Luca 17
1 El a zis ucenicilor: “Nu se poate să nu vină prilejuri de poticnire, ci vai de cel prin care vin!
And Jesus said to his disciples: It cannot be, but that offences will come: but woe to him, by whom they come.
2 Ar fi mai bine pentru el să i se atârne de gât o piatră de moară și să fie aruncat în mare, decât să facă să se poticnească unul dintre acești micuți.
Better for him were it, if a millstone were suspended to his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Fiți atenți. Dacă fratele tău păcătuiește împotriva ta, mustră-l. Dacă se pocăiește, iartă-l.
Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother transgress, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 Dacă va păcătui împotriva ta de șapte ori într-o zi și de șapte ori se va întoarce, spunând: “Mă pocăiesc”, să-l ierți.”
And if he shall offend against thee seven times in a day, and, seven times in a day, shall turn himself to thee, and say, I repent; forgive him.
5 Apostolii au zis Domnului: “Mărește-ne credința!”
And the Legates said to our Lord: Increase our faith.
6 Domnul a zis: “Dacă ai avea credință ca un grăunte de muștar, ai spune acestui sicomor: “Dezrădăcinează-te și sădește-te în mare”, și el te-ar asculta.
He said to them: If ye had faith like a grain of mustard seed, ye might say to this mulberry-tree, Be thou torn up by the roots, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
7 Dar cine dintre voi, având un rob care ară sau păzește oile, va spune, când vine de la câmp: 'Vino îndată și stai la masă'?
Which of you, having a servant driving a yoke of oxen, or tending sheep, will say to him when he cometh from the field, Pass on at once, and recline for supper?
8 Nu i-ar spune mai degrabă: 'Pregătește-mi cina, îmbracă-te cum se cuvine și servește-mă în timp ce mănânc și beau. După aceea vei mânca și vei bea'?”
But he will say to him: Prepare for me what I may sup upon, and gird thy loins and serve me, until I have eaten and drunken; and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink.
9 Îi mulțumește oare acelui servitor pentru că a făcut ceea ce i s-a poruncit? Cred că nu.
Hath he thanks for him, because the servant did what was commanded him? I think not.
10 Tot așa și voi, după ce ați făcut tot ce vi s-a poruncit, spuneți: 'Suntem niște servitori nevrednici. Ne-am făcut datoria'”.
So also ye, when ye have done all the things commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants, for we have done only what we were obligated to do.
11 Pe când se îndrepta spre Ierusalim, a trecut pe lângă hotarele Samariei și ale Galileii.
And it occurred as Jesus advanced towards Jerusalem, that he passed among the Samaritans into Galilee.
12 Pe când intra într-un sat, l-a întâmpinat zece bărbați leproși, care stăteau la distanță.
And when he drew near to enter a certain village, there met him ten leprous men; and they stood at a distance,
13 Ei și-au ridicat glasul și au zis: “Isuse, Învățătorule, ai milă de noi!”
and raised their voice, and said: Our Rabbi, Jesus, have compassion upon us.
14 Când i-a văzut, le-a zis: “Duceți-vă și arătați-vă la preoți.” Pe măsură ce se duceau, au fost curățați.
And when he had looked upon them, he said to them: Go, show yourselves to the priests. And as they were going, they were cleansed.
15 Unul dintre ei, când a văzut că s-a vindecat, s-a întors înapoi, slăvind pe Dumnezeu cu glas tare.
And one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, returned, and with a loud voice, glorified God.
16 A căzut cu fața la picioarele lui Isus, mulțumindu-i; și era un samaritean.
And he fell on his face, at the feet of Jesus, and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.
17 Isus a răspuns: “Nu au fost curățați cei zece? Dar unde sunt cei nouă?
And Jesus answered, and said: Were they not ten who were cleansed? Where are the nine?
18 Nu s-a găsit niciunul care să se întoarcă să dea slavă lui Dumnezeu, în afară de acest străin?”
Have they so gone as not to come and give glory to God; except this one, who is of another nation?
19 Atunci i-a zis: “Scoală-te și du-te. Credința ta te-a vindecat”.
And he said to him; Arise, and go: thy faith hath given thee life.
20 Fiind întrebat de farisei când va veni Împărăția lui Dumnezeu, El le-a răspuns: “Împărăția lui Dumnezeu nu vine cu observație;
And as some of the Pharisees asked him, When the kingdom of God would come; he answered, and said to them: The kingdom of God will not come with observables.
21 nici nu vor spune: “Priviți, aici!” sau “Priviți, acolo!”, căci iată, Împărăția lui Dumnezeu este înăuntrul vostru”.
And they will not say: Behold, here it is! or, Behold, it is there! For lo, the kingdom of God is within you
22 El a zis ucenicilor: “Vor veni zile când veți dori să vedeți una din zilele Fiului Omului și nu o veți vedea.
And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when ye will long to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye will not see them.
23 Ei vă vor spune: “Uite, aici!” sau “Uite, acolo!”. Nu plecați și nu mergeți după ei, nici nu vă luați după ei,
And if they shall say to you: Lo, here he is! or, Lo, there he is! go not forth.
24 pentru că, așa cum fulgerul, când strălucește dintr-o parte de sub cer, strălucește în altă parte de sub cer, așa va fi și Fiul Omului în ziua lui.
For, as the lightning darteth from the heavens, and illuminateth all beneath the heavens; so will the Son of man be, in his day.
25 Dar, mai întâi, trebuie să sufere multe și să fie respins de această generație.
But, previously, he is to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.
26 Cum a fost în zilele lui Noe, așa va fi și în zilele Fiului Omului.
And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of man.
27 Au mâncat, au băut, s-au căsătorit și s-au dat în căsătorie până în ziua în care Noe a intrat în corabie și a venit potopul și i-a distrus pe toți.
They ate and drank, they took wives and were given to husbands, until the day that Noah entered the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed every one.
28 Tot așa, așa a fost și în zilele lui Lot: au mâncat, au băut, au cumpărat, au vândut, au plantat, au zidit;
And again, as it was in the days of Lot; they ate and drank, bought and sold, planted and built.
29 dar în ziua în care Lot a ieșit din Sodoma, a plouat foc și sulf din cer și i-a nimicit pe toți.
But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, the Lord rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 La fel se va întâmpla și în ziua în care se va arăta Fiul Omului.
Thus will it be, in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
31 În ziua aceea, cel care va fi pe acoperișul casei și cu bunurile sale în casă, să nu se coboare să le ia. Cel care va fi pe câmp, la fel, să nu se întoarcă înapoi.
In that day, let him that is on the house-top, and his goods in the house, not come down to take them: and let him that is in the field, not return after what is behind him.
32 Adu-ți aminte de soția lui Lot!
Remember Lot's wife.
33 Cine caută să-și salveze viața o pierde, dar cine își pierde viața o păstrează.
He that desireth to preserve his life, will lose it; and he that will lose his life, shall preserve it.
34 Vă spun că, în noaptea aceea, vor fi doi oameni în același pat. Unul va fi luat și celălalt va fi lăsat.
I tell you, that, in that night, two will be in one bed; one will be taken, and the other left.
35 Vor fi doi care vor măcina grâu împreună. Unul va fi luat și celălalt va rămâne.”
And two females will be grinding together; one will be taken, and the other left.
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken, and the other left.
37 Ei, răspunzând, L-au întrebat: “Unde, Doamne?” El le-a spus: “Unde este trupul, acolo se vor aduna și vulturii”.
They answered, and said to him: Whither, our Lord? He said to them: Where the body is, there will the eagles assemble themselves.
