1 Ioan 3
1 Vedeți cât de mare este dragostea pe care ne-a dat-o Tatăl, ca să ne numim copii ai lui Dumnezeu! De aceea, lumea nu ne cunoaște, pentru că nu l-a cunoscut pe el.
Behold what manner of love the Father has given us in allowing us to be called "Children of God!" And that is what we are. For this reason the world does not recognize us, because it did not know him.
2 Iubiților, acum suntem copii ai lui Dumnezeu. Încă nu ni s-a descoperit ce vom fi; dar știm că, atunci când se va descoperi, vom fi asemenea lui, pentru că îl vom vedea așa cum este el.
We are God’s children now, beloved; what we shall be has never yet been made manifest. But we know that when he is manifested we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
3 Oricine are această nădejde pusă în el se purifică pe sine, așa cum și el este curat.
And every one who is holding this hope in him is purifying himself, even as he is pure.
4 Oricine păcătuiește comite și fărădelege. Păcatul este fărădelege.
Every one who commits sin commits also lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
5 Știți că El S-a arătat ca să ia păcatele noastre, și niciun păcat nu este în El.
And you know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Oricine rămâne în El nu păcătuiește. Cine păcătuiește nu l-a văzut și nu-l cunoaște.
Whoever continually abides in him does not habitually sin; whoever lives in sin has not seen him, nor come to know him.
7 Copilașilor, nimeni să nu vă abată din drum. Cel ce face dreptate este drept, așa cum este el drept.
My children, let no one deceive you; he who is working righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous.
8 Cel ce păcătuiește este de la diavol, căci diavolul păcătuiește de la început. În acest scop a fost revelat Fiul lui Dumnezeu: ca să distrugă lucrările diavolului.
He who is committing sin is of the devil, because from the beginning of the devil is sinning. It was for this cause that the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Oricine este născut din Dumnezeu nu comite păcat, pentru că sămânța lui rămâne în el și nu poate păcătui, pentru că este născut din Dumnezeu.
Whoever is a child of God cannot go on sinning, because his seed is abiding in him; and he cannot go on sinning because he is a child of God.
10 În aceasta s-au arătat copiii lui Dumnezeu și copiii diavolului. Oricine nu face dreptate nu este de la Dumnezeu, și nici cel care nu-și iubește fratele.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil; for every one who does not work righteousness is not a child of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
11 Căci acesta este mesajul pe care l-ați auzit de la început, că trebuie să ne iubim unii pe alții —
For this is the message that you have listened to from the beginning, "WE ARE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER."
12 spre deosebire de Cain, care a fost de la cel rău și și-a ucis fratele. De ce l-a ucis? Pentru că faptele lui erau rele, iar ale fratelui său drepte.
We are not to be like Cain, who belonged to the Evil One, and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? It was because his own deeds were evil, and his brother’s, righteous.
13 Nu vă mirați, frații mei, dacă lumea vă urăște.
Do not wonder, brothers, if the world continues to hate you.
14 Noi știm că am trecut din moarte la viață, pentru că iubim pe frații noștri. Cel care nu-și iubește fratele rămâne în moarte.
We know that we have migrated, out of death into life, because we love our brothers. He who has no love is abiding in death.
15 Oricine își urăște fratele este un ucigaș, și știți că niciun ucigaș nu are viață veșnică rămasă în el. (aiōnios g166)
Every one who is hating his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)
16 Întru aceasta cunoaștem dragostea, pentru că El Și-a dat viața pentru noi. Și noi trebuie să ne dăm viața pentru frați.
By this we learn to know love, because he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 Dar oricine are bunurile lumii și vede pe fratele său în nevoie, apoi își închide inima de compasiune împotriva lui, cum rămâne în el dragostea lui Dumnezeu?
But whoever has this world’s goods, and beholds his brother in need, and shuts up his heart against him, how can the love of God continue to abide in him?
18 Copilașii mei, să nu iubim numai cu vorba și numai cu limba, ci cu fapta și cu adevărul.
My children, let us not love in word nor in talk, but in deed and in truth.
19 Și prin aceasta cunoaștem că suntem din adevăr și ne convingem inimile înaintea lui,
By this we shall come to know that we are really of the truth,
20 pentru că, dacă inima noastră ne osândește, Dumnezeu este mai mare decât inima noastră și cunoaște toate lucrurile.
and shall persuade our heart in his presence whenever our heart condemns us, because God is greater than our heart and knows all things.
21 Preaiubiților, dacă inima noastră nu ne condamnă, avem îndrăzneală față de Dumnezeu;
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence toward God,
22 așa că orice cerem, primim de la el, pentru că păzim poruncile lui și facem ceea ce este plăcut înaintea lui.
and whatever we ask we are receiving from him, because we are keeping his commandments and doing those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 Aceasta este porunca lui: să credem în numele Fiului său, Isus Hristos, și să ne iubim unii pe alții, așa cum a poruncit el.
His commandment is this, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another as he has commanded us to do.
24 Cine păzește poruncile Lui rămâne în El și El în El. Prin aceasta cunoaștem că el rămâne în noi, prin Duhul pe care ni l-a dat.
He who keeps his commandments is abiding in Him, and Christ in him. By this we know that Christ is abiding in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.
