.
40 Un leprosar a venit la El și L-a rugat, îngenunchind în fața Lui și spunându-I: “Dacă vrei, poți să mă cureți.”
And there cometh unto him, a leper, beseeching him and [kneeling], —saying unto him—If thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me;
41 Și, cuprins de milă, a întins mâna, l-a atins și i-a zis: “Vreau să... Să fie curățat”.
and, moved with compassion, he stretched forth the hand, and touched him, and saith unto him—I am willing, Be cleansed!
42 După ce a spus aceasta, îndată lepra s-a depărtat de la el și a fost curățit.
and, straightway, the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed;
43 El l-a avertizat cu strictețe și l-a trimis imediat afară,
and, strictly charging him, straightway, he urged him forth;
44 și i-a zis: “Vezi să nu spui nimic nimănui, ci du-te să te prezinți preotului și oferă pentru curățirea ta ceea ce a poruncit Moise, ca mărturie pentru ei.”
and saith unto him—Mind! unto no one, say aught, —but withdraw, thyself, show unto the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what things Moses enjoined, for a witness unto them.
45 Dar el a ieșit și a început să propovăduiască mult și să răspândească vestea, încât Isus nu mai putea intra în cetate, ci era afară, în locuri pustii. Oamenii veneau la el de pretutindeni.
But, he, going forth, began to be proclaiming many things, and blazing abroad the story, so that, no longer, was it possible for him, openly, into a city, to enter, —but, outside, in desert places, [was he], and they were coming unto him from every quarter.
